MManonJ9I wish I could have stayed another day, the place is so perfect! The beds are comfortable, the hygiene is impeccable, but above all, the staff is incredible and so kind. We even shared a barbecue together and drank sake! I recommend it 1000%! They also gave excellent advice on activities to do in the surrounding area!

JJette Marie☀️ When i first arrived, i thought i was at the wrong place - i‘ve never booked something so nice for myself before! 🪲PROS - chill 4 people bedrooms, with a comfy bed and a big personal shelf + locker and a fridge for the room - clean facilities and rooms - towel, toothpaste/toothpaste and yukata were provided as well as shampoo and showergel - the common room was so cozy and nice, with tea and water always at the ready and a great view of the garden - i was satisfied with both the dinner and breakfast and the price was fairly cheap (~1200¥ or a bit more, depending on your choices) - PRIVATE ONSEN that you can book for around 50minutes at night and can use in the morning if nobody else is already using it (costs around 150¥ per use) - there is a shuttle bus going at pretty regular times in the morning. They offer a ride to both Gora-Station or Hakone-Open-Air-Museum! 🩸CONS - far from the city-centre/train station 🌱 i really enjoyed my stay. I had cool roomies that became travel companions and absolutely loved the inn, the onsen, the food and the kind staff! Definitely a recommendation if you ever decide to stay in Hakone - i would book again!

GGuest UserWe loved this experience! After travelling from Tokyo that morning and all around Hakone, we were wrecked by the time we got to the accommodation. The hosts offer free collection from the bottom of the cable car. We text them saying we would be arriving in 10 minutes and they had someone waiting for us. The check in was smooth and the hosts are very accommodating, have good English and will do anything they can to help you. We had a room with a Mt. Fuji view who was on show for a few hours. They then brought us in a shuttle to a nearby restaurant and the restaurant brought us back to the accommodation. The accom was very big for the two of us and we found the beds really comfy. We also got private onsen for 30 mins (available between 10-11pm) for only 2,000 yen. In the morning, they dropped us back (again free) to our bus stop. We loved this whole experience and calm back feeling relaxed and revived. Couldn’t recommend more!

GGuest UserThis is the first time I've stayed in a hostel with an onsen! The onsen while small, does the job, and the outdoor onsen was really peaceful at night. I booked a queen bed for 2 people and it was spacious enough for me to hold all my belongings. Hostel staff were really friendly as well. One thing to note though is if you're planning to stay here, getting here from Hatsune-Yumato station requires a very steep climb up the road and a trek through the forest, so do NOT attempt to walk here yourself! Take the K-line bus instead, which drops you 100m away from the hostel.

MM10880****This is a surprisingly old hotel. While many of the amenities are dated and some rooms lack private bathrooms, my personal experience makes it highly recommended. I stumbled upon a deal on Ctrip and booked a room with an indoor hot spring bath and private bathroom. Each room has a different name. We stayed in Chidori, which was on the second floor without an elevator, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. It was spacious and had a simple river view. The hotel signs the names of guests arriving at the door, which was a great experience from the start. They check in their slippers upon arrival, so you need to use them. There's free-flowing drinks and a variety of flavored liquors, and free cold drinks are available outside the public bathrooms. We booked a two-meal package, which includes two time slots for dining, which is recommended, as many restaurants in Hakone close around 5 PM, making it difficult to find food, except for 7-Eleven and Lawson. Once you reserve a table for dinner, you'll also have breakfast the next day, so you don't have to worry about repeating meals if you stay multiple nights. They also offer different dining options based on the length of your stay. Dinner includes a 75-minute all-you-can-drink offer, which is quite impressive. The hotel provides special bathrobes, but the straps are stored in a basket in the room. The towels in the basket are for guests to use in the public hot springs. Since the hot springs are recreated from the Edo period, they're quite basic. There's no shower head, so you have to scoop water to shower, as the tap below only dispenses cold water. If you're using an indoor hot spring, you can skip it. For transportation, if you're arriving at Hakone-Yumoto Station, exit the station and cross the overpass to take the mountain bus from the opposite stop. If you're arriving at Kamito-no-Sawa Station, it's about three stops. Remember to ring the doorbell before arriving, otherwise the bus won't stop unless someone else gets on. Whether you're using a card or a pass, you need to swipe or present your pass when you get on board and swipe or present it again when you get off. Remember, the Izu Bus does not accept passes. Because the mountain roads are rugged and difficult to walk, it's best to take a bus rather than hike. Remember to take a photo of the departure time to avoid missing the bus or waiting too long. In addition to most of the tourist attractions, the most lively places in Hakone are the shops in the hot spring town outside Hakone Yumoto Station. Most of them close at 5 pm, so if you need to go shopping, remember to go early.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent being 2mins from Gora-Eli station. It is surrounded by private onsens and even some good restaurants. It’s a below average guest house without any lift or elevator. 2 flight of steps to the front desk and men’s and family rooms, 1 flight of steps to the ladies. It warrants a lot of work on cleanliness service and amenities to grow its image. The only saving grace is its excellent location next to Gora station and the ropeway/cablecar bringing you to Lake Ashi, Owakudani and many places of interest..

AAnonymous UserA comfortable experience overall. The room was a bit old, the onsen (hot spring) a bit small, and the seafood dinner was a little disappointing. But for this price and time, a one-night stay with two meals in Hakone is perfectly acceptable.

EErick858Nestled in a peaceful corner of Mt. Hakone, yet conveniently connected by bus, only a 5-10 mins walk. This charming little hotel offered an unforgettable immersion into Japanese culture, complete with tatami-matted floor, soft futon bedding and soothing onsen. With it's effortless check in and out, it's perfect for travelers seeking tranquility and authenticity without sacrificing to much convenience. Pros: If you plan to visit the Hakone pirate ship and the Hakone ropeway at Togendai, it will give you an early start because it's only 11 minutes by bus. Con: To get to the hotel you will need to go up a little hill, not too hard, but if you have a lot of luggage it could be a bit of a challenge (But it's an easy walk back to the bus stop) Be mindful of the bus time getting to the hotel as the bus tends to end around 5:00 p.m. Also, there aren't any places to eat near the hotel, so you may need to take food with you, order breakfast with the hotel or buy some snacks and instant noodles from the hotel shop.

CCCaccaIt is an old house, a restaurant on the first floor, a kitchen on the second floor, three bedrooms, a dry and wet separation bathroom, a toilet, five minutes walk from Yumoto Station, 711, lawson are very close, self-service check-in is super convenient, that is, the room is cold, the bedroom can be very warm, the bathroom is very cold, Next to the mountaineering line, you can see this homestay when you take the morning ride. In addition, the surrounding restaurants have a short business hours. If you can't arrive early, you can go to the supermarket to buy fast food. It is also delicious.

GGuest UserJapanese family hotel. Sleep on tatami. The problem is that the toilet is inconvenient downstairs. Sound insulation is too poor. I was disturbed by a group of Japanese people next door and couldn't sleep well. I won’t stay again without contacting you.
