"My return flight was cancelled due to the typhoon, so I had to extend my stay. I quickly searched for hotels using several apps and found this hotel, which is relatively close to Miyako Airport and Don Quijote. I was also able to book it at a great price thanks to a first-time user coupon! Check-in is from 3 pm, but they let me into my room much earlier because of the typhoon! Parking is free and you can park wherever you like, and there's a FamilyMart next door. It's like an apartment building, so you can come and go as you please. To check out, you just put the key in the mailbox. The room was also clean and there were no problems. The only downside was that there was no laundry."

"I was very pleased with the friendly service at check-in and check-out! It was close to the beach, so I could walk to snorkeling. While it wasn't a busy area, there were plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, so I had no issues during my stay. The room was in decent condition. There was a separate laundry room and I could pay via app, which was very convenient. I also liked that they provided free ice! I didn't go in the pool, but it looked fun with the exciting music and lights! Thanks to them, I had a great trip!!"

"The location is a bit out of the way, but overall, I'm satisfied. Laundry is coin-operated, and detergent is purchased at the counter. Breakfast is good. Parking: There are several hotel entrances, and the outdoor parking lot is on the right side of the main entrance. There's also a parking lot across the street, up the hill. The paid parking lot on the left across the street isn't the hotel parking lot."

Shigira Bayside Suite Allamanda
"The room was large with a small pool. However, privacy was limited, as there were views from upstairs to downstairs. Be dressed appropriately for the balcony. Perhaps due to the off-season, reservations were required for meals; we didn't know this on the first day and had the front desk make a reservation at the hotel restaurant. There were no supermarkets nearby, so you couldn't buy anything. Of the ten restaurants outside, only one or two were open in the evenings; it's best to take a taxi to the city center for meals. The hotel has sea turtles to feed and a shuttle bus. However, there's no beach nearby; you can only take the shuttle to a very small beach. If you enjoy snorkeling, you'll need to take a taxi to a relatively far spot. The breakfast was quite plentiful, but it definitely wouldn't suit a Chinese palate. It was filling, with a wide variety of choices, but the fruit wasn't very fresh."

"When booking, I didn't realize that Shigira Mirage has two sides: Bayside and Beachfront. Upon arrival, I noticed the Beachfront is closer to the beach and should have a better view; I might try it next time. The room was spacious and clean, the mini-bar had Orion beer, and the jacuzzi on the balcony was very comfortable. The service was good, and the airport shuttle to the hotel was a convenience. The breakfast selection was both Western and Japanese, and another plus was the abundance of restaurants and activities throughout the resort. I tried the grilled meat at the Ryugong Garden, which was quite good, and the single-person set meal at Turtle Bay was also nice. The paella and seafood platter at à la carte were a bit disappointing. I saw many people snorkeling and playing golf; those who enjoy sports should definitely like staying here."

"This was my second stay in 2020. I was able to fully enjoy Miyakojima in the off-season. Thank you to all the staff. One thing that bothered me was that the pescatore I ordered at the restaurant didn't taste like seafood stock at all, and it felt like seafood was on top of tomato pasta."

"This hotel just opened at the end of April, and the lobby and rooms have a strong smell of new renovations. I strongly advise against staying here anytime soon. The courtyard in front of the balcony is still under construction, and the air conditioner unit is right on the balcony. It's rare to see a 5-star hotel like this. The hotel service was very good."

"The amenities are complete and the service is top notch. There are plenty of towels, so you don't have to worry about drying them. The Orion beer in the fridge also helped me relax when I arrived. Tableware, spoons, and forks are provided, so you can take out food or buy some to bring back and relax at the inn. When I went outside, I could see a starry sky. The room was spacious, with two bedrooms, and the beds were comfortable no matter where I slept. The inn was very spacious and I was able to relax."

"We stayed at Hotel Shigira Mirage Beachfront, which is newly opened in February 2024. As the name suggests, it is located right in front of Shigira Beach, and from the rooms on the east side, you can see the coastline from Shigira Beach all the way to Cape Higashi-Hennazaki and the Pacific Ocean. Our suite-type room was a two-bedroom unit, and the tables and sofas in the living room and dining room were all Cassina products. I think this is the perfect resort for Miyakojima fans."
