Service:
- The hotel owner himself picked me up and dropped me off at the local Hengshan West high speed rail station.
- The owner was very friendly and invited me to try some extremely high end tea. As I was a solo traveller, he also invited me to eat with him - trying some local dishes and sharing a few beers after.
- The owner offered to do a guided tour of some local attractions.
- The service is very personalised as there are only 12 rooms, with the owner himself personally serving guests and explaining the history of the local area.

Property:
- The construction is extremely high quality, with Tang-style aesthetic in the rooms, but a modern, western style common area and cafe. Having visited many boutique hotels in more remote areas, emphasis must be placed on the materials, polish and finish - giving a very sleek feel.
- There is a good balance of water features, with a fishpond where you can feed fish.
- The valley facing rooms have very good framing of the scenery including river and mountains in differing depth peripherals.
- The layout, location and surrounding mountainside adds a strong sense of privacy compared to the city.

- The rooms have high-end Toto bidet toilets.
- Rooms are very clean.
- The front-desk has different scented candles that can be used in your room.
- The furniture and amenities within the room are all brand new and at or above the standard as every 5-star city hotel.

Food:
- The owner kindly covered all 3 meals, of which lunch and dinner were more local, as I was joined by the owner and some staff. All meals are a-la-carte made to order by an in-house chef.
- The beef rice noodles with soup was an exceptional breakfast, especially for me who cannot eat very spicy food. (The local cuisine is generally very spicy preference.)
- You can pick fresh oranges in the orchard immediately adjacent to the hotel.

Local Area:
- The local area is not as popular for tourism as compared to places like the nearby Zhangjiajie Avatar Mountains. Many attractions are mainly Buddhism related such as temples or a purported 1000 year old Gingko Tree.
- The local Mount Heng can be hiked in under 4 hours.
- The local city is small and the hotel location is somewhat far from the city centre.

Overall this hotel provides a very tranquil environment to meditate and destress over tea, while looking at beautiful scenery. For the price point given, it offers a much better value compared to attempting to get the same conditions in the more popular, crowded scenic areas nearby.
If visiting the local city or adjacent Hengyang, this hotel is by far the most unique experience, as almost all other high end hotels are just the high-rise business hotel type.

GGuest UserAs soon as I stepped into the lobby, the staff greeted me warmly, their smiles like the warm spring sun. When I checked in, I was served tea. The brewed monk fruit tea was very strong and warm, and the kumquat lemonade was also very fragrant. The front desk lady also asked if I was on a business trip or traveling, and recommended delicious and fun things to do nearby. The service was very thoughtful and meticulous. There is also free laundry service, so you don’t have to do it yourself. The housekeeper will wash and dry it and bring it back. For the recent weather in Hengyang, this is really super convenient! The facilities and equipment are also very complete, and I like the decoration style very much. I will choose this place again if I have the chance to come to Hengyang next time.

GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel many times, and the experience has always exceeded my expectations. The assistant manager (Xiao Qing) is excellent at her job, extremely efficient, and makes me feel very welcome. Her attention to detail is commendable. I was particularly impressed by the shower room's ventilation vents and clotheslines for drying clothes. The shampoo and other products are of superior quality. The housekeeping staff are meticulous; they even carefully cleaned and tidied up my clothes that I left on the bed. The rooms are spacious, well-lit, and extremely clean, with surprisingly comfortable bedding. The hotel also provides a variety of complimentary drinks, such as mineral water, cold brew tea, and plum juice. Even more thoughtfully, they offer late-night snacks. The hotel's service is truly meticulous and attentive, leaving a lasting impression. I would definitely choose to stay here again.
In short, I've been extremely satisfied and comfortable with all the services at this hotel. It's a highly recommended and excellent hotel! Five stars!

LLUOxiaozhiHad a wonderful rest in the room. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic during check-in, introducing all the hotel's facilities. They even called in advance to ask about my room preferences. Every staff member I encountered in the hotel greeted me warmly. It's located near Nanhua University, and there's a snack street nearby. The room facilities were complete, the shower was a wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water. The soundproofing was good, and the TV screen was large and supported screen mirroring. Checking out and getting an invoice was also convenient and quick. I slept exceptionally well at night; the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I'll definitely consider Atour for my next stay! Highly recommend!

The hotel has a beautiful environment with a small grass in front of it, where you can take a walk and rest. The rooms are spacious and bright, warmly decorated, clean and tidy, well-equipped, and intelligent voice control makes life more convenient. The butler service is intimate, and Miss Shuyi will prepare fruits and drinks for me. The front desk staff is professional and efficient, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very fast. The decoration style of the hotel is modern Chinese style, which combines traditional and modern elements and has a unique charm. The breakfast is rich and varied, the afternoon tea cake is very exquisite, and the white fungus lotus seeds for supper are light and delicious and nutritious. Affordable, first-class service, come to Hengyang to live here!

AAnonymous UserI didn't want to comment at first, but after seeing your reply to the last bad review, I thought I should restore the situation of your hotel at that time. At that time, our friends arrived at the hotel very late and gave us three rooms at the price of 268 per room per night without breakfast and mountain view room. This is the Vienna member price. Then we asked to extend the stay the next day, and asked the night shift lady to say it would be 297 per room per night. We said yes, no problem, and asked her to help extend the stay first and come to renew the next day. The lady agreed. This lady has a good attitude. Thank her for the hard work of the night shift. Then the next day when we came to extend the stay, the front desk replied that we would need a member price of 385 yuan per room. For the mountain view king room, we replied that the lady agreed and quoted 297 per room, but the front desk said no, there was no such price. Later, we went to Ctrip and saw that it was 309, so we showed the price and negotiated whether we could get 297. We were too lazy to do it, and the platform was only 309, not much different, but they still said no, no, and the attitude was not friendly. They asked us to book on the platform. My friend was a little angry because the former and the latter colleagues were inconsistent, which might be a handover problem, but she did not verify it and directly refused and communicated toughly many times. We agreed to book on the platform later, which was indeed a bit unpleasant. Then after a while after we got to the room, someone at the front desk called again and said that they would send breakfast to each room, or whether they could directly give us the originally agreed price of 297 front desk price to check in and cancel the Ctrip order. Why did they have to argue for so long for that 10 yuan? Everyone was unhappy. The impression score was not good, so we refused. Later, I went to the Vienna website to see the price, which was also 308 yuan. I... Then the person who was most angry left a comment after checking out. I said that it was not easy to comment on hotels, but today I read the comments and replies, sorry I have to comment.
To be honest, this Vienna has good facilities and environment, it is worth entering, but the professionalism needs to be improved. It is not a matter of money, but it is uncomfortable. We used to stay in the hotel next door many times, and the price was much more expensive than Vienna, but we were very happy to book that hotel every time we came. Unfortunately, it closed down this year, so we booked Vienna.
Ps: Hengshan is a good place, but this does not represent our impression of Hengshan. We like it here and come here often. This incident is a small episode. I hope the hotel can treat it more objectively. I know it is not easy for you. I give it a medium review.

GGuest UserThe best hotel in Hengdong County can be booked with eyes closed. But: the south winter is generally cold indoors. Not as comfortable as heating in the north. You have to wear down indoors and you can't have bare legs or you will catch a cold and have a cold stomach. There are many local restaurants near the county seat
