Great
CCinderbellaThe location is perfect for families traveling with a lot of luggage since it’s literally right next to the central station — super convenient! But just a little heads-up: the hotel is also quite close to some bars, so at night there can be a lot of drunk people around. It was generally safe, but there was one night when me and my fams went out to buy water and as we were heading back into the hotel, some drunk people started shouting at us and asking for a lighter. 😅
In summary the hotel itself was really good overall! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
GGuest UserExcellent experience overall. Hotel centrally located and well maintained but above all quiet. After a good nights sleep, the day starts with a very good all you can eat breakfast. Staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend this establishment.
MMinimeet2233Great location, super close to city centre and very convenient. Staff members are always helpful and super friendly. On my final night there was a storm in Scotland and staff was super helpful with trying to see if they can book me for one extra night just in case if trains don’t run the next day :) really happy with the service. Breakfast has good selection!
Room is okay, the AC seemed a bit old and broken but still works, temperature in the room is fine!
AAnonymous UserI liked the room which was very spacious, clean and the bed comfortable.
The staff were nice and helpful.
The hotel is very well located.
I think the breakfast needs improvement but this is really the only small concern
MMira MasCould be better..we wish that the receiptionist have more knowledge on assisting customer regarding Glasgow activities and transport. Other than that everything better than our London stay..affordable stay but complete..just amenities we need to request
GGuest UserAs a solo traveler I got a bed in 8 mixed room, the price was affordable as i need a space just to sleep. The bathroom was clean, the room mates were respectful. The only problem was the common room( the hall ) it was closed most of the times, either for cleaning or for activity from 3rd party , which I accept that and I don’t mind it at all, but some people does. Overall I love it and I’ll do it again
AAnonymous UserFriendly receptionists, booked the room pretty last minute and got a free room upgrade. The room had the bare minimum of what you would expect to have, location wise, it is right above the Charing Cross station, but it’s a pretty far walk from the main area
AAndrew SearA comfortable hotel and good value for money.
However finding it was an unexpected challenge. Walking from Hyndland station what appeared to be the hotel appeared as I passed the hospital on the left. But where was the entrance? No signs along the footpath, so turned left onto Great Western Road to arrive at a petrol station. I could see the Leonardo , but again no entrance and no obvious way to find one. So, off I set back to the road where the hospital was located. I could see the hotel but no sign of any reception. Eventually I walked round the back and found my way in. Only the following morning did I discover that there was a pedestrian cut through to the petrol station
I've been to many hotels in my 73 years, but this one went out of it's way to play hard to find.
Maybe the owners assume everyone will arrive car and their satnav will guide them .
My advice to the owners. Put some signs up
GGuest UserVery small but clean room. Just enough for sleeping. Could do with an extra chest of drawers or small table.
No kettle in the rooms is a little disappointing.
GGuest UserGreat location. Stayed here before. Staff are friendly but it's really let down in other areas.
Our room was filthy. Bed was fresh but the desk was sticky, carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered in weeks and when I went to plug in my phone beside the bed there was the remains of someone's peperami snack lying on the floor.
Bathroom had a brown poo mark on the loo seat (which we cleaned!) And the loo floor was covered in long black hairs. I am platinum blonde and my friend has long dyed red hair... We told reception who offered to comp us breakfast but we had already paid for it so they just took the feedback.
We asked for an iron and ironing board, and they were really pitiful appliances. They could do with an upgrade for sure.
Oh and during breakfast the coffee machine was fully broken and was being taken apart...
