5-Star Hotels in Tengchong

(Just between us 🤫: My husband immediately said the hotel owner must know feng shui! The location is just perfect – a place where the wind is sheltered and energy gathers, surrounded by mountains and water. I'm not in good health and almost always have insomnia, but I slept incredibly soundly for the three days I stayed here!!) We originally only planned to stay one day, but the environment and energy were so good that we extended our stay for two more days! If we weren't rushing to catch up on our itinerary, we would have stayed a week, not wanting to go anywhere else, just staying in the hotel! After staying here, all I can say is: I'll be comparing all other hotels to this one from now on… I've stayed in many so-called luxury hotels, both domestic and international, but this owner is a rare example of someone with OCD! The attention to detail makes you feel sophisticated everywhere you go; their aesthetic sense is impeccable! The room decor and interior furnishings are truly meticulous (in a good way)! From a small kettle to a tissue box, everything is tastefully chosen, exuding a sense of luxury that you can see, touch, and feel comfortable using. The room has underfloor heating, so there's no need to turn on the air conditioning, and it's not dry at all. The slippers are always warm! I've stayed in many seemingly luxurious hotels, but the details are nowhere near as impressive as Cloud Palace Starry Sky… If it were during an economic boom, I think it would be incredibly successful!! The room views are absolutely stunning! Sky, clouds, mountains, trees, and water are all right in front of you. The overall environment, cleanliness, and service are impeccable! The private hot spring bath is on the balcony; soaking in the hot spring while breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the grassland view is so soothing! I even had the illusion of being back in New Zealand/Australia…so relaxing! The service and emotional value are off the charts! The butler is so considerate! He replies to messages instantly and even drives to pick us up every morning to go to the restaurant for breakfast (the walk is actually very short). But this feeling of being taken care of is a real plus. Breakfast offers four set menus to choose from, and they are very plentiful. We usually eat around 10:30 am, combining breakfast and lunch. I recommend ordering the steak and salmon set menus! For dinner, we ordered stir-fries at the restaurant. Their chef must have an extremely high culinary skill level! The stir-fries have a smoky, wood-fired flavor, so we ate dinner at the restaurant for three consecutive days! It was so delicious, and the dinner menu was very reasonably priced! By the way, you absolutely must try their braised pork belly and cat-tooth rice fried rice! Absolutely amazing! Who came up with that?! When we left, the butler and manager even gave us a gift bag and coffee! So thoughtful, I almost felt a little embarrassed 🥹 I'll definitely bring my family back for a second visit! I've never written such a long review before… But I highly recommend this place!

I particularly like this hotel. From the moment I told the owner what time our flight would arrive when I booked the hotel and that it was my child's birthday and we needed to prepare a cake and longevity noodles, I had a wonderful experience. From the airport pick-up to the smiley welcome at the entrance, the warm and design-conscious layout reflects taste and character everywhere. We booked a morning dormitory, which is convenient for adding a bed. The room has a landscaped terrace and a private hot spring. The high terrain makes the view superb. The hotel also has a coffee shop, which is very convenient for drinking hand-poured tea. In the evening, they cook tea around the fire. My husband likes to go downstairs to drink Pu'er, my daughter and I like hand-poured coffee, and my son likes the private hot spring. We each have our own fun. The breakfast is particularly rich and delicious. The environment is quiet and not cluttered. Washing and drying are very convenient. The interior of the hotel is very photogenic and beautiful for taking pictures. As a traveler who loves to play and is very picky, I recommend everyone to experience this hotel when visiting Tengchong. When I left, the female owner also gave me a cake of tea. In fact, even if she didn't give me tea, I would have given it a heartfelt praise from the bottom of my heart. It is really good. I felt the warmth of fate between strangers. Very good. We had just spent 3 nights at this B&B and loved our stay there very much. The manager on duty, Mr Wang, picked us up from the airport. Helped us settle in. We then wandered around the ancient town, which was a very nice place to explore as well. He assisted us with booking an onsen session at another resort in the area (20-minute walk). Also helped us with booking rental car, making travel plans, booking ride to Baoshan Railway Station. He and his crew were friendly, genuinely kind, attentive, always offering to assist. Room was super comfortable. Design was simple but very nice. He designed the decor himself. Given the chance, I would love to come back and stay again (longer, hopefully).

The room was very comfortable, well-laid out, and fully equipped. It was also quite spacious, and there was a private hot spring bath in the room. The viewing platform on the third floor offered beautiful views of the fields. Breakfast was also plentiful. The service was excellent. The only slight drawback was that the view from the room was of other houses, so the scenery wasn't great. Otherwise, it would have been perfect! The rooftop afternoon tea for two included freshly baked flower cakes and a sweet and delicious rose honey tea.

Thanks to the hotel for its meticulous care during my stay, it is the top three in the overall ranking of so many good hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast should be the best, not heavy every day, nutrition. The suite I stayed in this time met the needs of my whole family. The meticulous facilities and perfect scenery of the room are really a very strong color in my trip. How many days I come back, I often turn up the photo aftertaste. It is really great. I recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is located on the high mountainside of Heshun Scenic Area. It is a great advantage to take a great sunset viewing location from east to west. You can drive directly to the hotel's private parking lot. The public space of the hotel is very sufficient, the room is spacious, the design style is unique, and the bedding is tall. But one thing that needs to be improved is that the wash basin location of the room is not well lit, and there is no mirror headlight. The room has a separate outdoor pool. We can watch the sunset in the evening, and we can watch the moon and stars soak in the hot springs at night, which is a beautiful enjoyment. What is even more praised is the boss's hospitality and boldness. We wanted to enjoy the sunset while eating hot pot in the evening, and he moved the table to the best viewing location on the second floor, allowing us to enjoy a private custom treatment. And the ingredients prepared are also fresh. It was a great experience.

An unparalleled experience, the children praised the hotel's various experiences, all of which were the best. Who doesn't like a bed that slides out onto the terrace? The care of the owner is full of tenderness in every detail, with just the right light fragrance. All the food in the hotel is exquisite and delicious, including coffee, desserts, and every dish from breakfast to dinner. Yousuo is the same hot spring as Lotus. The private hot spring on the terrace is more comfortable and clean. I also played with Lotus before checking in. In addition to the children liking the lively lotus hot spring scene, other hygiene and environment are really worth choosing Yousuo. If you don’t bring children, Yousuo is enough for bathing. When I arrived in Yousuo, I immediately felt like I was on vacation. Next time I come to Tengchong, I will definitely choose to stay a few more days.

On the first day, my family gave me some negative feedback. The room was quite dark, and the lights were broken; I couldn't control them individually. They were either all on, or I had to repeatedly turn them off and on several times for them to finally switch off together. The private hot tub in the room was convenient, but it easily made the floor wet. Since it had been raining for several days, the room was very damp, and my swimwear wouldn't dry. The food variety was limited, but the staff were very friendly, and the ingredients were fresh. The rice noodles and Ersi (a local noodle dish) were delicious. Every staff member I encountered was extremely polite. Desserts were delivered every evening, but on the first day, we weren't informed; there was just a card placed on the coffee table. No one saw it. I missed out on the dessert I wanted to try 🥲. We only saw the card the next morning. Lastly, the room felt a bit old, and there were quite a few spiders.

Location: Situated at the foot of Yunfeng Mountain, it's just a few minutes' ride on the hotel's shuttle directly into the scenic area. Surrounded by lush mountains, you can see the peak of Yunfeng Mountain from the hotel's public areas, shaped like a pen rack, with a Ming Dynasty Taoist temple on the central summit and the Queen Mother's Palace halfway up the mountain. The culinary skills at the Yinwu Restaurant are excellent, and we all left feeling very full. Cleanliness: The service staff were generally adequate, though occasionally requests took a while to be fulfilled. After checking in, some minor cleaning details had been missed. Facilities: Most facilities are quite new, and the smart features are well-implemented. However, to use the hot springs, you need to call the control room via the landline, but sometimes no one answers, though they do call back later. The water temperature might require changing the water a few times to maintain a sufficient heat. Service: Our butler, Xiao Yang, connected with us in advance. However, with many guests, it seems he couldn't always manage everything, for instance, when I asked for a comb, the attendant brought a different kind. So, more attention to detail is needed. Overall, there might be a slight disparity between the price and the experience.
