The front desk staff upgraded our room for free. Hygiene: Our room was spotless, and the cleaning staff also serviced the room daily. Environment: The location is excellent. Straight out of the hotel, you'll find Qianmen, and it's also close to the subway station with plenty of great food options nearby. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive. Service: The service attitude was great; they were always helpful when we had issues. 😊

The facilities are very practical: the rooms are well-heated, and the hot water supply is stable, ensuring a comfortable night's rest. The service is attentive and thoughtful; front desk staff proactively helped with opening doors and carrying luggage, and provided warm ginger tea upon check-in. The lobby offers free fruits, snacks, and hot beverages all day, which is very convenient. They also thoughtfully display the daily flag-raising and lowering times at Tiananmen Square, which is very useful for tourists. Transportation is convenient, with Qianmen subway station just a 5-10 minute walk away, making it easy and time-saving to visit various attractions by metro. The breakfast selection is rich, even featuring Beijing specialty snacks like Douzhi (fermented mung bean milk) and Jiaoquan (fried dough rings) for those interested in trying local flavors. Overall, this is a distinctive hotel, perfect for travelers looking to experience the charm of old Beijing while enjoying comfortable and convenient accommodation. Highly recommended.

We booked three family rooms when my parents and my sister with her family came to visit us in China. Beijing was our first stop on our leg of showing the family around China. The hotel had arranged two rooms for us that we got straight away when we arrived in the morning, even though we got there very early, and we got the third room in the afternoon. The hotel’s location is very convenient, as it is close to the shopping street, shopping mall, restaurants, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The only thing that could be improved is the cleaning, since small details are overlooked during the cleaning process.

The location is fantastic, very convenient for transport. It's only about 100 meters from Chongwenmen subway station, and right below the hotel is New World Department Store, so shopping and dining are incredibly easy. The room itself is quite spacious, and I loved the color scheme. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, but it's still perfectly functional, and the hairdryer is surprisingly powerful!

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is excellent; it's right by the subway station, making it super convenient to get to attractions and shopping areas. The room was more spacious and brighter than I'd imagined, with a great view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the mini-bar had a wide selection of drinks, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the smart devices were very convenient. I especially want to commend the breakfast; there was a diverse selection of both Western and Chinese options, and the local specialty snacks were very authentic. At check-out, the front desk even proactively asked about my stay and helped me book a car to the airport. It offers incredible value for money and is definitely a top choice for both business trips and leisure travel. I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely stay here again next time I visit this city!

Value for money with basic standard amenities. I would like a bit more comfortable bed and an extra pillow but that is because I am a bit more fussy with sleep. Conveniently located for the temple of heaven. Close to Tiantandongmen station and Hongqiao market where you can go to the 5th floor and enjoy probably yhe best view in Beijing. Have only asked for some coffee but there was only complimentary jasmine tea so gave 5 for service but only requested something once. They left us extra water though which was greatly appreciated.

The hotel is located at the very back of Qianmen, very close to Zhushikou subway station, which is super convenient. They also offer luggage storage, so I was able to leave my bags there from check-out in the morning until 8 PM. The decor has a lovely Republic of China era style, but the room itself was quite small and the soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear either the next room or the hallway playing adult content, and also the sound of doors opening next door. They upgraded me to a room with a window, but the bathroom didn't have a wet/dry separation. Plus, there's a construction site downstairs, which was quite noisy during the day. There was also a strange smell in the bathroom that just wouldn't go away.

My stay at The Yard Beijing was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the hotel impressed me with its perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional Beijing charm. The courtyard style design creates a peaceful and intimate atmosphere, making it feel like a hidden oasis in the heart of the city. The location is also a big plus. conveniently situated near Qianmen street, yet tucked away enough to maintain a calm and relaxing environment

The facade isn't grand, but the rooms inside are surprisingly cozy with comfortable underfloor heating and smart controls. It's a very affordable and great-value little hotel right near home. The service is professional and friendly, and transportation nearby is convenient. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express over a decade ago, so this business trip was a bit of a return to familiar grounds. Compared to back then, the hotel's software and hardware have both been completely upgraded. When stacked against domestic business hotels of similar price points, Holiday Inn Express significantly outshines them in terms of room size, furniture, public areas, and breakfast offerings. Plus, this hotel is conveniently located in the city center (Qianmen, Tianqiao), making it super easy to get around and visit all the major attractions. The Temple of Agriculture (Ancient Architecture Museum of China) and Tianqiao Museum are also within walking distance and well worth a visit.
