This Meilun Hotel is one of the better Huazhu Group hotels. It offers excellent value for money. The welcome amenities were a thoughtful touch. The room was spacious enough, and the decor and design were also quite good. However, it's quite new, and the first room I was assigned had a strong smell. I was actually considering checking out, but after looking at the reviews, I saw similar complaints. I asked the front desk to switch my room, and the new one was much better.

SONG JIANG BONANZA WINNING HOTEL — From Smoke Signals to Sacred Silence Arrival & First Sniff This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. Stayed for nine nights over Chinese New Year for a fantastic ski vacation. The hotel offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access, and the lobby's lounge area is wonderfully cozy and comfortable, with complimentary hot tea – perfect for warming up after a tiring day on the slopes. The service was incredibly thoughtful; when I extended my stay, I had some booking issues that required canceling and rebooking (even past the free cancellation period), but they patiently assisted me with the rebooking, which I greatly appreciate. Breakfast was also very good. Dinner wasn't expensive, and the customizable Malatang (Sichuan hotpot) was excellent. It was also easy to get to town to buy fireworks and to local farm-to-table restaurants. I even won a bottle of wine during the Chinese New Year activities, wishing for a lucky year ahead. Hope to come back next year!

This new hotel is incredibly close to the train station and truly has a great design aesthetic. The first floor houses a coffee shop/Western restaurant, and the second floor is for hotel accommodations. The coffee tastes quite good, and the air is filled with a pleasant fragrance mixed with coffee aromas, which really brightens your mood. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it covers all the bases, and the service is excellent – they're always happy to help. I especially want to highlight something: I'm not sure if it was the shampoo, conditioner, or hairdryer, but after washing my hair, it smelled wonderful and felt incredibly fluffy. In the northeast, my hair usually gets flattened from wearing thick hats every day, so I was really pleased with how my hair looked after this wash!

The price is super high, it is indeed an international hotel, the service is first-class, the waiters at the front desk and the door are warm and friendly and feel at home. There is also a park across the road in front of the hotel, the scenery is pleasant, and it is very comfortable to walk two laps in the morning and evening.

Choosing Huazhu Hotel during your vacation is indeed a wise choice. As a well-known hotel chain brand, they are always committed to providing high-quality services and comfortable accommodation. The Royalton Hotel in Huadian is no exception. Everything from facilities, services to room rates are impressive. If I have the opportunity to go to Huadian again, I will definitely choose Huazhu Hotel again and look forward to the next wonderful trip!

This stay at the Riyadh Hotel Jilin truly exceeded my expectations! Upon entering the lobby, I was immediately drawn to its magnificent decor—very grand indeed. The room itself was simply superb, just like in the photos I took. It was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I slept exceptionally well. The bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet, was spotless, and hot water came quickly. The lounge area and work desk in the room were also very practical. Furthermore, I must give a special shout-out to Ms. Qu at the front desk! Her service was truly outstanding. From check-in onwards, she was incredibly warm and professional, offering a constant smile and making me feel exceptionally welcome. She patiently and meticulously answered all my questions and proactively provided a great deal of assistance. This home-away-from-home service deserves a huge thumbs up from Ms. Qu! In short, it was a very satisfying stay, with impeccable facilities and service. I highly recommend it to everyone! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jilin!

This hotel is considered one of the top hotels in Jilin City. From the lobby to the guest rooms, the facilities and amenities are all excellent! The front desk service is warm and the cleanliness is meticulous! The breakfast is delicious. Most importantly, parking is convenient; the parking lot is huge and free. A great experience, highly recommended!

This is a very good hotel. My mother and two babies are very happy. The hotel rooms are very luxurious, much better than the hotels of the same price in the south. The service quality, especially Wang Bing from the front office, made us feel at home. She was very enthusiastic and explained clearly all the questions we didn't understand. Just because of Wang Bing, I will stay here again when I go back to Jilin.

The room decor is very new, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows really lift your spirits. There's a HeyTea on the first floor, and the location is excellent, with parking downstairs. It's also not far from dining and entertainment options. The service is great too; the aunties upstairs and the front desk staff are all very friendly. I'll definitely choose MOMO again next time.
