GGuest UserThe hotel is excellent, clean, and has complete facilities. The Kids Club offers many activities for children. Ms. Sella from reservations was incredibly helpful. The salon facilities are good, and the service is excellent, especially from Ms. Firda and Ms. Nining. Breakfast has a wide variety and everything is delicious. It's also conveniently located about 960 meters from Poncol Train Station, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Facilities and services include an outdoor pool, fitness center, executive lounge, free WiFi, and free parking. Some rooms feature a minibar and a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is offered, and certain room types include executive lounge access. The staff are warm and welcoming, and check-in and check-out at the front desk are quick and easy. Overall, the service experience is excellent!

GGuest UserIt was an awesome experience in Aruss. I would like to commend the very helpful employees, everyone was so nice and welcoming.
Hotel is near supermarket making it really convenient on buying your food or late night snacks however, its quite far from malls and other landmarks. During ramdaman, it took us few minutes to book a taxi, whether gojek or bluebird and the fare rate shoot up when non-peak hours.
I would appreciate if the pool is heated and if the sauna will be placed outside the gym.
But all in all, I love my stay in Aruss hotel and I will definitely comeback.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located with a shopping mall right across the street. The breakfast spread is abundant and varied, and the service is warm and friendly. The only downsides are that the air conditioning can be a bit noisy at night and the bathroom is relatively small.

GGuest UserOverall service was excellent especially Mr Aviet, duty manager. I highlighted to him that there was no view at all in my room; the mirror was stained and the tap water splashing when turned on. He immediately came to my room and gave options for a change. He swapped my room on the same floor with a nice view on the second day for the rest of my stay.
The breakfast every morning was a good spread and the staff team worked well in harmony.
Overall, good experience with excellent both front desk and F&B. We

TTokyo07Everyone was friendly..Staff were helpful and polite..They greeted you everytime they see you..Some even offered to assist you even though if you didn’t ask.Service was simply perfect,no complains!
Gym and pool were under maintenance.Construction was going on at the main hotel.Wasn’t aware of the maintenance till you checked in (Maintenance Notice placed on room table).Maybe updates should be reflected on third party apps or via whatsapp to avoid disappointment.
Wifi was poor.For a well rated hotel,this was a huge letdown.Management & maintenance should look into this.Was staying at room 806.Not sure if other floors or rooms are encountering this problem.Ended up using data roaming through my 3 days there.

My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

MMels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱

FFau.MuThe hotel is nice, the rooms are big, the mattresses are soft, and the facilities are very good for families, there is a children's playground and a swimming pool.
I personally don't like the parking location because it's quite narrow and initially quite confusing.
I also dislike the breakfast because the food options are very few. maybe for the next order I will not include breakfast.
Very good and strategic location.
