The Cinque Terre are now world-famous and most of the villages are little gems. But I wanted to tell you more about less known villages like Portovenere which is honestly a very cute village and a little less touristic. If you are in the area, you should definitely visit Portofino, which is certainly touristy and a little bit fancy, but it is so beautiful and it is certainly the most beautiful place in the area. For your information I stayed in the small seaside town of Sestri Levante, which is located halfway between Portofino and Vernazza. The first sight of Camogli will leave you speechless, and the town cannot not leave a lasting impression on everyone. Over the last few years this colorful seaside town has gained a lot of attention beyond the usual suspects like Manarola, Vernazza, Riomaggiore, best known as Cinque Terre. The town itself lies on a small bay with incredibly blue waters. A huge wall of colourful houses (something very typical in Liguria) stands over the black pebble beach. One of the best things to do in Camogli is to walk around the small marina and alleys, while tasting a slice of its signature focaccia, a delicious flatbread seasoned with olive oil and melted cheese. Or, perhaps, sit at one of the many cute restaurants for some trofie al pesto (a short and twisted pasta traditionally served with pesto) and a bottle of white wine. #camogli #liguria #italy #italytravel #italybeauties #awesomepic #beautifulpics #awesomepic
