Amazing experience with a great owner! Definitely the best place to stay in the ancient city. Close to everything but down a little side street so it is nice and relaxing. Super clean and beautifully decorated. The owner was also super helpful, telling us the best local places to eat or buy local specialties, so we didn’t get “trapped” by all the tourist places around. He even told us where to go for the best photos in the area. Definitely recommend if you’re planning on staying for the night, and make sure to check out the 3rd floor balcony!

I checked into an amazing guesthouse! It's practically a living embodiment of Song Dynasty aesthetics! From the exterior to the interior furnishings, elegance and refinement are everywhere. The warm texture of the wooden furniture, paired with simple bedding and curtains, and soft lighting, creates a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The large bathtub that I could use for soaking in far exceeded my expectations! 😍😍😍 I loved it! Just staying in the room was a beautiful experience! The 24/7 online service from the guesthouse owner also made this early winter trip to Langzhong Ancient City even more heartwarming! 👍👍👍

It's a B&B, located near Huaguang Tower. Take a taxi and get off at the cruise ship station on the river. It's a 5-6 minute walk away. The owner is very welcoming and the service is very good. It's a two-story small courtyard, and Huaguang Tower can be seen in the courtyard. , open the windows on the second floor and you can see the mountain view across the river, which is very pleasant. The decoration and facilities in the house are not good. There is air leakage everywhere, and there are cracks in the door and wall. The bathroom is not separated from dry and wet areas, and it is not water-proof. The floor at the door gets wet when you take a shower. The curtains are office roller blinds, which cannot be covered. Strict; the sound insulation of the walls is very poor. Overall, as long as you don't rely on star standards, it's worth staying.

The room's terrace is especially captivating in the early morning, watching the river shroud in mist and the ancient city awaken. The unique poetic and tranquil feeling is simply impossible to experience in the crowded ancient city. Our river view room was spacious and bright, with delightful floor-to-ceiling windows. Once you lay down, you didn't want to get up. The sleep quality was exceptional. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and the high-quality toiletries smelled amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully thought out. The minibar drinks are abundant and free, and the snacks and handwritten cards of the turndown service are particularly heartwarming. I must give full marks to the service team. From the quick check-in at the front desk to the meticulous cleaning by the room aunt, the staff are well-trained and their response speed is amazing, making people feel truly valued and respected. Breakfast is definitely the highlight of the highlights. The choice is so rich, with exquisite snacks, local specialties, and fresh fruits of very high quality. That huge bookshelf wasn't just for show; my husband even discovered a copy of the *Ratnagotravibhāga* (Great Commentary on the Treatise on the Nature of Things). So, we sat under the pomegranate tree in the courtyard, basking in the sun, sipping coffee (so much better than yesterday's Starbucks) provided by the landlady, and read for the entire morning. The signboard at the entrance is very unique; the owner left it for passersby, and countless travelers came and went from morning till night. I must mention, the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We were very satisfied with everything and would definitely stay here again. Oh, and my husband insisted I give it a perfect score! 💯
