This Dragon Boat Festival, I brought my family to Qingdao for a trip, and the hotel we stayed at was quite satisfactory. The room had central air conditioning, a refrigerator, a washing machine (with a dryer), and even a kitchen where we could cook. We bought seafood from a nearby farmers' market and borrowed pots and pans from the hotel to enjoy a delicious seafood feast. Food delivery was very convenient; the delivery person would drop it off downstairs, and a robot would bring it to our hotel door a few minutes later. The kids loved this novel experience and had a blast. When traveling with young children, comfort is key. Most hotels only offer a bedroom and a bathroom, but the rooms at Haiyi Hotel were spacious and made for a very comfortable stay.

I really loved the atmosphere here. The vintage British style and the rich coffee aroma were delightful, and every detail was meticulously arranged. They offer a self-service lunch buffet, and the dryer in the laundry room left my clothes wonderfully warm. It's been rainy and gloomy these past couple of days, so sitting in the spacious restaurant with a hot cup of coffee felt incredibly comforting. Overall, it was a great experience.

**Location & Value** Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark. **Rooms & Comfort** Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly. **Cleanliness Issues** This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle. **Breakfast & Food** Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot. **Service** Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself. **Condition & Maintenance** Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance. **Summary** Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues.

I spent five days in Qingdao, staying at two different sea-view hotels, but it wasn't until I checked into Meilun Meihuan that I truly understood what it meant to bring seaside romance into your room. This wasn't like those cookie-cutter, impersonal high-end hotels at all. The entire experience was relaxed and comfortable, which made me want to write a thorough and honest review. The hotel is right next to May Fourth Square, a quiet oasis hidden within the bustling city, which I absolutely loved. It’s a five or six-minute walk to the seaside boardwalk, and you don't need a taxi to explore MixC or check out the Olympic Sailing Center. Yet, once you close the door in your room, the street noise and tourist chatter completely disappear – the soundproofing is surprisingly excellent. I didn't have to jostle with crowds at sunset; I booked a high-floor sea-view room, and the enormous floor-to-ceiling window framed the entire Fushan Bay. My greatest joy became simply lounging on the sofa in my room and zoning out. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a faint golden glow on the sea; in the evening, the 'orange sea' slowly enveloped the sailboats, and at night, I watched the light show from bed – the shimmering water paired with neon lights created an amazing ambiance that didn't even need a filter for photos. The overall decor is a cool, soft, German light luxury style, without any ostentatious embellishments. It’s all about the details that appeal to those who appreciate them. The lobby has high, open ceilings, with wave-patterned reliefs on the walls and glass seagull ornaments hanging from the ceiling, complemented by a piano in the corner. It's quiet and artistic, making you slow your pace as you walk through. The guest rooms are spacious, with simple, clean-lined furniture and carpets subtly featuring wave patterns, giving no sense of being cramped or oppressive. The mattress is medium-firm, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing; every night, I'd lie down and feel the fatigue melt away instantly. The smart home controls throughout the room allow you to switch to a sea-view lighting mode with a single tap – a lazy person's dream come true. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries have a subtle, premium scent. Soaking in the view-bathtub while gazing at the sea was the most therapeutic part of my trip. The housekeeping staff were incredibly meticulous; the window sills were spotless, and there was no dust on the corners of the tables. Supplies were replenished promptly every day. What truly impressed me was the just-right service – not overly enthusiastic to the point of awkwardness, but always prompt to respond to any request. Nathsn and Xiao Yang at check-in proactively shared some local hidden seafood spots and told me the best time to catch the sunset. When my takeout order was too heavy and I didn't want to go downstairs, the smart robot delivered it directly to my door, ensuring maximum privacy. One day, I casually mentioned my skin felt dry from the sea breeze, and shortly after, a hand cream was delivered. This kind of understated thoughtfulness is far more heartwarming than standard, polite greetings. The 24th-floor sky-high gym offers an incredible view; working out facing the ocean makes even running less monotonous. The breakfast buffet has a rich selection, not just Western pastries, but also authentic local seafood porridge and specialty potstickers, catering to various tastes. The mini-bar is well-stocked, and with the complimentary local snacks, it was perfect for late-night binge-watching. Compared to many other sea-view hotels in Qingdao, this one stands out for its balance. It has the quality hardware of a high-end hotel, yet it also has a relaxed and gentle, down-to-earth charm. There's no need to rush to check off attractions; simply staying in the room, gazing at the sea, and unwinding is enough to cure travel fatigue. The next time I visit Qingdao, I won't bother looking for other accommodations; I'll book Meilun Meihuan directly. I sincerely recommend it to travelers who prefer a quiet ambiance over crowded places.

I stayed at this hotel in Nanjing three years ago, and surprisingly, I found it again in Qingdao. I arrived quite late, but I had contacted them a day in advance, and the front desk staff was incredibly attentive and helped me secure a room. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to major shopping malls, making dining and shopping very convenient. The underground parking has plenty of spaces. The room was large and spacious, equipped with a TV, projector, tea bar, and refrigerator. The laundry facilities were also comprehensive. The view from the 27th floor was great. I wasn't feeling well, and the hotel even sent up a thermometer. The price was fantastic, the service was meticulous, and the amenities were complete. Highly recommend!

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. The shower has great water pressure, making for a comfortable wash. All the basic room amenities are provided. Cleanliness: The room was spotless. They even tidied up the bed and folded my pants, which was a very thoughtful touch. Environment: The hotel's decor is grand and impressive. The swimming pool is large and heated, and the gym is conveniently located next door with plenty of equipment. Service: The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, showcasing the brand's friendly approach. [Le Meridien Courtesy] Unlimited Freshly Ground Coffee: The coffee was decent, standard Americano fare, but it lacked a bit in aroma.

The first time I came to Qingdao, I made a special trip to run a marathon. The hotel is very close to Metro Line 3 and Line 4. Go out at 6 o'clock in the morning and go to the 3rd line. It is about 1.8 kilometers away. It happens to take the first subway at 6:20, take 4 stops and get off at May Fourth Square Station. You can also walk to Hongshanpo (Women's Hospital) Station Take Metro Line 4, take 2 stops to Kuoqiling Station, and transfer to Line 3, so you can walk 1 km less. The front desk of the hotel heard that it was coming to run a marathon, and immediately agreed to delay check-out until 14 o'clock.

This hotel's self-service laundry room is incredibly practical. Combined with the warm front desk service, spacious multi-functional lobby, and well-equipped gym, the comprehensive amenities make it an excellent choice for any trip. We were traveling as a family this time, and the hotel upgraded our room, which we really appreciated. There's a beautiful staircase right next to the building, and plenty of great food options nearby, making it super convenient to get around.

Overall it was an okay experience. The studio is small and was not perfectly cleaned, there were some visible hairs on the tiles in the bathroom for example, some dust in the kitchen and stains in the mirror. The bed was extremely hard to the point that after a couple of nights we always woke up we back pain. The staff is friendly and the lady organised an extra chair for us in the studio which was convenient for working. Also the fridge was not working and we were delivered a new fridge, that was amazing. But yeah, the place definitely needs to be better cleaned and maybe even renovated.

When I checked out, they gave me a little gift like a fridge magnet. The value for money here is insane! Plus, the environment is great, it's clean, and the soundproofing is pretty good too.

MM60517****Hotel location is very good, very close to the subway station, there are many places to eat at the entrance of the hotel, and there is a Jiajiayue. The front desk staff is very warm and the service is very good. There is unlimited mineral water in the lobby. It provides two kinds of constant temperature and temperature. Coffee can also be drunk for free 24 hours. Not only water and coffee, there are many daily necessities in the lobby that can be used for free, so intimate. Before I came, I was worried that the room would be colder, but I didn't expect the warm air to be very powerful. Next time I come to Qingdao, I will choose this hotel.
