Hotels in Eight Great Passes/No.1 Bathing Beach, Qingdao

The hotel room (we chose a sea-view room) opened right onto Zhanqiao Pier, with lots of street food stalls just below. It's within walking distance to Qingdao's main attractions, including the German architectural complex, the railway station, and the Naval Museum, which was super convenient. For the subway, you can easily walk to Qingdao Station. They delivered milk to our room every day, and the overall service was pretty good. The hotel might be a bit older, so the facilities aren't the newest, but it didn't affect our stay. Breakfast was quite basic; we tried it one day but skipped it the next.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Elaine for upgrading us to a Deluxe Seaview Suite! The hotel is situated along Qingdao's Golden Coastline, offering an unbeatable environment. From the room, you can enjoy breathtaking ocean views and the sound of waves, taking in the magnificent scenery. Transportation is also incredibly convenient; you can walk to May Fourth Square and Badaguan. The hotel staff provides professional and attentive service, and the breakfast spread is diverse, allowing you to enjoy the view while you eat. The room decor and furnishings are exquisite, truly living up to its reputation as a scenic hotel. Highly recommended!

I am writing this letter specifically to express my sincerest gratitude to your hotel and to Mr./Ms. Xu, the cleaner who demonstrated remarkable integrity. Today, after checking out from your esteemed hotel, I unfortunately left my mobile phone in the public restroom. My phone contains a large amount of personal data, work documents, and important life information, making it extremely crucial to me. Upon realizing my phone was missing, I was incredibly anxious and immediately rushed back to the hotel to search for it. Thankfully, my phone was found in time by Mr./Ms. Xu, a cleaner at your hotel. After finding the lost phone, Mr./Ms. Xu didn't hesitate for a moment, immediately took good care of it and handed it over to the hotel front desk. Their thoroughness, responsibility, and meticulousness throughout the process ensured my phone was returned to me safe and sound, and I was overjoyed to get it back. After retrieving my phone, I was filled with gratitude and specifically wanted to thank Mr./Ms. Xu for their kindness and help by offering a red packet. However, Mr./Ms. Xu genuinely declined it. Their actions—selflessly refusing a reward, demonstrating genuine kindness, not seeking fame or profit, and upholding their principles—deeply touched me. While picking up lost property and returning it may seem like a small matter, it fully showcases Mr./Ms. Xu's noble personal character and excellent professionalism. Beier Hotel, which is the tall building behind Westin Qingdao and just above May Fourth Metro Station Exit E. The serviced apartment I booked came with 2 double beds and a washing machine cum dryer. However, the decor and furniture were a bit dated, and the central air-con was set with moderate cool air and was switched off at night. This is a common feature in newer high-rise buildings in Qingdao because the weather is cold at night with a small window open. Full air-con is switched on for the whole building during summer. I requested for 2 standing fans during the booking but they provided 1 standing fan which took a long time to start and worked for the first night only Staff is professional and friendly and would do their best to meet our needs. Best guotie about 300m from this serviced apartment for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The huge MixC Mall is just above May Fourth Metro Station Exit B.

The hotel facilities are complete and clean. It's located in a residential area right next to the beach, and the Third Bathing Beach is just next door. You can also enjoy Qingdao's night view from the rooftop platform. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

An absolutely delightful stay! First off, the location is unbeatable – First Bathing Beach is right downstairs, and it's super convenient to get to Badaguan and the old city, offering a perfect blend of lively and quiet. Secondly, both the sea and city views are incredible; you can watch the ocean from your bed, plus there's a sea-view balcony and a revolving restaurant on the top floor. What's more, the service is professional, warm, and attentive – they're always ready to help. The overall decor is grand, elegant, and spotless; any minor signs of age are completely overshadowed by its charm. All in all, it's great value for money. When I visit Qingdao again, I'll definitely choose Huiquan Hotel.

This was my first time choosing an Atour Hotel, and I was a bit worried after seeing many reviews online mentioning this particular one was old. However, after checking in, I found it perfectly acceptable – not as old as I imagined. There were some minor signs of wear and tear in the decor, but overall, it was a comfortable stay. The hotel is right outside the Yan'an 3rd Road Metro Station exit, just a couple of steps away. Next door, there's a 7-11, Youke, and Luckin Coffee, which is incredibly convenient. The front desk had several young staff members, all very friendly, and they offered parcel collection services. I booked a Jǐmù twin room, which was very spacious. There was a large area in front of the sofa, enough to open three large suitcases with plenty of room to move around. My only minor complaint would be that the room only had one small table and one chair, making it difficult to set out multiple takeout meals or dine together comfortably. They restocked four bottles of mineral water, two bottles of their brand's tea, and one Coke every day, which I really appreciated because the tea was delicious. Room hygiene was decent, although the toilet was a bit old with some marks, and the toilet seat had lost its soft-close function, often slamming shut with a bang. However, these were all acceptable. For us, the price matched the quality. The only real inconvenience in the room was that the bathroom and toilet shared a single sliding door. This meant that when you closed the bathroom, the toilet was open, and vice versa. If someone was using the toilet, no one else could shower simultaneously because there was no separate door to close. This was not ideal when staying with a friend. Furthermore, this door couldn't be locked from the inside, so we were constantly on edge when showering or using the toilet, fearing someone might carelessly open it. The cleaning auntie had a great attitude. The only issue was on the third day when we returned to find the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned (only dirty towels and trash were removed), and our used bath towels weren't replaced with clean ones (later, the cleaning auntie told me she wasn't working that day, so it was likely an oversight by the substitute). After she found out, the room was cleaned meticulously every day afterward, and she always provided a sufficient number of fresh bath towels and hand towels. We requested a crib. During our 7-night stay, one night, my child's diaper leaked and stained the crib bedding and sheet. We informed the front desk, and they promptly replaced the entire set of crib bedding, which was very satisfying. Breakfast at the hotel was abundant with a wide variety of choices and very delicious. The shrimp, in particular, was large and fresh, and the braised duck wings and feet were also excellent. They had freshly cooked noodles, as well as freshly fried eggs and dumplings. The only minor negative was that the staff member clearing tables had a somewhat brusque attitude and loud movements. These minor shortcomings are negligible, and I would still highly recommend staying here. If I have the chance, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. In fact, because of this positive experience, I will prioritize Atour Hotels when traveling to other cities in the future. A special thanks to the front desk lady who assisted me on my check-in day!

The facilities are new and very clean, the service is excellent, and the location is good. It's a great value for money option, especially for students.

An excellent experience! This hotel boasts a unique blend of German and Chinese architectural styles. They offer complimentary coffee and drinks, and the front desk kindly upgraded my room for free. The soy milk at breakfast was delicious, and the bartender was very enthusiastic, even bringing me a cappuccino before I left. It's very close to Zhanqiao Pier, and Zhongshan Road is lined with shops. You can easily catch a taxi just a hundred meters or so away, making it very convenient. The hotel is also in the process of applying for intangible cultural heritage status. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Qingdao!

Facilities: The room facilities are complete, very clean and tidy. The shower and hairdryer both work well. Service: Housekeeping was very thorough and they proactively offered slippers and toothbrushes for children. Location: The transportation is very convenient, and the parking is free. The location is great, only a 10-minute walk to MixC Shopping Mall. Suggestion: I recommend improving the coffee machine, as the coffee wasn't very good.
