Qingdao Hostels

I had a flight with an overnight layover in Qingdao, so I opted to stay locally in a hotel. 'Locally' meant riding two stops on the subway, and catching the bus for two stops which altogether cost me less than £1. Probably about $1 US, or €1. However, I had to wait a while for the bus, so it took me about an hour. Upon arrival, the landlord treated me like a king and was exceptionally helpful. I can speak Chinese, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless people can speak a little Chinese and can read basic sentences. The hotel is fairly basic but, as I said, the proprietors are extremely accommodating and told me to ask if I needed anything. The landlord showed me where to eat locally (and physically took me there!) and when I left, he showed me where the nearest bus stop is (photo). I couldn't make the hot water work for a shower, but had I asked I'm sure they would have sorted it. I was in a bit of a rush in the morning and I didn't want to make a fuss. The bed was hard (like I Chinese prefer) but I slept well. There was no kettle in the room, but boiling water was provided. The area is out in the country, so if you want to see how ordinary Chinese live, this is a good opportunity. City hotels are quite westernised but this place is authentic Chinese. Pictures are of the bus stop and the subway station. Although I was told that a taxi might only cost me a little over a pound.

Staying in this vintage old villa was a treat! The room window offered this amazing view: old houses with red tile roofs, peeking through green trees, with the sea visible in the distance. The clouds at dawn and dusk were incredibly beautiful, really setting the mood. The old villa has its unique retro charm, yet it's kept so clean and comfortable, with thoughtful details everywhere. The location is superb, within walking distance to the beach and Lu Xun Park, and the vibrant atmosphere of the old town is just around the corner. It's peaceful and quiet, a true oasis amidst the bustle. Sitting by the window, watching the clouds and the sea, just daydreaming, was the most therapeutic part of my Qingdao trip. The service was attentive and thoughtful. It's perfect for anyone who wants to experience the charm of Qingdao's old town. I'll definitely choose this place again next time! 👍

Come to Laixi for a business trip, the hotel location is very good, parking is convenient, the front desk service is warm, the room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, the overall experience is very good, praise.

The boss is super nice. He changed a room for me when I got off the plane in the early morning and there were no rooms available. The environment is good and the price is cheap. Good review! !

The hotel is generally decent, with a convenient location and complete infrastructure. Room cleanliness is acceptable and meets basic daily needs. Some details could be improved, but service is average, and overall, it offers good value for money.

The most perfect stay: calm environment, everything was clean. Very kind English-speaking owner was present all the time. Complete amenities, near a bus stop and Line 3 metro. Just the wifi could be a bit stronger...

The room was immaculately clean, with daily sweeping and mopping. It had a light fragrance. It's very close to Golden Beach, a 20-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop just a few minutes' walk away for trips to Yinshatan and Yumingzui Village. The neighborhood is quiet and uncrowded. The owner was very welcoming. 👍 The price didn't increase much during the holidays, which was a great bonus. 👍

The front desk was upgraded for free. The triple room was small, but the price was affordable. It was not unacceptable. It only took 20 minutes to walk from Qingdao North Railway Station and 20 minutes to walk from Qingdao North Railway Station's famous car overpass. The overall traffic location is good, the living experience is in line with the price

The room is very clean, intelligent, relatively novel, 24 hours hot water, convenient transportation, the boss service attitude is very good, will visit next time.
