GGuest UserThe room amenities were great, and laundry was convenient. The only downside was that the dryers were often in use, but luckily, the room had a dehumidifier. Hanging clothes in the bathroom with the dehumidifier running overnight worked wonders. My kids got several outfits dirty each day playing in the sand, and I was able to wash them all promptly. Breakfast was more Western-style and healthy. The adjacent music restaurant was fantastic; we ate dinner there four nights in a row, and both the Western and Chinese dishes were excellent. The children's toiletries and slippers were good quality, and the room came with pour-over coffee equipment and beans, plus a bed rail for the little one. You could really tell they paid attention to the details. The only slight drawback was the loud music program on Saturday night, with the speakers pointed directly at our room – it was too noisy. If you're staying over a weekend, definitely ask for an odd-numbered room to avoid the noise.

GGuest UserThe Mandarin Hotel is located on Starlight Island in the West Coast New Area, surrounded by the sea and boasting stunning island scenery. As soon as you arrive, you can feel a sense of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The sea breeze creates a wonderful vacation vibe. However, there was an entertainment event on the island that day, so it was incredibly crowded.
Stepping into the hotel lobby, the elegant and grand design perfectly blends with marine elements. The glass dome and crystal chandeliers complement each other beautifully. What impressed me most was the self-playing piano in the lobby; its melodious tunes flowed under the dome, adding an artistic touch to the entire space and instantly washing away any travel fatigue.
My business twin room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking panoramic sea views. Drawing back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by the magnificent sight of the sunrise over the ocean. The room was well-equipped, the bedding was comfortable, and every detail showcased quality.
The hotel's amenities are excellent. The complimentary indoor pool has clear, well-maintained water and is a good size. It's very well-regulated; you need a swimming cap to use it, and there's also a sauna and hot spring. The gym is fully equipped, and in addition to exercise machines, there's a table tennis room and an aerobics room. The hotel garden is charming, with European-style stone carvings adding a unique flair. Just outside, there's a seaside boardwalk, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Parking and EV charging were very convenient, and the staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making my entire stay, from check-in to check-out, feel incredibly welcoming.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located on Xingguang Island in Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis. The facilities are great, and the lobby manager was incredibly attentive and helpful, even assisting me in connecting my iPad to the Wi-Fi.
The surrounding area is excellent for taking photos, but the dining options leave a bit to be desired. The hotel breakfast was just passable, and I couldn't even get a bowl of noodles for dinner. I waited ages for my order to arrive and eventually gave up – guess it was an unplanned diet!
The bar street outside was also pretty deserted at night. I imagine it only gets lively during the summer beer festival or holidays.
It's a good spot for families with kids, though, as there are plenty of parent-child activities.

Right next to the terminal, with a direct elevator access. I timed it, and it's a 9-minute walk, which is very convenient. It would be perfect if they had a shuttle bus, as carrying heavy bags for 9 minutes can be a bit tiring.
Room View:
The view is, well, the airplane runway, haha.
Room Amenities:
Everything you need is there, and they even provided complimentary Qingdao specialty drinks, which was a nice touch. The only minor complaint is that the shower gel provided was a bit stingy, just enough for one shower. Definitely not enough for a bath (and I don't like using bath salts).
Service:
The Shandong ladies are all so tall! Great genes! 👍 They're good-looking, speak softly, and have a very friendly demeanor. Service gets full marks! 💯
Value for Money:
If they had a shuttle bus, the value for money would be perfect.
Breakfast:
Looks abundant, mostly carbs, and the taste was average.
WiFi:
The signal in the bathroom was a bit weak, but it was fine elsewhere.
Cleanliness:
Decent.

KKelvinTraveling with my child, I booked a king-sized bed room and was worried about the space, but the front desk upgraded us to a family-themed room, which was incredibly thoughtful! The upgraded room was a wonderful surprise, complete with a B.Duck themed tent, a Ludo game rug, and cartoon pillows. My child had a blast as soon as we entered, and all our travel fatigue instantly disappeared. The room had excellent natural light, with warm sunshine streaming through the large French windows. The wooden floor was warm and comfortable, allowing adults to relax and children to play without bothering each other.
The hotel lobby is grand and elegant, and there's also a 'Bird Club' kids' play area with slides and rocking horses, making it super convenient for parents to relax while their kids play. Molly, a staff member, provided smiling service throughout, and check-in was efficient and patient, full of care in every detail. This hotel is my top choice for family trips; the proactive and warm gesture of upgrading our room was a huge plus. I highly recommend it to families visiting Qingdao with children!

JJintongyunv959121. The hotel's location is excellent: it's about 1 km from the Olympic Sailing Center, and there's a subway station very close by, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also many dining options around the hotel, allowing us to try different cuisines every day.
2. We were upgraded to a sea-view room. Although the room was a bit old, the cleanliness was good. The bedding was very comfortable, which greatly improved my sleep. The service from the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff was all excellent.
3. I have a small suggestion regarding the dining: We checked out at 6:30 AM, just as the restaurant was opening. Since we were in a hurry, we asked the restaurant to pack some breakfast for us to take away. What disappointed me was that, despite the restaurant supervisor mentioning a standard packing procedure during our prior conversation, we ended up with two croissants and two Danish pastries, unwrapped, in a paper bag. I think this standard is too low. At the very least, they should have been put in a food-safe bag to separate them from the paper. This was the only small letdown during our stay.

WWangdapiaoliangzhiyuanyuanThe room was great, with brand new facilities. The staff were very polite and checked me in quickly, which I really appreciated. I particularly loved the amazing air quality around the hotel, full of negative ions, and I could smell the fresh scent of trees. It truly felt like a retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. Just over 100 meters to the east is Baiguoshan Forest Park, and about 80 meters away is Qingyayuan, a fantastic place for wood-fired chicken soup.

GGuest UserBearing the Crowne Plaza name, it once must have been glorious. My first stay here was a huge disappointment. The beach near the hotel is truly mediocre. The outdoor family pool is out of service, the Ferris wheel isn't operating, and the surrounding environment is completely different from what I saw in the online videos – a classic case of expectation vs. reality. Breakfast is served one floor below the lobby, and there's no direct elevator access, which is inconvenient for older guests. I had to ask a staff member who led us through a long, disused section of the restaurant, opened a door, took us to an elevator in Zone A to the second-floor lobby, and then we had to walk back to Zone B to catch another elevator. The breakfast selection was extensive, but the taste wasn't up to 4-star standards. The staff were all very nice, but the management is nowhere near 5-star hotel quality. I understand that with lower prices, there are more guests, and they need to cut costs. I definitely won't be returning for a second visit.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel boasts a luxurious and upscale design, and the butler service was exceptional. We booked a cloud-view room, and the view outside was fantastic. The only minor drawback was the room layout, which felt a bit cramped and not very open. The breakfast buffet had a great ambiance and offered a rich variety of high-quality dishes. It wasn't one of those buffets that looks fancy but leaves you wondering what to eat; the food stations and customer flow were very well-organized. The Eggs Benedict were particularly delicious. All the soft drinks and snacks in the room were complimentary, and the book about Bloody Marys was quite interesting. I would definitely consider staying here again if the prices are more attractive during the off-peak season.
