Amazing
GGuest UserThis hostel boasts an unbeatable location, just a minute or two's walk from the Grindelwald Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient.
The natural scenery is absolutely stunning. You can gaze upon majestic snow-capped mountains and lush green slopes, a truly magnificent and healing view. The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience.
The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped.
Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice.
CChichihehekaixinxinEnvironment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although it’s a 20-minute walk, it’s all uphill and it’s super tiring! !
Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.
AAnonymous UserThe Aarburg Hotel & Café is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While it’s tempting to take the shortcut, I’d recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weather—it’s much easier for pulling luggage.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffee—it lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The café is pet-friendly, so don’t be surprised to see a few furry friends around.
The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night.
With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. I’d happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.
JJuannebellaThank you Mr Jean-Louis for your generosity and hospitality! It’s nice meeting you in person. Hotel Rossli is clean and comfy, located strategically close to train and bus stops. They also give to us Visitors Card through our stay (doesn’t need further validation, but just hop on and hop off the public transport within the inclusive area which was explained clearly to us during check in) which even covers the public transport to visit St Beatus Waterfall and Isewald for “Steg Crash Landing on You” viewpoint and Brienzersee Lakewalk, The location also made it easy for us to travel to both Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Can’t believe we could manage to visit so many places with just a 2 nights stay. The hotel is also within walking distance to nearby grocery stores. Last but not least, the hotel also provides common/shared kitchen with microwave oven and unlimited coffee and teas! And there are many many TV channels, even more TV channels than usual 4 or 5 stars hotels. All in all, highly recommend. Would come back and stay again 😊
JJames0315The bed is a bit small, and then there will be noise as soon as there is movement, others are good, the staff is very nice, the breakfast meal is quite rich
HHuahuachibubao919The room was very satisfactory. We booked a triple room on the top floor with a bed for each person. It also had a fully equipped kitchen and a small refrigerator. Vlad was very enthusiastic. We discussed in advance to store our luggage to go to the first mountain, which was very convenient for us. The hotel window can directly see the snow-capped mountains opposite. The weather is good and the view is better when you go out in the morning. He also provided us with a lot of travel guides, which was very good compared to the recommendations on Xiaohongshu. In general, Vlad is a very good person and will book this hotel next time.
GGuest UserClose to the West Station, if you take the bus from the Jungfrau, and the bus is only two miles in an hour, but only two stations are also very fast. Although there are restaurants downstairs in the hotel, it is very quiet. It was the curtain that couldn't stop the light, and the Christmas tree outside was still lit up for a night.捂脸🤦♀️
GGuest UserLocation was perfect one stop by bus away from the train station, right across ski rental stop with direct bus right outside towards ski lifts, the restaurant of the hotel is also amazing and I loved the Rosti they made me.
陈陈The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast environment was just fine! Can be extra bed! This hotel is a bit historyable. There is no elevator on one side of the building, and there is an elevator on the other side, but the price is slightly more expensive! The traffic is not too convenient. If you are going from the West Railway Station, you have to take a walk and there is a little mountain road, but we have all gone down!
