Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square)
"The hotel's location is excellent, conveniently close to the subway for easy travel. It's just a ten-minute walk to MixC shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's also a twenty-minute walk to May Fourth Square. However, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear conversations from the next room. The triple room is spacious, but the cleaning wasn't very thorough and could be improved. There's no iron or ironing board in the room. The hotel breakfast is mediocre with a limited variety of fruits. On the day of check-in, our room wasn't ready, so we had to wait for almost an hour, only getting our room key close to 3 PM."

"My parents used to bring me to Zhongshan Road often to eat grilled meat skewers and drink Qingdao's old yogurt when I was a child. Now, I want to bring my own kids to experience it. I found the Qingting Courtyard Hotel online and was told not to get a street-facing room. When I arrived, I realized the family rooms are all street-facing, but it wasn't noisy at all. It was very clean and thoughtful, with a lovely little courtyard. The laundry and drying facilities were also very convenient. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, and the location is super convenient. Highly recommended! I'm even planning to bring my parents here to stay in a couple of days. ✌✌"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, with stunning surroundings. The taxi driver told me it's a high-end villa district in the city center, and I was thrilled to have found such a great spot. We had brilliant sunny weather during our stay – the sky was crystal clear, and the sea sparkled beautifully. I even caught the sunrise from my room in the morning; the video and first three photos were taken right there. The villa complex itself is picturesque and peaceful, and you can also watch the sunset from there; the fourth photo was taken within the complex. The remaining pictures show the scenery from the wooden boardwalk next to the complex entrance. The hotel is very close to Wheat Island (Xiao Mai Dao) and Swallow Island (Yan'er Dao), both just about a 10-minute walk away. Transportation here is also very convenient, so nothing feels too far. The front desk staff were all warm, polite, and the room was kept immaculately clean. This stay left a wonderful impression on my trip to Qingdao. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely be back if I get the chance!"

It's within a few kilometers of all the attractions, about a 20-30 minute ride, which is great and worth recommending! "We booked a family room, which was quite spacious and even had a balcony. The hotel shares its garden and pool with the Hilton, but unfortunately, it was pouring rain that day, so we couldn't enjoy them. We didn't go out, just stayed at the hotel, switching between restaurants, and it wasn't boring at all. Right across from the hotel is Golden Beach."
Sheraton Qingdao Licang Hotel (North Station Branch)
"I'm a returning guest, and the hotel's service is consistently excellent! The hotel's location is still superb, with many restaurants nearby and the Lida Supermarket. It's also very close to Wanda Plaza and Licun Night Market. The hotel lobby is grandly decorated, with soothing music and vibrant floral arrangements, especially the beautiful Phalaenopsis orchids. The bellboys are all very enthusiastic and proactive in helping with luggage. The front desk service is even better; they remember returning guests' preferences and prepare rooms in advance. Check-in was efficient and professional. My room was upgraded to a high-floor lake view room, which was very spacious with beautiful views from the large floor-to-ceiling windows. The room was very quiet. The bedding was super comfortable. Breakfast was quite international with a rich variety, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a special section dedicated to Qingdao specialties. The hotel also has a steam room and sauna, as well as a large, clean, heated swimming pool. I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance."

"The location is fantastic, with direct stair access from the hotel to the beach. The pool is beautiful, and dining on the terrace while watching the sunset was simply amazing. They even prepared thoughtful little gifts, which shows great attention to detail. Breakfast was also extensive, with three excellent choices. The butler service was spot-on, and the toiletries were from a high-end brand with a lovely scent. 👍"

"The hotel facilities are old, but that is not the key point. The key point is that there are some small traps set for the guests: water in the room is charged (but the price is not marked), water in the corridor is free, and the guest did not notice it until after checking out. After checking out, the hotel specifically called the guest to ask for the cost of a bottle of water. I stayed in several hotels in Qingdao, but this one was the only weird one!"

"We recently stayed at this resort and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is just outside the city, about a 40-minute drive, and the drive there is beautiful. The resort was also very easy to find. Check-in was simple and smooth, and the staff were excellent throughout our stay—friendly, helpful, and quick to assist whenever needed. The room was large and clean, although it does show some signs of age. The hot springs, pool, and slides were a lot of fun and were kept clean, which we really appreciated. That said, some areas, especially the roof and floor surfaces, also show visible signs of aging and could use some maintenance. Our room did not have coffee or tea available when we arrived, but the staff provided it very quickly after we asked, which was great service. Breakfast was average, but for only a slightly higher price, it is worth including with your stay for the convenience. Overall, this is a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay, especially if you are looking for a getaway just outside the city."
