GGuest UserRadha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India.
For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information:
- The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking.
- It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk.
- It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter.
- Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2.
- Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

GGuest UserThe only problem is they didn't confirm whichever booking is this. At the time of checking out they told u I have two bookings one at MakeMyTrip but unfortunately I don't get confirmation hence i thought money will be refunded so I booked from trip.com and got instant mail. Without staying money got deducted from MakeMyTrip as well.

the resort surroundings are peaceful, making it a great escape from city life.

pure vegetarian food, and surprisingly, every dish was delicious and well-prepared.
a good variety in the menu, catering to different taste preferences.
the dining area was clean and well-organized.
💁♂️ service & hospitality:
the staff was polite, professional, and always ready to help.
quick service and attention to detail made our stay very comfortable.
special requests were well-handled, making the experience more personalized.
🌿 location & experience:
centrally located in matheran, making it easy to access major points.
the resort had a peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxation.
a great place for couples, families, and even group travelers.

✅ better than expected from the pictures i’d definitely recommend adamo the village to anyone visiting matheran! 🌿🏡✨

GGuest UserThis hotel was a pleasant surprise. Nice home stay type hotel with a calm quiet and pleasant surrounding. Good food and over all service
however, toiletries and bathroom towels should be provided to all guests and proper beds all should also be provided, feel that rates are bit on high side and more proper maintenance is needed
will definitely book this hotel again if need occurs
