Hotels in Wuyue Plaza/Zhonghui Wanda Plaza, Xining

This hotel offers great value for money. The overall facilities are quite good, and I would still highly recommend it, especially if you're not sensitive to cigarette smoke. However, there are a few downsides: 1. The hot water is unstable, constantly fluctuating between cold and hot. 2. The floor has a very strong smoke smell. 3. The towels and pillowcases in the room also smell of smoke. 4. The room heating is too strong and dry, making it difficult to sleep.

I chose Park Plaza as it was convenient to both the train station and airport. The price was also excellent value for money. My train from Lhasa arrived at 6.30am and I caught a taxi the short distance to Park Plaza without issue. I checked in around 7am and was shown my room. It was beautiful, very spacious with a large window, and it also had a freestanding bath. Unfortunately I could smell cigarette smoke, which is not uncommon in Chinese hotels. I asked for a different room and was immediately shown one . This room was identical but the bed covers were a children's design and there were some toys and teepee in one corner . I simply folded the bright yellow covers down and had a lovely tasteful decor again. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was very quiet. The buffet was beyond excellent and the head chef and his small team were very friendly and attentive. Clearly they were very proud of their fabulous buffet and presentation....as they should be. It was my best in China.. I found a lovely walking trail behind the hotel beside the river, 5 mins away. The area in general was nice to wander around, very different from my stay in the centre of city when on my way to Tibet. I will most definitely choose Park Plaza when I return to Xining.

They promptly sent up a complete set of office supplies – the paper was as pristine white as freshly fallen snow, seemingly waiting for inspiration to strike, and the gel pen felt like a magic wand for smooth writing. Even the exquisite welcome gift seemed to emit a faint fragrance. This thoughtful preparation was like a timely rain, offering a unique sense of coolness and comfort amidst my busy schedule. In this foreign hotel, I no longer felt like a lonely traveler, but a guest treated with gentle care. I highly recommend it to all business travelers like myself! **Humorous Style:** Who gets it, fam! I could almost see the front desk lady internally thinking, “Don’t worry, business guests, I’ve got your back! The hotel is newly renovated, but I learned from the front desk that it has been open for more than half a year. I thought there would be a smell in the room, so I went to the hotel with the attitude of giving it a try. The result was a different feeling. Not only was there no smell in the room, There is also a faint scent of tea, which is very comfortable. The facilities are very complete. No matter it is hot or cold outside, you can drink smooth drinking water as soon as you return to the room. The lighting is very good. You can see the local address park when you open the curtains. The scenery and night view are particularly beautiful. I live on the 11th floor. I can appreciate the quietness and beautiful night view of Xining, Qinghai Province at night. In short, I am very satisfied, very satisfied. I had a great time staying with my children and the trip was also very pleasant. Everything about the hotel They are all disposable items, clean and hygienic, and they are delivered repeatedly. I will not charge for them. I used to charge for the second portion when I went to other places. This hotel did not charge any fees. Although the breakfast was not large, it was very delicious. Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance. However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated. Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea. Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

The hotel is conveniently located not far from both the airport and train station, just a 20-minute taxi ride to Caojiapu Airport. During check-in, I even noticed flight attendants staying here, which gave me a good impression. We were traveling with elderly parents and a child, so we had booked a triple room. On the day of arrival, we called ahead and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a family suite. It featured a 1.8-meter king-size bed and a 1.5-meter bunk bed. Both grandma and the little one had their own beds, and our child, who had always dreamed of sleeping on the top bunk, was absolutely thrilled! They didn't even want to check out. Breakfast was also good, though it did get quite busy during peak hours, and we had to wait for a table. The hotel also provides a self-service laundry room, which is a huge convenience for long-distance travelers.

A really good store, whether in terms of service, hygiene, or facilities, it has full marks. At this price, the cost performance is very high! Near Wuyue Plaza, the store is at an intersection, you can see the sign, the front desk is on the first floor, check in and take the elevator upstairs! There is a restaurant and a laundry room on the first floor, which are quite complete! The two young ladies at the front desk provide very good service, speak softly, and are skilled and neat in their work! A small refrigerator is provided, and mineral water is given for free! The hygiene is also very good, and the room attendants on the floor are very thoughtful! When checking out, there are also small gifts, which is very heartwarming! In short, it is a store that exceeds expectations a lot. It is indeed the first choice if you live nearby! Recommended

I stayed at this hotel with two colleagues on a business trip to Xining. We were initially greeted with welcome fruit. However, the experience worsened over the next few days. They didn't change the linens for three days, and on the third night, we found booklice on the bed! We were so scared we immediately changed rooms. The dust and hair in the corners weren't cleaned properly, and the blankets were just thrown on the pillow the day before check-out. The front desk service was also subpar; on the second day, when my colleague wanted yogurt, the front desk simply hung up on her during the call.

Friends with limited budgets highly recommend this! The location is super convenient, 2 minutes walk to the bus station, surrounded by food and convenience stores. Although the room is small, it is clean and tidy, the hot water is very powerful, and there is free high-speed Wi-Fi. The front desk service is warm and actively provides travel guides. The price is full, the student party and the poor travel party close their eyes
