GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic! Right outside the train station, which saved us the hassle of dragging our luggage far to find the hotel or taking public transport with it. Apart from First Mountain, we took the train daily to explore the town, so having the station right outside was incredibly convenient. It's also a 2-minute walk to the Coop supermarket. Our room faced the Eiger, and the view was absolutely stunning. After three nights, I really didn't want to leave!

GGuest UserNot close to the train station or lift station. Requires a pretty good uphill walk. About 15-20 min walk uphill from train station, and about 10-15 min walk from the ski lift/gondola. But once you get there, the location is beautiful. The hotel does offer a shuttle/e-car/bus transport. It's quiet, overlooks the town, views of the mountains, perfect secluded space. Hotel is clean, rooms are beautifully designed, compact but functional. Beds are comfortable, loved the rooms. We had a family room which was perfect for our family of four. The family room consists of two separate rooms across from each other in the hallway. In the hallway, there was a private entrance that brought you into the space where the two rooms were located. We loved this, because it turned our hallway between the two rooms into a foyer. Service was attentive and detailed. Loved the welcome beverage at check-in - nice touch, set the tone for the rest of the stay. Bar was cute and menu was creative. Patio deck restaurant was a perfect place for lunch. Amazing view of town and mountains, outdoor kitchen. Restaurant was great - food and service were wonderful. Breakfast was lovely. We do wish they would have changed up a couple things each day, because it was the same thing every day. Pool/Spa area was amazing. It had everything - sauna, steam room, plunge pool, two lounge pools, hot tub, showers. Caution: remember we are in Europe, some people may enter some of the facilities nude. We are personally not accustom to that, so it was definitely a little alarming for our children to see grown adults around naked. It would not be a bad idea for the hotel to have a policy around nudity or at least warn guests at check-in, on the website, or with signage. Wengen was our favorite place we visited on our tour of Switzerland, will be back, and when we come back it will be at this hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe Aarburg Hotel & Café is a charming little spot in Interlaken, just a 15-minute walk from Interlaken West train station. While it’s tempting to take the shortcut, I’d recommend sticking to the main road, especially in snowy weather—it’s much easier for pulling luggage. Check-in was smooth and efficient, but do note there are no lifts in this cozy hotel. Carrying heavy bags up the narrow stairs was a bit of a workout, so pack light if you can. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the coffee—it lived up to all the glowing Google reviews. Breakfast was simple but wholesome, with fresh bread, croissants, yogurt, and healthy toppings like dried berries, almonds, and chia seeds. The café is pet-friendly, so don’t be surprised to see a few furry friends around. The room itself was modest but comfortable. However, as the building is wooden, sounds tend to carry. We wondered if we were bothering other occupants but thankfully, no complaints! The location is peaceful, away from the main road, though the church bells that sound at intervals through the night was a little disturbing on the first night. With a supermarket near the train station for quick snacks and essentials, this hotel is both convenient and quiet. Perfect for couples looking for a laid-back stay. I’d happily book here again if I return to Interlaken.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied. The location is excellent, right in the bustling area of Interlaken. The front desk service was fantastic. The room had a coffee machine, an electric kettle, tea bags, and a bottle of mineral water. Plus, it came with a balcony, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was also included. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

DDonW1128Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Is pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel that left a lasting impression. From its impeccable design to the delectable breakfast, my experience was delightful overall. Although the weather didn't quite cooperate during my stay, the hotel's fantastic service more than made up for it. The hotel's interior design is simply stunning. Every aspect of the decor exudes elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident, and it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the premises. The architecture and furnishings are tastefully chosen, providing a luxurious and comfortable ambiance for guests. One of the highlights of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking view. Unfortunately, I encountered some bad luck with the weather during my stay, which limited my ability to fully enjoy the surroundings. However, even through the mist and rain, I could sense the beauty that lay beyond the hotel's windows. I can only imagine how magical it would be on a clear day. The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel's commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every interaction, making the stay truly enjoyable. breakfast was simply delicious! The array of options available was impressive, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. this hotel left a lasting impression on me. The well-designed interiors, the mesmerizing view (even through the rain), the exceptional service, and the mouthwatering breakfast made my stay truly remarkable. If you're looking for a hotel that combines elegance, comfort, and impeccable service, this is the place to be.

GGuest UserThis hotel was honestly a really good value for the price. The location is very convenient — less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are also bus stops nearby, so getting around was very easy. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice atmosphere. Opening the window in the room, you can see calm and peaceful scenery outside, which made the stay feel very relaxing. The room and bathroom were nice, and the bathroom had a separate shower area, which was really convenient. One thing I especially appreciated was the shared dining area. There was a place to boil water, make coffee or tea, and they also provided microwave, basic utensils and tableware. It was very useful for us since we brought some instant noodles and simple food back to the hotel at night. Haha, the selection of one British tea brand they provided here felt even more varied than what I usually see in supermarkets back in the UK. The staff were also very kind and helpful. I accidentally lost a T-shirt there, but they contacted housekeeping for me and eventually found it. I really appreciated their help. We stayed here for two nights, and because the hotel was fully booked for our last night in Interlaken, we moved to another hotel that was more expensive. But we still preferred this one because it felt more comfortable and practical for travelers like us.

Ppetter62First, let's talk about the location. From Interlaken Ost station, turn right and walk straight for about 280 meters, and you'll arrive. Actually, you don't even need to exit the station; just walk to the end of the platform, and it's much closer. We discovered this later and always used that route – just make sure you know which platform to walk along directly, avoiding the underground passage. Second, the hotel service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. They gave a thorough introduction to the hotel and important notices, specifically mentioning not to put food waste in the bins. For self-catered food, there's a dedicated dining area (Pic 8) where they provide free plates and cutlery, which you just need to return to the bar counter after use. We had to book a suite because all other rooms were full. The room was quite spacious, with a small balcony offering a nice view of the mountains behind (Pics 1, 2). The bathroom had a massage bathtub with lavender and ice salt available, which was incredibly relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was served in the back garden, and the setting was lovely. The only drawback was that the temperature hit 30 degrees Celsius during our first few days, and the room had no air conditioning. (Hotels with AC are rare there, which is understandable, but I still hope they'll improve this in the future, especially with global temperatures rising). After contacting the front desk, they provided a fan, which helped a lot. In the following days, the temperature dropped, and it was fine; after all, it gets cool in the mountains at night. The hotel's decor style truly resembles a vintage European hotel. Plus, there's a row of seats and tables outside the entrance, which is a great spot to sit and enjoy the street view in the evening. Directly opposite the hotel is the cable car station for the Harder Kulm viewpoint, and Hohematte Park is just a short walk away. Third, directly across from the train station is a large Coop supermarket that has pretty much everything. As others have mentioned, the roasted chicken is indeed cheap and delicious, about 7 CHF for half a chicken. It closes at 7 PM, but there's also a smaller Coop supermarket inside the train station that closes at 9 PM. It has fewer varieties than the main one, but it still covers basic food needs, even if the selection isn't huge.

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely beautiful and has a charming, vintage feel. Even though Wengen is nestled in the mountains, the views are truly stunning – snow-capped peaks and the 'dreamy hillside' are right before your eyes! We booked two rooms: the garden suite was exquisitely decorated (a shame it didn't have a balcony, as it was a duplex top-floor attic), and the balcony room offered delightful views from its balcony. Both had their own unique charm.

QQuacks and LolaLocation The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Interlaken Ost train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just about 100 meters away. This is very convenient for excursions in the region. Room The room was beautifully decorated in an appealing Baroque style, making it cozy and elegant. We also received a nice upgrade to a room with a balcony, which made our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a drawback: the silicone joints in the shower showed mold. This is unacceptable in a 4-star hotel. Staff / Reception At check-in, Pierre truly impressed us: he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented. The rest of the staff was generally attentive and friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unsure and not always entirely competent. Language skills were an issue: German is only spoken to a limited extent, and Swiss German not at all, which sometimes complicated communication. Breakfast The breakfast, unfortunately, was very disappointing and did not match the quality expected of a 4-star hotel. • There was no declaration or allergen labeling for the food. • The products offered seemed cheap and stale: scrambled eggs from a carton, hard pretzels from the day before, and pastries and bread that were consistently low-quality frozen goods. On the positive side, the reception actively asked for our feedback after breakfast. After our honest comments, something was brought to our room as an apology. Unfortunately, this included some already moldy berries, which negated the good gesture. Overall Impression Despite the beautiful central location, the generally very nice room with a balcony upgrade, and especially Pierre's outstanding service, our stay was overall disappointing. The mold in the shower joints and the low-quality breakfast left a negative impression. For the price and star category, we would have expected significantly more cleanliness and quality. Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel.

AAnonymous UserHotel is a 10-15mins walk from Interlaken West station. Surrounding has quite a number of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is also in a scenic part of Interlaken where you can see the mountains and the blue waters in the stream which makes for great photos. You can also spot para gliders too. If you walk along the lake you can reach Interlaken Ost station in about 20mins or so. Quite a nice walk along the river! The hotel itself is 3-storey. Everything is pretty much self service and there is no reception/staff around - you key in a code to enter the main entrance, and there is a desktop/tablet for you to check in yourself. There is a small luggage room for you to leave your luggage inside. There is also a small common pantry with some basic electrical appliances like kettle and fridge for guests. There is no lift and you have to carry your luggage up the spiral staircase. The room itself is small, clean and simple - just a bed, some hangers and a toilet. There is no TV. Hotel left a toblerone chocolate on the bed as a gift for us which is cute. Also found out that the owner owns a cafe around the corner (called “Spatz”) and we were given a coffee voucher which was nice. We needed some help with check in and we went to the cafe to look for the owner for help, and he kindly helped us.
