This hotel is suitable for an overnight stay if you're catching an early flight after a Kinabatangan River cruise. The room was a bit dark, but everything else was fine. It has a cabin-style vibe with a small garden and a tiny pool. As for breakfast, it's just like a standard budget hotel breakfast, so don't expect too much. The staff were very enthusiastic. The nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) is very close and worth a visit, and you can also book a night tour there. As for the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, honestly, only go if you're really bored and have money to spare! Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) really misleads people; anyone who goes will regret it. Once you've been, you'll truly understand the quality of the zoos back home. The Sun Bear Centre just cages a few bears. The orangutan centre is no different: everyone sits in a glass enclosure watching a group of monkeys (not orangutans!) eat bananas and vegetables on an outdoor platform – basically watching them ”mukbang.” Then you watch a few orangutans ”mukbang” on another open-air platform. We couldn't bear to watch it. After seeing how wild animals live on the Kinabatangan River, these scenes were just unbearable.

It's not far from RDC and the Orangutan Conservation Center. The sanitation is good, the environment is nice and quiet, and the front desk service is good. One thing to note is that it's not so easy to get a taxi from there to the city. I waited for 20 minutes before I got one.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay!

Very disappointed in this hotel considering the price. It’s a fair bit away from the main part of Sandakan (long walk or taxi) and there was no wifi signal in our room. The rooms smelt damp was big, but the lighting was so dim it still felt like a small space. The shower was hot, which was something we found to be not guaranteed on our visit to Malaysia.

The hotel room is enough for spending the night and unwinding after a long day exploring the national parks. You gotta turn on the water heater in order to get good water pressure and hot water, something I didn’t know at first. The staff are friendly and the hotel is well located. It’s closed to the sea and located in the center of Sandakan. There are many restaurants around and lovely quirky streets. A restaurant I would recommend is Balin. It’s a fusion restaurant that serves delicious cocktails and offers ocean views, making it a perfect spot to catch the sunset over a delicious meal.

Clean hotel. Comfortable. Close to restaurants, so it's easy to find food. Mydin is only about 3-4km away.

Book for business trip & it's just a short stay. For me, not the best place for vacation. Got club nearby where the music can be loud. Room is quite clean and spacious The staff quite helpful

Good location, much better prices if you book in person but for high season better to book beforehand. Quiet if facing the back.

Location is strategic but this hotel neglected the umph factor but stayable. Rest room needs to be upgraded. Overall the hotel is clean. Just 2 star hotel men. Towels are 5 star grade.

This hotel is located at almost the outskirts of town and very convenient if u wanna go anywhere to eat. No snacks or drinks like coffee or tea inside the room, gotta buy it downstairs But the best thing about this old hotel was the stairs, classic style.
