Craig50I was very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel garden was beautifully maintained and the rooms we booked were clean. Because there were 8 of us, the restaurant opened a room for us. The dinner was delicious. I personally liked the lamb chops. The service charge was more than 400 per person. The breakfast was good. In addition to the public area, you can also order. It was very pleasant to stroll around the nearby Lower Strau Village in the early morning.

The hotel in the village of Great Rissington, next to the 802 bus stop. Friends who choose to travel by bus must pay attention to the time the bus passes. The village is very quiet, surrounded by pastures, and the scenery is very good. Friends who don't drive suggest living in the town, Water Burton or ston-on-wold is more convenient.

The room was quiet, but it just looked beautiful. The ice in the freezer grid of the first choice was fluttered out, and the refrigerator door could not be closed due to failure to clean it in time. The coffee machine is bad, the shower is standing in the bathtub, so the hair is not easy to clean, so the water is very, very slow, and it is impossible to take a bath normally. The most scary thing was that I not only left a message on the APP that night, but I also told the front desk the next day when I went out, but when we returned to the room, everything was as usual, and even the towels were not changed, indicating that no one had cleaned it today.

Nice boutique hotel we have stayed a few times. Service has gone down a bit over the years but still on the good side I'd say. Limited parking and charging facility. No lift or AC in the building. I like the big comfy bed and massive bathroom. Breakfast is still top quality. Kids are not free to eat here. Overall still quite a good choice if you can book it during non-peak time for a cheaper price.

This hotel suited our purposes aside from the check in which was ruined by derogatory comments about reserving through ”cheap” websites, this hotel has a nice restaurant and a wonderful location.

Had a fantastic one night stay at The George last night. Our room was spotless and full of character. So nice to stay somewhere away from the big chains. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and super helpful - we didn’t get to meet Autumn, the resident dog, but hope to on our next stay. We’ll definitely be back! The Limoncello was also a big plus - amazing stuff!

Very convenient location around the town center. Near good pubs and breakfast cafe. Although it is not the hotel’s fault, considering there is no front desk, we have to look around the area where we can store our luggage since we don’t have a car and we arrived in Stow on the Wold in the morning before check in. Perhaps, it is one thing anyone can consider when looking for a place to stay. Very efficient communication as well with the staff. Otherwise, it is a good stay for a night. I would recommend to a friend who would like to stay around Cotswold.

Great location in the middle of town, room was nicely decorated and mattress was firm and comfortable to put liking but the pillows were very soft. Bath didn't drain so we had 4 inches of dirty water from our showers during the day (we did mention it to staff as soon as we noticed). Like a lot of Stow hotels they allowed dogs inside so we had the unpleasant finding of a dog hair on the breakfast plate in the morning. This is the problem when you allow animals where people are eating. Food prices are very expensive seeing as they asked us to eat in the bar area as restaurant was closed. We cancelled our dinner reservation as I didn't want to sit next to the heavy panting of a french bulldog next to us. Saying that staff tried to accommodate us as best as they could but also they had to follow house rules

From outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was
a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around
Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress.
