Top Hotels with Gyms in George Town

One of the oldest hotel along Gurney Drive but still among the best and cheapest in that area. Clean and friendly staff. Fair breakfast buffet spread. Free canned drinks and apples daily. Simply amazing hotel. We chose the seaview deluxe room and the view facing the bay was amazing. The new Gurney bay park is just in front of the hotel where you can jog and catch sunrise at the promenade. Evergreen Laurel is surely my favorite hotel in Georgetown and will come back here soon.

We brought our 2 kids along during this trip to penang and arrive earlier than the check in time but the management and staff give a nice hospitality to us and even gave us early check in and upgrade our room plus room near to hotel lift. We thanks to the hotel for the good services. Thumbs up and keep up the good work. We will definitely stay here if we go to penang again.

Location is great: food is available around within walking distance. Easily located by grab drivers, two malls within short distance. Room is spacious, fixtures clean n new Gym is well equipped; will return again

Good location near famous eateries at New Lane and Lorong Selamat 😋 Room was dimly lit and very basic… didn’t even have a sofa 😂 but everything was neat and clean.

Modern and comfortable room located right in the heart of the shopping cluster and beside attractions at The TOP, though it’s a slightly longer walk to the Kimberly Street and Chulia Street Night Markets, as well as the street art area around Armenian Street. Club benefits were decent and the host of the day was very friendly. Lounge was at full house during evening cocktails so do come early!

The hospitality so extraordinary. The staffs were very friendly and polite. Behaved very professionally too. Rooms were clean and comfortable as well. Loved everything about the place. As a birthday gift , they provided a slice of cheesecake too. Not to forget the wine as compensation .❤️❤️✨

Stayed here one night in family suites with 2 rooms with my 2 kids, the hotel is not far from Komtar penang. Parking is not an issue even for our MPV, their rotating car park with escalator can move the car into empty slot. Check-in is fast and we stayed at level 19th with nice city and some ocean view. Room is very big with a living room, master room with big washroom and changing cabinet, and another connecting room. Wifi is fast and there are 19 tv channels to choose from. Next morning we went for their gym at level 22, not very big but good enough with 5-6 workout machines. Breakfast is at level 21 buffet styles, choice is just nice, not many but food is ok with reasonable price, only RM21 per pax.

The location is great, walking distance to nearby mall & eateries. Room was spacious & decorated in luxurious style. Toilet was clean & equipped with bath tub which was a plus point for us. Love the breakfast spread that consisted of various nice food choices & the waitresses was very helpful especially to elderly. The only drawback was noise made by nearby hotel/ karaoke area at night. Overall, its worth the money i've paid.

I recently stayed at the Berjaya Hotel in Penang and found the experience to be a mix of comfort and inconvenience. The bed was notably comfortable, providing a good night's rest. However, my stay was marred by significant noise issues. It seemed like there was a lot of disturbance coming from the surrounding rooms, particularly when someone next door used water facilities. I suspect the main water compressor might be located near my room (2209), which contributed to the noise levels.The hotel, in general, shows signs of aging. While it maintains a classic charm, it would benefit greatly from refurbishment to enhance the overall guest experience. This update could really elevate the hotel to the standard one expects from a property in such a prime location.

Room was clean and comfy, toiletries were provided except bathrobe. Breakfast spread was huge and variety was great. Just the interior design is slightly dated and there are some funny dark corners in the hotel, but all is good! The staff are polite and service is great. My sister was panicking because she left her iPod at the gym and only remembered one day later. When we returned to the hotel to ask, we managed to claim it from the lost and found at the counter. We thought we lost it for good and was surprised we could get it back! Mr Ajib who was cleaning the gym had picked it up and returned it. We will really like to commend him for his honesty and kindness! We are also thankful to him!! It really goes to show that the staff are very honest people. Would recommend staying here if you want to be close to George Town, the UNESCO heritage area. Around 10 min walk to the Chew jetty and nearby shops and stores.
