Great
GGuest UserNot worth the price. The place is stunning don’t get me wrong. However, it was a bit disappointing in terms of hospitality and the cleanliness of the hotel room was a bit disgusting with a vape and used slippers under the bed with hairs in the bath upon arrival. Furthermore, no TV remote and any information of what to do in the hotel.
Breakfast was brilliant but when you weigh the price of the hotel and the hospitality, I just don’t think £300 was worth the stay. Furthermore, the spa was rammed with children and parents so the size to person ratio was a bit much. Furthermore, restaurants are always booked up and it’s difficult to get a reservation unless you want to end up in the horsebox restaurant last minute.
Bartender was rude when under pressure from the restaurant as I asked for a drinks menu, to which he pointed me to go and get the menu for it. So just ultimately a bit disappointing especially since a room is nearly half a grand.
PPBBLIUA very lovely cottage! New, impeccably clean, and comfy. It is close to the town centre of Bourton on the Water, convenient even for those who are not arriving by car. The breakfast was in good portions and was delicious especially the scrambled eyes. It was the best breakfast I had throughout my 2 weeks in the UK.
Cotswold is a beautiful area that deserves to be explored on foot if weather permits. I regret that I had only scheduled a 2-night stay, look forward to visit again
GGuest UserOut of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip, the DoubleTree by Hilton was definitely our favorite, followed by Hampton and Holiday Inn. Sticking with chain hotels really does save you from bad experiences. This particular DoubleTree is located in the Cotswolds, making it super convenient for visiting the nearby towns. Before checking in, we popped over to Bibury. As the sun set and the tourists left, the town was absolutely serene and beautiful! We had planned to wake up early the next day to experience the peaceful beauty of Bourton-on-the-Water before the crowds arrived, but the youngsters just couldn't get out of bed, so that plan fell through. There's a local supermarket right next to the hotel, which has a great selection and good prices – perfect for stocking up on snacks if you're driving. The breakfast was delicious, and the welcome cookies were a lovely treat. The environment is beautiful, and I'd definitely recommend it. If you're driving to the Cotswolds, staying here is an excellent choice!
GGuest UserLovely old country house with outdoor space to enjoy the sun. Staff were, without exception friendly and helpful and deserve special mention. Facilities were excellent and food in the restaurant was of the highest quality.
My only negative experience was discovering that my room was in a separate building over 5 minutes walk from the hotel itself and while not a problem in the current weather I may not have enjoyed the experience as much if it had been cold or raining. My own fault because this was explained on the booking confirmation and it didn't register at the time. I'd recommend the hotel despite this but would opt for the main building if given a choice.
TTseng Kai wenThe overall experience of this hotel is very good, and the process from check-in to check-out is very smooth. The service staff is friendly and polite, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete and well-maintained. The location is convenient and the surrounding living functions are also very convenient. The overall accommodation environment is comfortable and relaxing. It is a pleasant accommodation experience and I will visit again if I have the chance in the future.
GGuest UserThe Mousetrap Inn proved to be an excellent choice for our recent getaway. The location is absolutely perfect – just a pleasant walk to the main town, giving us easy access to local attractions, shops, and restaurants while enjoying peaceful surroundings.
What truly made our stay memorable was the genuinely friendly staff. From check-in to checkout, every team member was welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had everything needed. Their local knowledge and recommendations enhanced our entire visit.
The included breakfast was a real highlight and exceptional value. Fresh, well-prepared options with plenty of variety kept us satisfied each morning before exploring. It's rare to find complimentary breakfast that actually exceeds expectations.
The inn maintains a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly matches its charming name. Clean, comfortable accommodations combined with the convenient location made it easy to enjoy both tranquil relaxation and vibrant town center activities.
Highly recommended for friendly service, great value, and ideal location.
GGuest UserHad a fantastic one night stay at The George last night. Our room was spotless and full of character. So nice to stay somewhere away from the big chains. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and super helpful - we didn’t get to meet Autumn, the resident dog, but hope to on our next stay. We’ll definitely be back! The Limoncello was also a big plus - amazing stuff!
朱朱Location is good, very close to the town centre. The English Manor Hotel is very welcoming and comfortable, with a large lawn and wide view. The hotel not only has English billiards, but also a Michelin restaurant, which is very delicious. The rooms are large and tidy, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and the garden is full of flowers. The most recommended is the hotel's own wine, which is very delicious and sweet and sour.
GGuest UserFrom outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was
a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around
Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress.
