"Woke up to the gentle sound of waves in the morning, with a 180° floor-to-ceiling window facing the Olympic Sailing Center's white sails! The family room came with beachcombing tools and picture books, and the Tsingtao beer at the rooftop bar was excellent!"

"This was my first time in Qingdao, and I was there for a marathon. The hotel's location wasn't super close to the starting line, but not too far either, just three subway stops away, which was pretty convenient. The room was very quiet and quite spacious, and most importantly, the bedding was really comfortable, so I got a great night's sleep. The next day, I even set a new personal best on a course with 26 hills! They also gave me a small gift when I checked out, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Qingdao."

"Qingdao Travel Super recommend Blue Whale Bay Hotel! The location is excellent, walking distance to May Fourth Square, Vientiane City, double subway exit, super convenient to the trestle bridge and Olympic Sailing Center. Newly renovated in 2024, the facilities are brand new and clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bedding is soft, and the soundproofing is good. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the spare parts are complete. The service is warm and intimate, the front desk actively recommends the play guide, and the robot is super convenient to deliver goods. The supporting facilities are complete, free gym, self-service laundry room, parking are all equipped. The single-family courtyard is quiet and safe. The breakfast is rich, the price is super high, the parent-child, business, vacation are suitable, next time you come to Qingdao to live here!"

"The cleanliness was just okay. We stayed in Guanlan, and the living room and kitchen were fairly clean. However, the drain in the bathroom of the only twin room had a strong odor, which could still be smelled even with the door closed! The other three rooms were quite small. The living room was the best part, very spacious, but the bedrooms were lacking, essentially just a bed and nothing else. And that twin room with a bathroom smelled really bad 😓. The location was good, right in the city center, and food delivery could come straight up to the apartment, which was convenient – definitely a highlight. In the morning, you could see the May Fourth Square buildings. From one side of the living room, you could catch a glimpse of the sea, though it was a somewhat limited view. Still, all the rooms offered some kind of view. We arrived at 11 PM, and the housekeeper was still there, thoughtfully showing us to our room, which was much appreciated. Anything we needed, we could just message via WeChat, and it would be delivered! Plus, parking was 5 yuan an hour, with a cap of 25 yuan. Overall, it was neither particularly good nor bad. Since we were traveling with pets, we could only book a homestay, but I probably wouldn't consider staying here again next time."

"I didn't give a bad review because the service was okay, but they assigned me a room right next to the elevator. I figured it was just for one night, so it was fine. However, the room next to the elevator was really noisy, and some kid kept ringing the doorbell. Everyone walking by could hear each other talking. The other facilities were the same, and Atour is generally reliable, but this was quite frustrating. They should have had plenty of rooms available, yet they assigned me this room. I usually give five-star reviews, but this time I'll let it slide. The breakfast was pretty good, in my opinion."
