Firstly, I would like to acknowledge Afiq during check in. He was extremely courteous extremely polite. Room is slightly smaller than imagined which I think is due to the layout yet fully functional. Smart TV had netflix, youtube and prime which wad AWESOME. Water pressure good with hot water. Room came with clean towels and bed sheets. Toilet was bigger than expected. Room seems a little rundown though. Cleanliness will be an issue for some eg. stains on the sofa and alot of dirt under the bed. Ohh yeah we had an encounter with mr roach which I dealt with swiftly. 🥲

A bit disappointed. From the lobby check in semua smooth. Dpt upgrade bilik ke family room sbb full bilik yg kita book. I takde masalah with that as long as cleanliness yg penting. But the toilet not really clean for me. Have stain yg kekal dkt cover toilet bowl. Rasa patut tukar.

The location is great. Room is very spacious and clean but soundproof not so good. Bed is also very comfortable. Able to hear the neighbor's noise and bar music across the road (till 12am). Water pressure also a bit slow.

No mineral water prepared, but you can refill the water at the common area. Location very good - next to the hotel is the famous food street , opposite hotel has famous Chinese dessert shop and the local biscuits shop. Car park consider ok, easily get parking - free for hotel guest but better check with counter before go out.

Stayed for 2 nights and had wonderful breakfast there. It would be more wow if we could have different breakfast menu the next day. It was rainy days when we were in Penang. We found umbrella in the room and saved the day! Overall experience at Park Royal is great and I would definitely come back

Not allowing us to check in early. Finally we got our room on 13/F, see view from room. Bathroom is narrow, a bit old, bathroom door knob is kinda broken, with basic amenities. Pillow is soft and room is clean. Old school hair dryer. Boring TV channels. House keeping is good, the young guy on our floor is sincere, polite and hard working. He helped to change the rusty/dirty kettle. Concierge service is good. Most of them are friendly and helpful. We were trying to go for the 1 for 1 happy hour (poster was inside the lift), we missed twice during our stay. When we asked Recep on our last night, we were told it is for club floor only? This Recep was kinda impatient when she replied, just coz we weren’t staying on that floor, ? didn’t take not of her name. Good location in Georgetown.

This hotel is good for solo travelers. Overall, my stay was okay. However, the check-in experience needs improvement. I booked a room online a few days before the event, but upon arrival, the receptionist was unsure if my room was ready. I requested housekeeping in the morning, but the room was only available around 6 PM. On the plus side, check-out was smooth. As for the amenities, I think the hotel needs an upgrade for better customer convenience.

Courteous staffs. Check in seems compulsory to use the self check in machine. But it's a user friendly and smooth. Check out can use self service machine or through the receptionist staffs. No in room dining menu in the room, but probably need to call/ask. Anyone can access guest rooms floor as there's no access card restrictions, I hope can improve on this for security reason. Good amenities overall. I like the colgate brand toothpaste. Feels legit and clean using it. Soap amd shampoo formulated by Tanamera. Love the soft pillows and bed as well. Breakfast buffet is so and so in terms of options compared to other 4 stars hotel, but I think it's enough. All tasted good. Located just right next to Sunway Medical Center and walking distance to few shop lot restaurants both halal and non halal. But for some, including Sunway Carnival Mall, you need to cross road manually(no traffic lights for pedestrian). Quite easy to get ehailing from the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The location of the hotel is near to the shopping center. 5 minutes to get a Grab. The breakfast is super good. Stayed there for 1 night, and the main dishes change every day. Nice and cosy place. The room is ok not super big but needs to be improved on the condition of the room. Overall, if you intend to stay for relaxing, this is the place. Reasonable price.

We simply loved the stay at the hotel. Everything right from the time we checked in to the checkout exceeded our expectations.

Love the complimentary coffee at the lobby. Receptionist are very friendly especially the indian male which I can't recall his name. Gym and swimming pool are brand new as well!

Check in on saturday,quite late check in and hotel seems not so busy. Room was okay and toilet was clean but there's leftover drinks with plastic inside the mini bar. Supervisor didnt check the room properly. Hope management will take actions and housekeeping supervisor double check the room before let the guest checking in.

Stayed at Grand Orient for one night for a business trip, and even though the hotel catered more for families with children (they have an in-house water park, though I did not try it out), I was generally satisfied with my stay. Room: Being relatively new certainly helped them in this regard, as the room's fittings were good and intact and the room itself felt fresh despite not having any windows. Bed and linen were comfortable, and the room was equipped with basic amenities. They provided an ironing board and iron which was a handy addition. Toilet was clean and modern. My only complaint - the toilet had a small tube (most probably for draining air-conditioning condensate water) sticking out of the ceiling directly on top the sink, which dripped water once in a while. Definitely something that needs to be improved on. Also, the room was quite small and felt slightly cramped. Location: Not very conducive, as there are hardly any shops within walking distance. The nearest convenience store would be a petrol station, about a 5-minute walk away. You would have to drive out for food and goods. Staff: Professional and welcoming. No complaints. Conclusion: Even though the Grand Orient had an in-house water park and was more family-oriented, the hotel premises was generally clean. It is probably not well suited for certain target groups, so do bear in mind what your priorities are before considering this place. All in all an ok place, though I may have scored it higher if it weren't for the odd water leak issue in the toilet.

Room is decently equipped and clean. For its affordable price, we can't expect too much. But 1 thing to comment, for rooms closer to the access to lift area, it can be very noisy, since the room's door is very much NOT noise insulated. So you will hear every guest talking on corridor. The closer the room to the lift, the much Guests' noise you will receive.
