"Of the seven ocean-view hotels I've stayed at in Okinawa, this one boasts the most beautiful and bluest waters (all photos were taken with my phone without any filters). I was immediately struck by the stunning ocean view upon entering the room. The hotel has two convenience stores and souvenir shops, as well as a self-service coin-operated laundry room, providing a one-stop solution for all your needs. There are also glass-bottom boats available for convenient use within the hotel. The hotel consists of two buildings, an older and a newer one. The Ocean Wing is the older building, with slightly outdated facilities, but it's still well-maintained. However, the ocean view is closer and more direct. The Coral Wing is the newer building, a bit further from the beach than the Ocean Wing (not by much, but the ocean view is slightly less impressive). I stayed in the Ocean Wing. However, perhaps because it's the older building, the Wi-Fi signal was extremely poor, often only one or two bars, and sometimes even when it showed a connection, the network wasn't actually working and frequently dropped. For some reason, the toilet in my room always made the sound of running water every ten minutes or so, which could be annoying and disruptive to sleep for those with sensitive nerves. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my room or the overall plumbing system."

"Our stay at VILLABU Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. A special shoutout to Watanabe, who was truly amazing. His kindness and knowledge of the island were invaluable as he took us on a personalized tour of some hidden gems. While the team may not be fluent in English, their genuine efforts to communicate and assist made us feel welcome and appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the chef's skill in accommodating our halal dietary needs was truly impressive."

"The overall value for money is good, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows are a plus. Everything else is pretty average. One major issue with the service was the hotel's booking of a snorkeling spot at Yae Mikase, but the weather was bad that day and we were moved to a spot near Irabu. In the end, the price remained the same, and when I asked, they said it was the same price. A bad review!"

"My 3-night, 4-day stay in Miyakojima felt like breathing with the sea. As soon as I opened the door to my ocean view room, the cobalt blue ocean stretching out before me heralded the start of my trip. Each morning, the gentle lapping of the waves, along with the sunlight streaming through the curtains, woke me up. Sinking into the plush bed, the fatigue from my long journey instantly melted away. The meticulously clean space felt as comfortable as home, yet still offered that sophisticated hotel ambiance. The breakfast, brimming with fresh fruits and Okinawan dishes, was a fantastic way to energize for the day, and enjoying a cocktail at the restaurant in the evening while watching the sea turn crimson felt straight out of a movie scene. The rooftop bar and infinity pool were definitely the highlights of this trip; watching the sun set over the horizon from the water was an indescribably enchanting experience. Thanks to the warm smiles and thoughtful consideration of the staff, I didn't experience any inconvenience during my stay. Renting a bike and cycling along the coastal road, feeling the wind and the sound of the waves up close, also became an unforgettable memory. After exploring the island all day, sitting by the window in my room, gazing at the sea, all the fatigue of the journey vanished, leaving only pure tranquility. Looking back, it was a special retreat spent with the ocean. If I ever visit Miyakojima again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this place."

"Stay at the main building!! They have a little beach at the back and a shuttle bus that goes around the whole resort area, there’s also a shuttle bus you can take from the airport to the hotel! And there’s a little store downstairs for you to get your necessities if you need any!"

"The staff were all friendly. On the day of check-in, a Korean staff member was there, and I felt comfortable with the assistance. I chose this accommodation to use the small pool, but I didn't end up using it. 🤣 While it's a value-for-money accommodation, the facilities aren't exactly "value-for-money." I think the reason it's not overly expensive is because the ocean view isn't the beach, but the harbor view, with docked ships visible. I stayed in a single room with a single bed, but the ceiling height wasn't low, so it didn't feel cramped and felt open. The art wall wasn't your typical cheap art wall; it had framed artwork reminiscent of the surrounding beach. Most of the furniture was wooden, and the wall storage in the small space allowed me to easily spread out my carry-on luggage on the floor. However, the room key isn't a card-type, but a key, which requires some skill. 🤣 The location is also very convenient. A short walk on either side of the accommodation brings you to small restaurants, the beach, and a Family Mart. The larger roads are a bit of a walk into the island. If the weather had been better, I could have walked more, but that's a shame. I also recommend this place to anyone looking to join a Yabiji tour with a tour company. The meeting point for the tour company I used was near the accommodation. You can purchase small souvenirs at the front desk, and you can rent snorkeling gear. Breakfast is served in the small restaurant on site."

"The facilities and service were very good. I booked a pool villa on the first day, and sent an email to the hotel in advance to ask if the pool villa's water was hot water since the weather during my visit was around 20 degrees. I received a reply email saying that it was standard temperature, so I thought it was to maintain a constant temperature, but it did not provide hot water, and the water temperature was based on the current temperature. If they had given me an accurate answer that hot water was not provided, I would have booked a regular room from the first day. I regret that I ended up using the pool villa because of the mistake in the reply, even though I did not have to use it."

"Probably one of the better hotels on this island, as the island itself is quite simple and plain. Though it is a close 5 min taxi ride from Shimojishima airport, costs 900-1000 yen. If you’re not driving, you can ask the hotel to book taxis for you in advance. The view from the room was great, you can see 17End in the distance, nothing blocking your view of the ocean and all its glory, basically all rooms have the same view since it’s a “one-sided” hotel. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, but it did the job. Free coffee basically all day."
