Great
SSteve DonnieWe needed somewhere to stay to attend graduation ceremony in the Sheldonian. It fits the bill but like everywhere is expensive but this is Oxford and there is not a lot of places to go near enough to the centre.
GGuest Uservery nice boutique hotel with a good bar and restaurant below. The room nice, clean, minimalist but good furniture and decent shower. Only one complaint - if you are not a fan of capsule coffee (and I am definitely not) and you just want a cup of tea, it's a pain to have to google the coffee machine to work out how to use it when just a simple kettle would have been fine. Just 4 for the location because of the chaos at the Botley road bridge which is going on till this time next year at least! Lovely breakfast menu with good service.
GGuest UserWe were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked. Â It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend.. Â Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk. Â Buses went to the city centre and railway station. Â The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff. Â Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area. Â Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.
GGuest UserClose to the station and Oxford University, walking attractions are all done. The breakfast is rich and affordable. The room is also very good, spacious and comfortable. The only two dissatisfaction: 1. The old house has no elevator, there is a suitcase to move upstairs, the stairs are particularly narrow. 2. The front desk has to press the credit card đł. I was afraid of being stolen and wanted to press cash to be rejected. I couldn't stay without giving him a visa credit card message. I was deadlocked for a while. I used the elderly card to press the message and locked the card directly. I don't know why it is so rigid.
CCharmaine LeungThe rooms are bright, clean and spacious. There is a small private parking area just outside the hotel. It's safe and located in a convenient location. Good choice!
GGuest UserThe talkhouse was a really homely accommodation right outside of Oxford. The room was exactly like the pictures. The staff were incredibly helpful and I must say the showers is probably one of the best Iâve had in the uk. (Proper water pressure, temperature and drainage so Iâm not swimming in my own filth). Also have a drink or dinner at the pub, itâs seems to be a popular favourite amongst the locals as well. One thing to note for light sleepers, the rooms are side by side so you might hear your neighbours & it is right by the road so youâll be able to hear vehicles at busier times.
GGuest UserIt's a B&B-style hotel, but it's a bit far away. Other things are good. I asked them not to clean the room, but the staff still cleaned it actively. In addition, the sound insulation and light blocking effects of the room are not good.
BBianzoubianchangyiyaweiThe location is very good, in the center of Oxford, very convenient to go anywhere, there is a Lanzhou ramen restaurant downstairs, the taste is very good.
The room with breakfast is booked, the breakfast is very monotonous, not recommended, there are many supermarkets and restaurants around, you can buy anything to eat. And we left early on the last day, and did not have breakfast.
The hotel wins in the location, it is very convenient. The facilities and services are average
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very clean and well maintained, and overall the room was comfortable and tidy.
Its location is very convenient, close to Oxford city centre, making it easy to get around and explore the city on foot or by public transport.
One important thing to note is that there is no free parking available, and the hotel does not provide on-site parking spaces. If youâre travelling by car, youâll need to arrange nearby paid parking in advance.
Overall, a good option for cleanliness and location, but not ideal if youâre driving.
DDaiwangdeyeziWhy give full marks, first we arrived, there are staff enthusiastically help us with luggage, we live on the 3rd floor, the room is large up and down, the front desk staff is very warm to help us park, breakfast is free and paid, pay attention, If you donât choose breakfast on the order, donât be afraid. He also has breakfast for everyone. It is bread ham cheese milk coffee tea juice. This is free. The location is very convenient. It takes 8 minutes to walk to Christ College, which is the Harry Potter Magic Canteen. Go to the Ashmolean Museum within 15 minutes. Super convenient! The picture is a two-point paid breakfast, 13 yuan.
