GGuest UserThe hotel's food is really delicious. We ate dinner, breakfast and lunch in the hotel and were very satisfied. The cost-effectiveness of the food is definitely much better than that in Shanghai!

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Both breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious, even better than most 'one-night, two-meals' packages I've had in Japan. While the public bath isn't huge, it's rarely crowded, so you can often have it all to yourself. The private open-air bath on the rooftop is also definitely worth trying!

AANASTASIIA_BERDNIKOVAThis hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

LLuancuandemaomiThis is an older hotel in Hakone. It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday. The room was a bit small, but it was a lake view room with a nice view. It included breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, I chose the French set menu, which was delicious. For dinner, I opted for the Japanese set menu, and it was pretty good. The portions were a bit smaller compared to other kaiseki meals I've had, but thankfully there was rice. The hotel's surroundings are lovely. The garden would probably be beautiful when the flowers are in bloom, but right now it perfectly embodies the starkness of winter. There's a free shuttle bus from Moto-Hakone Port. Make sure to check the schedule; the last one in the afternoon is at 5:10 PM. If you miss it, you'll have to walk, but it's not too far. The hotel has hot springs, and it felt like I had the whole place to myself when I went.

Kkifteh97Beautiful hotel with a really large, clean and comfortable room. Appreciated the complimentary drinks in the room, and at the foyer (in the morning) and bar (during happy hour). Lovely view of Mt Fuji across the lake as well, worth every penny. Unfortunately Mt Fuji was covered by clouds for most of our trip, but the only time we were able to see it mostly in full was at the hotel. Onsen experience was also great; while it was a public onsen, other guests did not really use it, which was a real shame as there was a jacuzzi and outdoor onsen inside. Only downside was the central air conditioning which made the room feel a bit too warm after coming back from the onsen, but otherwise still a comfortable stay.

WWendaoA wonderful experience at Asante Inn in Hakone This stay at Asante Inn in Hakone was full of surprises! The Japanese-style garden is full of Japanese Zen, and it is super beautiful to take pictures. The owner is enthusiastic and fluent in English. The African artworks in the store are unique and come from his African experience. The stories are super interesting. Staying in dorm, you will meet travelers from all over the world. The atmosphere is good, and the price is 1200 yen per night, which is very cost-effective. Breakfast and dinner are about 1200 yen, and they are delicious and authentic. You can also make an appointment for private time to soak in the hot springs, which is private and comfortable. There is also a luggage transportation service at Yumoto Station, which is super considerate. I sincerely recommend coming here to experience a different Hakone trip!

SSudlrmanThe entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. The front desk staff can speak English and explained everything clearly, from the type of onsen, the bathing hours, meals, and how to get to our rooms (it was in a separate building). The onsen are great, the outdoor private bathtub is great, but the water cools off pretty quickly in winter. The room is very spacious and they also provide an extra futon. I could do a bit of work comfortably in the rooms while resting. They have a bunch of amenities at the lobby, you could make tea, coffee, get some ice cream and bring them to your rooms. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious. You need reservations for meals since the seats are limited.

GGuest UserStayed in Hakone area for one night, enjoying the quiet life in nature. The single room I booked was big enough for one bed, and it was very convenient to wash and eat. The price was acceptable.

GGuest UserWhen looking for a hotel in Hakone, I valued the hot springs. After all, it was my first time to bring my children here, and I hoped to have a brand new experience. I looked at many hotels on Ctrip, and finally I gritted my teeth and decided on Xianjing, which had an open-air hot spring and tatami-style beds. 1. Address: It takes a long way to get off the tram, but there are many small spots along the way. The scenery on the uphill road is also good, so we walked and stopped and walked quickly. 2. Hotel reception: When checking in, there was a Japanese gentleman who could speak simple English. Because we arrived early, we checked in and stored our luggage first, and asked us about the time to lay the tatami and the breakfast time for the next day. I wanted to book dinner, but was told that it was too late that day. When we returned to the hotel, a Chinese lady greeted us. She was very enthusiastic. Not only did she bring a small toiletries set for my brother, but she also went to the room to introduce the location of the open-air hot spring, the usage time, and the operation of the electrical appliances in the room in detail. 3. Room: The tatami bed is a typical traditional Japanese style. There is a heated table inside, which is also the kind commonly used by Japanese families. It is very comfortable to put your legs inside. Sleeping on the tatami is quite warm and not hard at all. The bathroom and toilet are separated into wet and dry areas, and are clean. The only drawback is that the air conditioning is not powerful. Even if it is turned on to 30 degrees, the room is still cold. I saw another comment before, which also said that it is cold in winter. 4. Soup: There are two types of open-air soup and indoor soup. There is only one open-air soup, which requires men and women to have separate time periods; the indoor soup is for men and women alone and can be used at any time. Both soups are **, typical Japanese style. The open-air soup is not big, the temperature is suitable, and it is very quiet. I originally wanted to go again the next morning, but found that the morning time period is for men, which is not a good combination (because the last time period the night before was also for men). I didn't try the indoor soup, which is a little regretful. 5 Breakfast: Breakfast is in the small restaurant at the door. It is set, one serving per person, with a combination of meat and vegetables. It is quite standard. The children are not used to the cold egg, but everything else is OK 6. Finally, let's talk about the price: 2600+ a night, which is really not cheap. It should be a holiday + I booked the hotel late, so I will feel the pain first, and I must book early in the future.

GGregorio GastaldiA very pleasant visit to kind, simple and peaceful people. I like a lot the location of the homestay, out of the center, up hill, need to move your ass to reach it. The hottest onsen I’ve been haha but also the most comfy as it’s private. I miss Rum already, what a nice dog, same as all the staff. A really worthy stop in Hakone with local people who feel real in an area full of tourism. Thanks a lot for taking care of my bags after my check in, those gestures are the ones that really count!
