Our stay at Yufuin Kaze no Mori was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a sense of calm that perfectly reflects the beauty of Yufuin. The private onsen experience was exceptional — peaceful, serene, and surrounded by nature. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and soaking in the hot spring was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and immaculately clean, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comfort. Every detail felt intentional and refined.

Some new fashion, hybrid Ryokan. Many employee already foreigner you cannot find aesthetic old scent Japan here. Good job as a rest spot to hangout with family. Room noise can cross a bit over, not much if you not sleep on the bed (just sleep on futon as recommendation) Nice onsen in room for solitude traveler.

Hotel provided transport from Yufuin Station to hotel, which just take a few minute only. Nice environment, tidy and beautiful. Great food. Staffs are so nice. They are polite, fast in response, and helpful.

I was able to truly rest during the trip I took with my parents. I was initially hesitant because of the price, but it was such a satisfying experience that it was well worth it at all. All the staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. If I travel again, I definitely want to book for at least one night to ensure a comfortable stay.

Since I was traveling with my parents, it was a bit inconvenient that the large public bath was not in operation. The shuttle bus service was very convenient, and both dinner and breakfast had a charming atmosphere and were neat meals. Overall, it looked clean, but it felt old and worn, and the bedding in the tatami room didn't feel very pristine. Nevertheless, the hot spring water and the atmosphere were good.

Sleeping on the bed is more comfortable than sleeping on tatami. The rooms have an indoor hot spring pool and an outdoor hot spring pool, and the hygiene is very good. The hotel also has a public pool. The quality of dinner and breakfast is good, and the dishes are very fresh. The meal is in a small private room. I met Chinese employees at dinner, who were very enthusiastic to introduce the dishes. The other service staff were also very enthusiastic and asked if they wanted to help take pictures. When eating, someone in the private room next door had a birthday, and the service staff also sang the birthday song together, which was emotionally valuable. I really like the fragrance of the tea leaves ordered in the room when I checked in. The hotel has a pick-up service. When you check in, you will be asked if you need to be taken to Yufuin Station (the reception staff is a non-Japanese foreigner (not from Europe or the United States) but can speak English, so communication is no problem). If you want to be picked up at the station, you may need to email or call in advance (because I didn't know what time I would arrive, so I walked to the hotel by myself. There is an uphill road. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended to contact the hotel in advance to arrange for a pick-up). Overall, it is a small but exquisite hotel. Although it does not have the various names of other Yufuin hot spring hotels, it provides a very good stay experience.
