I chose to visit Qingdao because of a hotel – I was so captivated by the Beer Time Hotel that it became my reason for coming here. This trip was a family outing with my mother, and we stayed in the full sea-view suite that had initially caught my eye. I absolutely loved the design of this room type. From the living room, the bar, the bathroom, and the full sea-view balcony directly facing the ocean, every design detail won me over. My visit to Qingdao was solely for this hotel, so naturally, the experience was undeniably excellent. Of course, what I loved most and found most interesting was that the hotel placed two beer taps in the room. You could just turn on the taps at the bar and in the bathing area to pour fresh beer. It was incredibly novel and fun. The beer was very fresh, with a shelf life of only 24 hours. There was so much of it that you could keep pouring and never finish it – a joy that can only be understood by experiencing it yourself. Qingdao truly embodies its beer culture in every single detail. The beer in the bathing area was grapefruit-flavored, sweet and sour and delicious, and there were even beer hop bath bombs. The entire room was full of beer-themed elements, which was super thoughtful. The hotel is located at Golden Beach in Huangdao District, which is the main venue for the Qingdao Beer Festival. You can walk to the large beer tent in just a few steps, so the location is uniquely excellent. The hotel service was also exceptional. First, we received three welcome drinks, complimentary beer ice cream, and unlimited drinks at the bar on the first floor. They also gave guests many discount coupons. These hidden perks were like grand surprises, multiplying the enjoyment of our stay. For example, the two free beer coupons and the 50 RMB gift coupon for the Hapi Duck Trendy Toy Store were genuinely free – no strings attached. For the toy store, you could simply pick up 50 RMB worth of items, not one of those deals where you have to spend 199 or 299 RMB first to get 50 RMB off. It was a genuine 50 RMB voucher for goods, truly honest. But what I want to highly, highly praise are the three complimentary professional photo shoot services provided by the hotel. Honestly, I initially felt indifferent about such photography services and didn't pay much attention to them. We have our own professional equipment, and I have very high standards for photos. Because we travel and take photos frequently, I've managed to train my husband to a pretty professional level among amateurs. So, I even thought the photo shoot might be a bit time-consuming and that it wouldn't matter if we canceled it due to time constraints. But! Who! Knew! This travel shoot ended up producing some of the best photos of our lives. There were virtually no bad shots; every single one was perfect. I loved them so, so much. All 37 photos left both my mother and me full of praise. At 10:30 AM, under the bright sun, I didn't think good photos were possible, but the results were unexpectedly excellent. On the rooftop, the red-roofed houses, the coastline, and our smiling faces were captured in each frame. The photographer was a young man; I forgot to ask his name, but he was exceptionally good at taking photos and guiding our poses. I was stunned when I saw the final pictures. This travel photography service should definitely be continued – it left us with wonderful memories of our entire Qingdao trip and immortalized all the beautiful moments. A very special thank you. It's a modern replica of an ancient town, I guess. The room layout is pretty standard. The hallway from the front desk to the rooms is really dark, day and night. It's a bit spooky walking alone at night – couldn't they make the hallway lights brighter? Plus, there's not much to do nearby. The 'ancient town' is practically deserted during the day, and it doesn't get much livelier at night either. ╭(╯ε╰)╮

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel, as the decor, service, and dining all offered exceptional value for money. Upon arrival, the welcoming receptionist kindly upgraded me to a generous room. To my pleasant surprise, the hotel also provided complimentary welcome amenities, including beer, soft drinks, and fresh fruit. seasonal fruit. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with convenient smart-room controls. Additionally, the personalized housekeeping service managed via WeChat was both attentive and highly efficient. The daily buffet breakfast and evening light bites were equally impressive and delicious. However, I did encounter a couple of drawbacks: Location: As a non-driver, the hotel's location proved somewhat inconvenient, requiring me to rely entirely on taxis to get around. Smoking Policy: I was concerned to see guests smoking in common areas, particularly while waiting for the elevators. This inevitably forced fellow guests and staff to inhale secondhand smoke. Furthermore, placing large ashtray stands beside the elevator banks on every floor implicitly encourages this behavior. I strongly encourage the management to consider implementing a smoke-free policy in all indoor public spaces for the health and well-being of both guests and staff.

The room decor was exactly to my taste, a bit vintage, especially the small details like the bedside lamps – they really added to the emotional value of the trip. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's not far from the main attractions and easily accessible by public transport. This was perfect for us, as we love to experience slow travel using buses. I especially want to mention the staff member REYA, who was patient and enthusiastic. Everyone appreciates feeling cared for when they're away from home.

The room faced the sea with a fantastic view, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. 👍 I was traveling with my mother and child, and the hotel upgraded our room type, which was very much appreciated! The hotel's dinner buffet offered great value for money! The seafood was fresh and there was a wide variety, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel's buffet for 3 consecutive nights. It was so convenient not having to stress about finding a restaurant. The hotel's backyard connects to a seaside promenade, perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, we saw many people fishing, catching huge mantis shrimp and blue crabs. It was wonderful to enjoy fresh seafood right by the ocean!

The hotel is nowhere near as luxurious as the pictures suggest. It looks quite old in person, even for a relatively new hotel. It has a very dated feel. All of the deluxe king rooms are located near the runway, and the sound of planes taking off is incredibly loud. There's no way you'd get any sleep at night. I eventually asked the front desk to change my room to a twin room on the terminal side, which was much quieter. The layout and size of the twin room were quite suitable. Although the hotel has a dedicated tunnel connecting directly to the airport, it's a very long walk, about 10-15 minutes. Personally, I don't think the deluxe king room is worth over 400 yuan at all. The room felt cramped and old, and the bedding had a smell, possibly of disinfectant.

This stay far exceeded my expectations. As I opened the door, the curtains automatically drew open, letting sunlight flood the room and instantly melting away my travel fatigue. The bedding was so comfortable, perfect for sleeping naked, ensuring a good night's rest. The attention to detail was exceptional, making it worth a special trip to stay here. The hotel staff were all very warm and welcoming. A very satisfying stay experience.

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean, the environment was quiet, and I had a great rest. The hotel's location is quite convenient, and the lobby is comfortably decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The room had good natural light, and the bedding was clean, so I slept very soundly at night. The bathroom was spotless, and the hot water was consistent. The soundproofing was decent; I barely heard any noise. I particularly want to commend the housekeepers April, Kayla, and Yuki. April was quick and friendly during check-in. I contacted Kayla a few times during my stay, and her responses were always prompt, and she resolved issues efficiently. Yuki would greet me in the hallway, which felt very welcoming. My stay was very smooth. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in the area.

This hotel is located in Huangdao District, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for guests who prefer a quieter environment without large crowds. The indoor pool is spacious and well-lit, with depths ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 meters, which is great for families and those learning to swim. The beach is a mere 3-minute walk away. It's a public beach, not a private one, so swimming isn't recommended. However, it's fantastic for clam digging, playing in the sand, and wading in the water in the mornings and evenings. It offers a more private beach experience compared to the crowded public swimming beaches, making it an ideal compromise. There are also water sports facilities operated by third parties on the beach, offering additional options. The hotel features a resident band performance in the evenings, which can be enjoyed directly from the outdoor terrace dining area. I recommend booking a room with a terrace so you can dine and drink while listening to the music. Alternatively, a sea-view room with a balcony also offers a good view. The hotel also has an outdoor mini zoo with cute animals like miniature horses, which is a fun attraction for both adults and children. The breakfast is decent, meeting the standard for a five-star hotel. This room type offers excellent value for money, so remember to book in advance during peak season. By the way, a little heads-up: Qingdao is under a fishing ban throughout July and August, so there's no such thing as ”freshly caught seafood” during this time. Most seafood is frozen or imported from other regions. Friends, be wary of false advertising from some seafood stalls.
