"Having traveled frequently and stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, I'm quite picky about hotel layouts and decor. My initial goal was to find a hotel with its own hot spring so I could enjoy Tengchong's hot springs without having to go elsewhere for a private soak. Secondly, this guesthouse's decor, layout, and location were exactly what I wanted. Situated halfway up a mountain, it was very quiet and private. Soaking in the hot spring amidst the sounds of insects was incredibly relaxing. The air was also very fresh, and on rainy days you could see the morning mist, while on sunny days you could witness a stunning sunset – a truly wonderful experience. It's also worth mentioning the owner's exceptional service. From welcoming us to seeing us off, their attentiveness made us feel right at home. We stayed two nights here and had a fantastic experience. I'll definitely come back next time and highly recommend it!"

"The family suite at Yuzhou Hotel is nestled in the heart of Tengchong, just 500 meters from Tengchong Pedestrian Street. Tengchong is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel offer a picturesque view, like a traditional Chinese landscape painting. The design blends Eastern Zen aesthetics with modern simplicity, creating a tranquil and stylish atmosphere that makes you instantly forget the hustle and bustle of city life. The front desk staff provided delightful service with warm smiles, making us feel right at home. We received a welcome fruit platter upon check-in, and the service throughout our stay was attentive and polite without being intrusive. The housekeeping staff meticulously cleaned our room every day. Any requests made to the front desk were promptly addressed. As for the hot spring experience, our room was conveniently located next to an outdoor hot spring pool. The water quality is genuine hot spring water! After a soak, our skin felt incredibly smooth, and we experienced a significant sense of relaxation. The public hot spring area offers various functional pools, all clean with well-managed crowd control, ensuring good privacy. This was definitely the most worthwhile part of our trip – enjoying a warm spring bath under the starry sky. The breakfast quality was decent, served semi-buffet style, with a rich selection of both Chinese and Western options, as well as local specialties like Yunnan rice noodles, providing a great start to the day. From the owner to the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to help solve problems. The airport shuttle service was excellent, and they even helped with our luggage, which was a great relief given how difficult the ancient town's roads are to navigate. The room itself was very spacious and quiet, and the oversized bathroom was a real treat, featuring a double vanity and a smart toilet. All the facilities were top-notch! The room came with complimentary fruit and snacks, meeting all our needs. Every detail was so beautiful. I kept thinking, ”You get what you pay for.”
I took a shower and did laundry first.
Then I took a nap.
Afterwards, I read in the rocking chair.
I burned incense and drank tea at the tea table.
I waited quietly for the sunset.
At sunset, the afterglow filled the room. No wonder the room is called ”Sunset Melting Gold.”

"The pick up service was-very good. The driver Xiao Mao was very friendly to give me a lot of information about the city on the way to the hotel. All the staffs at the front desk were very helpful too.I liked very much the breakfast but it was a-pity that the hotel did not serve dinner.lt caused me problem to search restaurant for food especially during raining nights. As the road in front the hotel was under construction, it made me to walk in the muddy path. I loved and appreciated the good services provided by the hotel, and the sweet fungi soup served at about 8:30pm every night was really enjoyable. As l am 80 years old now, l may not have chance to visit again but l will surely recommend the hotel to my friends if they come to Tengchong next time."

"This is a newly opened luxury hotel. The rooms are spacious and each comes with a balcony. The hot springs and pool are great. The T-shaped pool has a unique design and the water quality is excellent.
To be honest, the previous reviews were quite accurate. The service at this new hotel isn't quite polished yet. There's no service directory in the room, so information about dining options or the gym is unclear. While the front desk provides a WeChat contact for a butler, their responses are slow and communication with the front desk isn't well-coordinated. The pool showers lack curtains, meaning you're exposed to everyone. They still have some work to do."

GGuest UserThis stay was fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone! Our host, Minsu, was very welcoming and personally picked us up at the Ginkgo intersection. He also gave us plenty of recommendations for nearby attractions. The room was decorated in a simple and sophisticated style, very clean, and comfortable. Their large, high-definition TV was perfect for watching a movie in bed after a bath. The location is also great; Ginkgo King is just a five-minute walk away. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I'd definitely stay here again.

RRosaMaryThe ancient town of Heshun is absolutely gorgeous, and we stayed at Leyin Inn, which has received zero negative reviews.
Leyin Inn has a superb location, right next to the Wanlouzi Residents' Museum, and right next to Hua Jie's Private Kitchen (opposite Hua Jie's is a small, unassuming shop run by elderly folks serving incredibly delicious home-style dishes). The innkeeper sent someone to pick us up and take us into the ancient town for free. After we bought tickets with our ID cards (valid for seven days, which was a great deal since I bought my boat tickets at the same time), they drove us all the way to the hotel parking lot. Keep in mind that Heshun Ancient Town has many ups and downs, and the ground is paved with bricks, making it difficult to push luggage around. The innkeeper kindly helped us with our luggage.
We booked a private hot spring room, which was great value for money. The original hot spring water from Rehai was brought over, and we told the innkeeper they would come and fill it with water.
Our child and the other children staying at the inn had a great time. We only booked one night, and they even gave us a free ride to the bus station. The service was truly excellent. We'll definitely stay at Leyin Inn again next time we visit Heshun Ancient Town.

Location: The taxi positioning is accurate. Behind the official hotel, there is a very quiet homestay area, and takeaways can be delivered.
Environment: clean, warm, emotional, willing to work hard in the details, sincerity is the boss's hospitality, every time I meet, I will greet you warmly ～
Facilities: The twin room has a large space, the bedding is super comfortable, the pillows kill most hotels in seconds, the central air-conditioning ＋ wall-mounted air-conditioning, and the toiletries are dreamed back to college time in one second. Weight scales, sewing boxes, nail clippers, floss, masks, earplugs, etc. are available! There are two washing machines and one dryer in the common area, which can be used by self-service.
Service: Drinking water, soda, snacks, fruit are all provided free of charge. Breakfast is served in the small restaurant with sour seeds and sugar. There are freshly cooked bait silk and rice noodles. The coffee is delicious! Please ask the boss to arrange a car drop-off in advance, and received a warm souvenir on the day of departure.～
Because the itinerary is tight, we basically leave early and return late, and we have not been able to experience the slow life of the homestay, but it does not affect my determination to strongly recommend Fengli!

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, very close to all the city attractions, and it's super convenient for taxis and food delivery. Since it's located inside a villa complex, it's also very quiet at night. We came with elders and kids and booked a family room on the ground floor with a yard. We could sunbathe in the yard in the afternoon, and there was even a osmanthus tree that was still blooming in December – it smelled amazing!
The owner is incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering recommendations for attractions and dining spots, and even paying attention to the kids' needs, which was really great. On our departure day, our flight was quite early, and we were worried about missing breakfast. The owner specifically asked the cook to prepare breakfast earlier for us so we could have a hot meal before heading to the airport. We couldn't book a hot spring room this time, but we'll definitely try it on our next visit!

YYoo agWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner and his wife are extremely kind and welcoming. They brought us to many beautiful places and spent time showing us around and even playing with us, which made our trip very special.
The hotel offers great value with a high standard. Everything is clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
One of the most special things about this place is the onsen (hot spring). The water comes from a real natural hot spring, which makes the experience very authentic and relaxing.
We truly appreciate the warm hospitality from the owner and his wife. They even promised to come visit us in the future, which shows how genuine and friendly they are. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality stay with wonderful hosts and a real hot spring experience.

XXjtudouThis trip was with my sister and niece! The guesthouse was conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, making it easy to get in and out! Because it was at the end of a small alley, the environment was quiet, conducive to rest! The host personally picked up and dropped off our luggage at the scenic area entrance! Breakfast was healthy and delicious every day! We ordered the rice noodles in soup every day! They were very responsive to guests' requests! Finally, I'd like to suggest they be a little more proactive in their service!

The location is absolutely beautiful. It’s tucked away in the mountains, surrounded by greenery and open fields, so it feels peaceful and secluded without being too far from the main attractions. Waking up to misty mountain views every morning was such a treat.
The biggest reason I booked this place was the private hot spring, and it did not disappoint. The hot spring water comes directly from Rehai and is available 24/7. Having a private soaking pool in the courtyard was amazing—completely private, quiet, and perfect after a long day of exploring. After visiting Rehai and the surrounding attractions, soaking in the warm mineral water felt incredibly relaxing. My muscles felt less sore, and I slept so well afterward.
The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. The bed was soft, the bathroom was modern and well-maintained, and even the toiletries felt high quality. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared.
What really stood out was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with fresh local fruit, and they took the time to explain how to use the hot spring and recommend places to visit nearby. They were always quick to help whenever we had questions.
Breakfast here was delicious, with local Tengchong specialties like freshly cooked rice noodles and eggs. There’s also a nice spot to grab coffee and relax around the property.
Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with family, or bringing your parents for a relaxing wellness getaway, I would definitely recommend this place. If I ever return to Tengchong, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

JJIAJIAStayed in the ancient town for four nights. The location of the homestay is very convenient next to the large parking lot in the ancient town. The bathroom has a drying hot air and floor heating. It is comfortable to use a dyson hair dryer, with a large bathtub, and dry and wet separation. The overall service of the homestay is particularly good. There is also a housekeeper to pick up the parking lot in the middle of the night. In the morning, there is an aunt who prepares to pack corn sweet potatoes and egg snacks for us in advance. The aunts are very friendly and dry our clothes and put them back in the room. The boss brother and Miss Sister are also very intimate to recommend a variety of food and hot springs (Lotus Hot Spring). The overall stay is very worry-free, five points praise 💗

It's located on the edge of the ancient town, a bit far from the main area, so it's not recommended for elderly people with mobility issues. It's fine for young people, and you can even take a walk around Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs were okay, but perhaps because we went during the off-season, there were only two pools available, so the experience wasn't great when it was crowded. I highly recommend the nearby ”Mama's Taste” restaurant – it's incredibly delicious!
