This hotel has a unique and pleasant interior. The location is very strategic. The rooms are also comfortable and spacious. Generally, the cleanliness is good. However, there were some stains on the bed sheets. We checked, and the bed sheets had already been changed, but the stains were still there after coming from the laundry. Perhaps they could cross-check this with their laundry vendor. Even after we asked for new ones from housekeeping, they were in the same condition. Another minor point for me is the complimentary drinking water. It seems to be water from a dispenser (we don't know if it's refilled or not) served in a jug, not bottled mineral water. That's a bit odd for a 4-star hotel standard. But overall, it's okay.

The lobby is so beautiful but not really match with the room situation. Actually I expect more… poor cleanliness, carpet looks old and also the AC knob looks so dirty. And very disappointed, when I took my breakfast, they are still using many broken bowl 🫣🫣🫣 Out of standard… I think the hotel should improve this problem… I am not sure to return for the second stay…

I had a good time to stay. I enjoyed the vibe , the room, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the car parking. Definitely will stay more nights next time i come to Semarang

Fantastic location, as it is behind Lawang Sewu & directly next to a mall, which makes finding food very easy. The Hotel is modern & clean. The staff were also friendly & provided good service. Highly recommended

Another example of a 3.5-star hotel: definitely higher than a 3-star but not a 4-star yet. The location is perfect, walking distance to DP Mall, Lawang Sewu, Pandanaran area, and museums. Breakfast was nice with a changing menu every day and offered a complimentary celebratory dinner for the New Year. Unfortunately, for 2 nights we were disturbed by fellow guests nearby partying so loudly and a broken AC. The hotel arranged a different room for the final night, and this one is fine. The rooftop bar and swimming pool were nice. Gym was functional. For a hotel of this size, it's surprising that they dont have a proper parking area - your car will be parked in nearby buildings where the hotel has an arrangement and it comes with a complimentary and free valet service.

Hotel location is not really in Simpang Lima as atributed in the hotel name. Room is relatively small and just average look. Food is also just averqge, nothing special.

+ The hotel's location is great, right in the center of Semarang. The swimming pool is fantastic with a great view of Semarang city. The staff are friendly and helpful. The AC is cold. The hot water is excellent. The food and drinks are good, quite tasty. The room is reasonably soundproof. - The car parking area lacks lighting; it's really dark. The pillows and bolsters are damp, smelly, and have many unclear stains. The shower leaks, so water sprays everywhere when showering (room 1009). The carpet isn't very clean. The bed is too soft, not very good. There's no exhaust fan, so if you, uh, do your business, the smell goes everywhere in the room, haha. The lift buttons are very difficult to press; they should be replaced. Overall, it's okay. It's also proportionate to the price.

Your Review Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang Semarang, Indonesia 3-day, 2-night experience at Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang December 24 - 26, 2025 The location is strategic, close to Kota Lama Semarang, near the Great Mosque, and also close to shopping centers (Malls). Initially, we planned to go as a group of 4, so we booked 2 deluxe twin rooms. It turned out that another niece wanted to join, so we requested an extra bed for one room. ************* We were upgraded to an executive room. It had one king bed and one single bed. The room was spacious with a city view directly at the intersection. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the executive room. 🤭. Both rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. However, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't hot, and neither was the water in the sink. For breakfast, the food menu was quite tasty and varied, but the restaurant was a bit small. We tried dinner at the cafe, and all the food we ordered tasted delicious, including the cakes. The service from the security staff, front desk, and even the restaurant and housekeeping staff was very friendly, kind, and served guests wholeheartedly. Thank you for everything. Great hotel actually, nice pool and breakfast, but the building and interior is a little bit old that I’m not really into it. Many cracks at the wall and floor that not looks good. Its located in a local residences, not too close to the center of the city.
