Stepping into this resort felt like walking into a dream . The architecture is so grand, with white façades and elegant columns, it’s straight out of a fairy tale . I was greeted by the scent of salt air and lush greenery—pure bliss .
The view from my room? Absolute chef’s kiss . Ocean right outside the window, waves gently crashing, and that golden sunset every evening . I could’ve stayed there forever .

The gardens are so well-maintained—flowers blooming everywhere, pathways winding through trees . I took a morning stroll barefoot on the grass, and it felt like nature gave me a hug .

GGuest UserMy luxurious experience at MGM Qingdao wouldn't have been complete without Elly's excellent service! Before my trip, I inquired about the hotel's pool and gym rules, and Elly provided a timely and detailed response, clearly outlining the reservation process, opening hours, and even offering thoughtful reminders about important considerations. After checking in, I wanted to change my room's pillow type. I contacted Elly, and within minutes, the change was arranged. The response time was superb, and her attitude throughout was gentle and patient.
The room facilities were in perfect condition, featuring modern light luxury decor combined with elements of Qingdao's mountains and sea. The space was bright and tidy, with 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering unobstructed sea views. High-end bedding, custom bathrooms, and smart home appliances were all well-appointed, providing a first-class living experience.
The sky pool was impressive both in appearance and experience. Its high-altitude infinity design directly overlooked the Yellow Sea, with clean, constant-temperature water and a comfortable resting area. Swimming while enjoying the mountain and sea views was both pleasant and relaxing. The gym was upscale and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering full sea views and ample natural light. It was equipped with a rich variety of imported equipment and professionally divided zones to meet all types of exercise needs. Being open 24 hours, the workout experience was excellent. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Qingdao!

AAnonymous UserWhile the service was acceptable, the facilities were a letdown. It was really a hit or miss experience.
Service: Acceptable. I've stayed at numerous Crowne Plaza hotels across different locations. The lobby staff at this particular hotel were good.
Room service was too slow. Guest services for in-room requests were also slow, possibly due to high occupancy, which is understandable. However, the guest service line went unanswered twice during the evening of my check-in, forcing me to call the concierge desk in the lobby instead.
Housekeeping: The overall cleanliness was good, but they were quite stingy. The tissue box only had a few tissues left and wasn't refilled after cleaning. I'm not sure if this is a cost-cutting measure, but it meant I had to call again to request more, which ironically wastes more staff time.
Facilities: I stayed in room 965. The toilet in the living room bathroom of suite 965 was clogged. Initially, I thought my child had clogged it, but after housekeeping unclogged it the next morning, I realized that no matter when it was used, even just flushing water, the toilet simply didn't drain properly. I'm not sure if the toilet is old or what the issue is, but it invariably clogs with any use. Even pouring juice in, you'd find it doesn't flush completely. So, it needs either repair or replacement.
The air conditioning in the living room worked somewhat normally, but the bedroom AC barely blew any air, as if it was blocked. Even set to the lowest temperature (16 degrees Celsius), the room temperature consistently stayed at 27 degrees and wouldn't cool down.
Booking and communication with guest services were not smooth: I had clearly stated a late evening check-in and requested an extra bed when booking. The hotel had explicitly confirmed that it would be arranged in advance that afternoon. However, upon arrival at the front desk, they had no record of this and only then started arranging it.
Furthermore, when adding the extra bed at the front desk, breakfast was also added for the extra person. But the next morning, we were turned away at the restaurant entrance because their system didn't show the additional guest. It was a hassle to go back and forth twice. The restaurant was already crowded in the morning, and being kept waiting outside was definitely frustrating. I don't blame the restaurant staff; they were just doing their job, but it was clear that even though breakfast had been added, it couldn't be found in their system, making the whole process very inefficient.
In summary, having stayed at many Crowne Plaza hotels in different locations, this particular Crowne Plaza really needs to step up its game.
On a positive note, the ocean view from the room was great.

GGuest UserAbsolutely loved my stay! I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is right above the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around every day. The location is excellent; I could easily walk to May Fourth Square and the seaside boardwalk, and it was a short trip to the Olympic Sailing Center and Badaguan Scenic Area. The room view was stunning, especially the city night lights—so romantic! The facilities are new, and the hygiene was top-notch. Kimi's service was also incredibly thoughtful. After a long day of sightseeing, coming back here was so relaxing. The food was fantastic too! This trip really hit all the right notes.

I want to give special praise to Reya at the front desk and Ms. Huang Xiaohong from housekeeping; they were both incredibly patient, attentive, and responsible. The gentleman who checked me in late at night also provided exceptional service, speaking fluent English and demonstrating great thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Overall, my experience was perfect, and I will definitely be back!

CChenxiansheng99We stayed in a 55-square-meter room, which was really large and spacious, and spotlessly clean. The front desk staff were attentive and welcoming, and the lobby was incredibly grand. Our room also had a big bathtub and a separate wet/dry shower area. It was wonderfully quiet at night, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The buffet restaurant is conveniently located on the first floor, making breakfast very easy. There was a wide variety of breakfast items, though I did find the selection of vegetables a bit limited. Plus, there's a sea behind the hotel, which is a really nice bonus.

GGuest UserDon't choose here for the 5-star hotel service. Driving the luggage is yelled by the security guard at the door. Don't stop at the hotel door. How can you park the car there with a little common sense? It is definitely necessary to let the children and luggage drop first, Tangquan is even more cattle, the price is wrong, there is no apology, it seems that I have a lot of things, not just a few hundred dollars more, if you don’t need the service for the hardware conditions, you can still consider it, the playground conditions are better than many hotels, It is also very close to the beach. It is very close to the church where you can eat in the commercial street. I feel that the choice of not communicating with the hotel is good. The children in the room are very intimate. Finally, I remind Tangquan not to go. It is too stepping on the pit. The whole process of enjoying is almost trained as a special soldier. This can't do it, it can't, everyone has black face service. Breakfast is average.
