Upon returning to my room, the strong odor of shoes and socks from the guest in the adjacent bed, coupled with continuous snoring, severely disrupted my sleep. I reported the situation to the front desk staff (a male with short hair) and asked if I could switch beds. He responded indifferently, saying, “You'll have to re-book, and that wouldn't be worth it for you,” and robotically repeated the rule: “No changes after 2 PM.” I explained that I had been a long-term guest and asked if an exception could be made, but he offered no solutions. Instead, he ended by asking, “What exactly is your request?” He maintained a poker face and a cold demeanor throughout, showing no sympathy for my predicament, almost as if he was taunting me. The staff's attitude was unyielding, like a robot, making it difficult to accept—very rude and unreasonable, a terrible check-in experience.
As it was late, to avoid further upsetting myself, I reluctantly returned to my room, but I couldn't sleep all night. The next day, I was exhausted, which severely impacted my work and travel plans.

I was addressed by my full name by a female staff member (without honorifics like “Mr.”), which immediately surprised me, as the service industry typically follows basic etiquette. Upon inquiring, I learned she was the store manager/director. I initially thought my concerns would finally be taken seriously, but she spent the entire conversation emphasizing the hotel's stance, explaining that the previous day's staff response, “You'll have to re-book, and that wouldn't be worth it for you,” was “for your consideration.” This logic was perplexing. During our discussion, she didn't reflect on any service oversights but repeatedly stressed, “If you want to change rooms, it must be done before 6 PM tonight.” By this point, a lot of time had passed since the incident, and arranging a room change had lost its practical meaning. The management's attitude was identical to that of the staff, so I decisively chose to end the conversation and check out.
