3-Star Hotels in Matsuyama

這個民宿的空間很大！廚房洗衣機設施樣樣齊全！我們買了愛媛黑毛A5和牛回來煮！那個油花簡直美出太空！人生第一次吃牛肉的感覺！可能是我淺薄了吧…但真的非常好吃好吃好吃！民宿位置比較偏，來回路程比較遠，但還是能步行的距離，離主要的景區也不太算遠吧，比較我們有運動的習慣！松山城真的非常壯觀！風景超美！松山的鯛魚飯真的太驚艷我了，連續2天都在吃！道後温泉區是遊客區，商業街繁多，商業太濃厚了我不喜歡，反而那個免費泡腳的非常舒服，泡了兩回，第一回發現泡完的腳居然非常光滑！接着回來又泡一頓！哇哇哇！連腳死皮角質層都給泡軟化掉，平時在國內老塗護膚品都不行還需要掛掉死皮，在那裡神奇的被泡消失掉…這是什麼神仙水啊？？？我由於生理期所以沒有在道後温泉泡温泉，泡了腳！非常完美的旅程！

When you get to Dogo Onsen Station, just walk along this covered street, but you have to go up a hillside! Walking along the main road, there is a small road on a large slope. The room, large bath, and breakfast are all good!

Attention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak.  Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.

I stayed here on a solo trip. I felt that the rooms were very clean, compared to other local business hotels. The bath, toilet and sink were also very clean! The hotel is also located right in front of the JR station and the tram stop. The photo was taken from the hotel looking at Matsuyama Station. Dogo Onsen, Okaido and Matsuyama Castle are all easily accessible from the tram stop right in front of the hotel. Bicycles were available for free rental.

They treat Western guests with far more enthusiasm. When checking in alongside Western guests, the front desk staff only escorted them to their floor, completely ignoring Asian guests like me. It's 2026, and this kind of preferential treatment for Westerners is so out of touch and frankly, a bit embarrassing. On top of that, the duvet cover was torn. Is the hotel really struggling that much? 😓 I'm staying here for three nights purely because I can't be bothered to switch hotels. Matsuyama Castle is quite nice, though. As an established hotel in Matsuyama, I'd hope for a bit more class and professionalism. Also, the room is a bit cramped; it's difficult to open a 30-inch suitcase.

Although the price is cheap, considering the guest room, the facilities are not very good. There are no individual lockers to put the suitcase, and you can't put the curtains on the individual bed and turn on the lights. The location is good and the facilities are clean.

It was nice that the inside of the building had a white-based atmosphere and was clean. At check-in, I was recommended to take a ticket for a nearby hot spring facility, but I decided to use the bath in the room. The bathtub was deep and the bathroom itself was able to relax with a size that could not be considered in other hotels. The room was also large and comfortable! The wind was strong when checking out, so the front desk was worried about the wind and the response was nice

初めての松山・道後温泉で地理的にも初めてでしたので夜到着して行こうとしたら場所がわからないしサーチしても 道後温泉とは全く別の地域を表示するので到着時大きな障害となりました。　初めての場所で道後温泉にはいるのが 目的で近場を選んだつもりが到着に全く別の場所が表示された時にはかなりパニックになりましたが、どうごやに電話で 連絡をしたら大変に親切に対応してもらい、パニックも落ち着き無事にいけましたし大変にお世話になりました。 このどうごやは趣のある隠し宿で、立地もよく道後温泉から歩いて５分くらいの場所にあり便利な立地にあります。 家族ずれ（特に小さい子供連れ）は絶対ご推奨しません。　 松山にまた行く時は、　どうごやに宿泊します（次回は迷子にならずに行けます）その時はよろしくお願いします。 宿のご主人にお世話になったのに、夜到着で早朝出発したのでお礼を申しあがれなくて、申し訳ありませんでした。

The hotel is conveniently located at the foot of Matsuyama Castle Park. From the hotel, a convenient mountain path (walk left for a few hundred meters, then turn left again) offers a direct, pleasant 20-minute uphill walk to Matsuyama Castle, sparing you the ropeway trip. To reach the hotel from JR Matsuyama Station, take the Iyo Railway Loop Line (tram) from the front of the station (to your left after exiting) for 7 stops and alight at Shimizu-cho Station. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the station, across the street from the platform, and you can clearly see Matsuyama Castle Park from there. While the hotel's facilities are a bit dated, they are clean and well-maintained. A great perk is the complimentary hot spring bath (onsen) available in the evening. Please note, the onsen is not in the annex building; guests need to exit the hotel and walk a short distance (a few dozen meters) to the right to the main building to access it. After a day of traveling, soaking in the hot spring is definitely a rewarding experience. Breakfast is not included with the stay, but vouchers can be purchased at the front desk for 1000 JPY per person. Like the onsen, breakfast is served in the main building. It's a Japanese-style breakfast with a decent variety and offers good value for the price.

If you're a foreigner you might have some troubles communicating but the staffs will do their best so no worries. The hotel is a bit on the old side but overall still great. If you bring a car then parking is next to the hotel at 900 yen per night.
