Great location close to Buchanan St shops and train station. Room was a bit small for the 2 double beds. But we opted to change to a double and single bed to allow for our luggages and that was fine.

Guest UserThe hotel is very close to SEC and right next to Exhibition Station, making it super convenient to take the train to Edinburgh and Ayr. The breakfast selection is great, with a good variety of vegetables and fruits (which is rare to find), many types of coffee, delicious juices, and a wide assortment of bread. The room was cleaned daily and kept very neat and tidy. You can even see the University of Glasgow right outside the window.

Anonymous UserStayed here for one night and had a great experience. The hotel is in a perfect location, just a few minutes’ walk from Glasgow Central Station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city.
The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the station. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and check-in was quick and easy.
I only stayed for a short time, but everything was exactly what I needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow.

Kazzam76Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly and car parking just down the road was no trouble for us at all. The room was spacious and modern. The breakfast was delicious and we would definitely stay here again.

Aleksandra.RLovely hotel with very friendly staff. We were welcomed and the girl at the reception provided all the necessary details regarding breakfast, amenities and how to reach out if any support is needed.
The only drawback was a broken shower door, which was not closing properly. But it's such a small thing that didn't really impact the overall stay. The room was immaculately clean and neat.

Guest UserWas at the Hilton for the first time. It is just a basic hotel. Nothing great or opulent about the experience. We had morning breakfast buffet, it had some great spread and value for money.

Guest UserThe Marriott Hotel has updated the rooms to a good standard.
However the bathroom has not been updated and was very poor with various areas dirty. (See photos). Also the shower screen did not close meaning lots of water was spilled onto the floor when taking a shower.
One of the bath towels in the room had a hole in it.
Other small things were that there is only one chair in the room meaning my wife had to sit on the bed.
Also only one tea spoon in the room.
This is not what I would expect from a Marriott Hotel!

Hampton by Hilton, Glasgow Central is located on West Campbell Street and this truly is right in the heart of the city centre!
Located just around the corner from the bustling shopping street of Sauchiehall Street, you’ve got everything you need at your disposal within walking distance of this hotel! Even Glasgow’s Central station is just a short 10 minute walk away - ideal if you’re coming in from another such as Liverpool like I was!
A double room in this hotel is a fair size. To maximise on the space, Hampton by Hilton have removed wardrobes and cupboards and have replaced them with walk-in spaces. It works - the L shaped room can feel a little cosy at first, but once you’ve passed through the corridor, the main area where the bed and TV is feels quite spacious.
The breakfast provided - which is free for all guests - is to a great standard. Make sure you try out the fresh waffles which come as standard in Hampton by Hilton hotels. The breakfast area isn’t huge though, so if you come around 8.30/9am, space might be limited!
There’s also a fitness suite in the hotel which has a good range of equipment available. No windows in there though!
Some areas for improvement - the room could do with a bit of refurbishment as the furniture is looking quite tired in parts and there are a lot of scratches and dirty marks on the walls. The room is very functional rather than a luxurious stay. Having said that, Hampton by Hilton is not marketing itself as a luxury brand. It’s firmly in the budget hotel bracket, probably at a similar standard to Premier Inn - which certainly isn’t a bad thing!
Another thing to note - if you stay here during the weekend, it could be noisy. There are three nightclubs right near the hotel and on a Saturday night, the noise didn’t stop until 2.30am and this meant we didn’t get much sleep one night. However, the staff were very helpful when we flagged it with them the next morning and gave a credit for a free night’s stay at any Hampton by Hilton!
All in all, this hotel is a good base to stay whilst exploring Glasgow. It’s functional, it does the job and you’re going to be well fed during breakfast. True, there are areas for improvement, but this shouldn’t impact your overall experience too much!

Only query I have is there is no staircase to the carpark and the sign postage of said carpark could be better! Otherwise lovely stay

I really couldn't fault this hotel for the price we paid. Every staff member we encountered were friendly, professional and very courteous.
The food at breakfast was very good with a choice of pastries, cereals, fruit and a good selection of hot buffet including good quality bacon and sausages, scrambled egg, beans, potato scone, and mushrooms. Tea or coffee and toast is served to you at your table.
The leisure facilities were a bonus with a good size pool, sauna and steam room. We didn't make use of the spa facilities but it looked like a very nice place to have a treatment.
The room itself was very spacious, comfortable bed and pillows and an amazing shower.
All in all we would definitely stay again and try other hotels in the Macdonald chain.
