YYongaibing1314Focus on praising the front desk receptionist for greeting guests when they come and saying goodbye when they leave. They try their best to meet the guests' requirements. Kind and polite attitude! The restaurant provides personalized service. Breakfast is extended to 10 o'clock on Saturdays and Sundays. Usually it is 9:30, but we went to eat at 8:30. Many dishes were already bottomed out, but the restaurant continued to make more. Parking is easy around the hotel, which I like. In addition, the hotel also has a laundry room.

AAnonymous UserThe owner is very kind. It is rare in China for an owner to speak English, so communication was easy. The 3-story building has a tatami room on the first floor for the kids, a living room on the second floor, and a bedroom on the third floor, all neatly organized. There is a bathroom on each floor, so it is convenient for a large family. The complex has a townhouse feel, so it is good for taking a walk around the area. Thanks to you, I had a great vacation.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel when I came to Jilin for Jonathan Lee's concert. First, let's talk about the location. The hotel is directly opposite Fortune Plaza, making it very convenient for transportation, dining, and shopping. The mall is full of great food options. Second, the hotel environment: this is a new hotel that opened in May of this year. The facilities and equipment are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and the quality is definitely on par with a five-star hotel—even the bath towels are oversized. Most importantly, the service is incredibly attentive and enthusiastic, especially thanks to a handsome guy at the front desk. All in all, a five-star review! I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I visit Jilin! The cleanliness is also top-notch!

GGuest UserThe service staff were amazing! We could easily ask them for help and suggestions. The curtains are automatic too, and would close when we’re leaving the room. Hotel breakfast was not bad. Location is great, just opposite the temple and walkable to good food area! Laundry room was open from 10am to 10pm. Space area was good, the sink separate from the toilet and bath. Snacks also available at the front desk, and if you needed more things like combs you can ask them or just take from the box at the counter below. Robot delivery for water too. The aircon doesn’t seem to work open the window and there is a natural freezer (our drinks froze)

One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot. Room Rescue Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next. Comfort Food = Home Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed. Care Beyond the Call Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking. Menu Meltdown & A Win At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned. City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace. Logistics That Worked Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring. Breakfast & The Fine Print Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in. Verdict Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. AAllxtThis hotel is excellent! We're foreigners, from Russia, and it was our first time visiting Songhua Lake. The New Story Suite Hotel made us feel right at home. All the staff were incredibly kind. There are so many fun spots in this hotel! Games, karaoke, and a restaurant are all on the -1 floor. I have three kids, so there were plenty of things for them to do. It was super convenient to bring the children here. My favorite part was the massage. I especially loved Mr. He (He Ruiyou). His hands are truly amazing! We'll definitely stay here again next time! (Original Russian review also provided): We stayed at this hotel during the New Year holidays with our large family (5 people: 2 adults and three children). We rented a large room, which was cozy and clean. We all felt comfortable in this spacious room, and there were enough beds for everyone. We loved everything about this hotel: the friendly staff, and the cleanliness was top-notch – we walked barefoot in the room. You can request room cleaning as needed. Downstairs, there's a hot water pool. The water is changed every three days. But what I liked most was the Tesla shuttle service to the mountain. And the most wonderful thing about this excellent hotel is the masseur He Ruiyou (that's his name in Chinese). After a day on the slopes, a massage from Mr. He is exactly what you need. He is the best masseur I've ever encountered.

GGuest UserThe room facilities are excellent, and the service is great! When the water in my bathtub wasn't hot enough, the duty manager, Li Bin, went above and beyond to help me switch rooms. I really appreciate his dedication. The hotel is also very close to the ski resort; it's just a few steps from the hotel's ski house to the slopes, which is incredibly convenient. The quality of the ski equipment at the hotel's ski house is pretty good. The only minor drawback is that the ski boots had a bit of an odor, perhaps they weren't cleaned and disinfected promptly. I hope this can be improved in the future.

GGuest UserAn absolutely delightful stay! I was genuinely surprised upon checking in. The room environment was fantastic, with plenty of natural light and cozy decor. The common areas were also tidy and elegant, completely free of any clutter. What impressed me most were the cleanliness details: the bedding was spotless and odorless, and the bathroom was dry and immaculate, with even the corners sparkling clean, making me feel incredibly at ease. The service was impeccable! The staff were enthusiastic yet discreet. Check-in was efficient and quick, and any requests were promptly addressed. They were also patient in answering questions, making the entire experience superb. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit!

GGuest UserThe room is spacious and clean, and the lobby is beautiful and grand. It's fully equipped with all sorts of facilities. Within walking distance, there's a riverside and plenty of food options. The lobby even has a small shop selling shaved ice bean buns and Jilin fried noodles, which is fantastic and very convenient. The breakfast is incredibly rich, with healthy options like pumpkin, sweet potato, corn, 4-5 types of porridge, various Western pastries, fried foods, noodles, Harbin red sausage, and more... We stayed for two days and still couldn't try everything. The service is exceptionally good, and breakfast is served until 9:30 AM. The lady at the front desk on duty on the morning of February 3rd provided particularly friendly and professional service, which is commendable! Definitely worth staying here!

GGuest UserStaying at the Zhanyun Hotel far exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff, Li Qingyu and Wu Jiamei, provided exceptionally good service. The lobby design is minimalist yet stylish, and the warm lighting makes you feel relaxed the moment you step in. The bedding in the room was as soft as a cloud, ensuring a great night's sleep until morning. The biggest surprise was breakfast; not only was the selection extensive, but the freshly made pastries and freshly squeezed juices tasted amazing. The service staff were always smiling and eager to assist. Next time I visit this city, I will definitely choose Zhanyun again!
