The hotel has a great design. Although the rooms are small, the beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. The downsides are that there is no elevator, the staff is not well-trained, there is no restaurant, the parking lot is very small, and there are no slippers in the rooms.

Anonymous UserNice staycation at one of the 4-star hotels in the heart of Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It's a cool new hotel, clean, and has a strategic location. Right next to the hotel, there are plenty of food options, like Tegal goat satay and authentic Semarang Hapkie noodles, plus a Superindo supermarket across the street.
I often stay at this hotel chain for business trips. The breakfast menu has a good variety, including dim sum. The only downside is that the rooms don't have wardrobes, drawers, or anything like that, so there's no space to store belongings.
One more important thing: please offer more attractive big discounts so I'll always book through vendors like Trip.com.

Anonymous UserI booked a room with a view of Semarang city from my room, but unfortunately, it was obstructed by hotel decorations. So the view was only visible through small gaps. Maybe it's because of the promotional price? Everything else was okay though.

user155Very clean room and a very new hotel. The space in front of the bed is a bit limited, but I honestly did not mind at all. The location is convenient, situated above a mall, and the TV is a smart TV so you can watch YouTube.
Do note that if you are dropped off by taxi at the mall entrance, there is an additional IDR 5,000 charge due to the mall’s policy. Overall, I was satisfied with the stay and felt it was good value for the price paid.

AfitWidyThe cleanliness was a bit lacking, and since it's an old building, the interior is worn out and not very pleasant to look at. The food was good, typical of Amaris, always having a similar taste no matter the location. The location is strategic and easily accessible.

🌟 Rating: 4.5 / 5 | A classic, well-established hotel with an excellent location and attentive service, perfect for both business and leisure!
✍️ Review:
My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

Anonymous UserThis is the first time my family and I have been so satisfied staying in a 2-bedroom residence unit. We could all stay together with our two parents and the two of us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The sofa bed was also comfortable and spacious for sleeping. It could easily accommodate 5 people, or even 7, because the king-size bed was incredibly huge, more than 2 meters wide. We were very impressed and satisfied with all the facilities. There were two dressing tables. There's a bathroom in each room, and even an additional toilet in the living room, although it's not for showering. So, a total of 3 toilets. The room temperature was just right; it could be adjusted and turned off. There was only one hanger in each room, so we had to request more, and it took a long time – we had to call three times before they arrived. Initially, we didn't realize the shower drain had a rubber stopper, so it ended up flooding everywhere, and it took a while to get a new mat. But overall, it was a very nice experience staying at LK Pemuda. Please improve the quality of your service and facilities!

L. MikeThe breakfast is horrible, bland porridge, only lettuce for the salad, there's pasta but its macaroni covered in small red sauce with no taste, tables doesnt get cleaned properly, 2 people on the egg corner only serving egg with salt, no toppings, no veggies, just pure egg + salt, main course got no variation, noodle rice 1 type of veg, a fish, and chicken. To access the restaurant you need to go through the pool, cool way of thinking, not practical when theres a lot of children playing with the water, parents and nannys sitting on the side.

Yunanistya RahmadhianiWe booked two rooms. When one of the rooms, the AC was not cold, called the receptionist, and was responded to well. An hour later, the room was cold again. Breakfast is quite varied.

Mels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
