3-Star Hotels in Miyakojima

I'll probably never forget that night. I'm a 20-year-old girl, and this was my first solo trip. It was the off-season when I went, and although I booked a dorm room, I was the only one there. The place was run by a mother and her two daughters. The staff at check-in were very welcoming. It just so happened that it was a rare sunny day, and the staff invited me to go stargazing with them that evening. That night, the five of us (plus a Korean guy who was also solo) went together. We drove to a very secluded spot on the island. It was the first time I'd ever seen so many stars; the entire sky was filled with them, densely packed. I was so amazed, it felt like a dream. I grew up in a city in Jiangsu and had never seen so many stars before, nor did I know fireflies could fly so high. I felt incredibly happy and lucky. I regret not being able to say a proper goodbye when I left. (Actually, the hotel was very new and clean. I feel the seller's photos don't do it justice… there was no odor, and the shared bathrooms and showers were very clean. It's very close to the beach; a beautiful beach is just a ten-minute walk away.)

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was very convenient, and the accommodation itself was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated having the ability to cook our own meals, which made everything feel more relaxed and home-like. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we had a truly great stay

The hotel is in a good location to explore several regions of the island. Coffee is great and the breakfast options were worth it. The room is spacious and very quiet. The team was friendly and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The car we rented broke and they even helped us get the car working again. I took a taxi from the airport. The Smile Hotel was so well-known that even the driver knew about it. There are no photos of the hotel interior. Located in the bar district, it's convenient for arriving in the evening, allowing you to enjoy Okinawan cuisine and leave your luggage there. The PIN code is provided in advance, allowing you to open and close the door.

I used it for diving. The washing machine was helpful, but I wish there was a facility to dry on the veranda.

The transportation is convenient, there is a bus to and from the airport nearby. There is a whole family within a 3-minute walk. There are many small shops to eat next to. There is a supermarket 10 minutes' walk away, with sashimi and cooked food abundant and cheap. As a chain hotel, the facilities are excellent. For diving enthusiasts, there is a washing area, and the cleaning of wet clothes and equipment is very convenient.

The hotel has a great view, and it was convenient to have so many restaurants nearby that were open even in the evening! It was also a nice bonus that we could use facilities from their sister properties!

The bathroom and sink area were separate, so it wasn't inconvenient even when used by a family. Amenities were well-provided, and the bathtub was great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. In particular, the fully equipped kitchen allowed for simple cooking and breakfast preparation, and the presence of a washing machine made it very convenient for a long-term stay. Being able to wash swimwear or clothes immediately during the trip was a major advantage. The refrigerator, microwave, and tableware were neatly organized, making it feel as comfortable as a small apartment. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation that feels ”as comfortable as home.”

また次回も機会があればぜひ泊まりたいと思えるホテルでした。 24時間で出入り自由ですし、部屋に冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、電気ケトル、ヘアドライヤー、歯ブラシなどのアメニティも充実していて、とても充実した滞在になりました！ お風呂もバスタブがついてるので 入りたければお湯をためることも可能でした。 唯一、机だけもう少し広い方が助かるかなという感じでした。(部屋で食事をしていたので) 私自身は違いますが、喫煙者の方がいらっしゃれば部屋で喫煙も可能だったかと思います。(1階に貸し出し用灰皿があったので) 場所は空港からは割と近めで徒歩でも行ける距離でした。近くにはスーパー、コンビニもあり、飲食店もちらほらありました。市街中心の一番栄えてるエリアへは少し移動が必要ですが車であれば5分もないほどで行けます。 一つだけ、受付が基本は15:00〜しか空いていないので時間外に用がある場合は連絡が必要でした。 早朝や夜遅めの便で来られる方で、用がある方はあらかじめ連絡しておくと時間のロスがないかと思います。

Having stayed in both a Japanese-style room without a private bathroom and a new wing room with a private bathroom, I felt there wasn't much difference. Going to the public bath for washing up was actually quite convenient. Like I said, lower your expectations.
