It's just one stop by subway to May Fourth Square, and within 4-5 subway stops to Qingdao Station and Zhongshan Road Church. The coastline is directly across the street, perfect for a seaside stroll. **Amenities & Facilities:** The hotel is newly opened, and the facilities are meticulously maintained. It's surrounded by Qingdao's CBD office buildings, attracting many business travelers. The room's overall decor is a luxurious and grand European modern style, making it currently the most upscale hotel in Qingdao. **Cleanliness:** Both the hotel's public areas and guest rooms are very well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The air carries the distinctive, pleasant fragrance unique to St. Regis hotels. **Dining:** The breakfast selection is exquisite and diverse, featuring many Qingdao specialties like freshly made pan-fried dumplings (guotie), steamed buns, fresh mackerel dumplings, and sea cucumber noodles. The dishes are very refined, making breakfast a memorable experience. It's the best breakfast offering among St. Regis hotels in China, even surpassing the flagship St. Regis Qianhai. The Qingdao F&B department has truly put in the effort here. **Room:** The overall design and the sea view from the window make you want to linger. The unique artwork on the room's mugs is beautiful, and the heated towel rack in the bathroom is a distinctive and thoughtful touch, making for a truly impressive experience. **Service:** The staff are warm and courteous, making you feel right at home. The hotel even added me on WeChat to help arrange a latex pillow. Special mention goes to our dedicated butler, Beryl, who called in advance to welcome us and then helped arrange a bubble bath and hot drinks after check-in – truly thoughtful and attentive service. **Summary:** Located in Qingdao's city center with convenient transportation, proactive service, excellent food, and unique design, this hotel deserves its top spot in Qingdao. It's the top choice for anyone visiting Qingdao who desires a luxury hotel stay."

"Huge thanks to Grace for the warm welcome and for upgrading our room! The 270-degree view from the room was absolutely breathtaking – perfect for enjoying sunny days, stunning sunsets, and the beautiful 'blue hour'. The complimentary first-round mini-bar was so well-stocked, even I, who drinks a lot of water, couldn't finish it all. The large bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast at the ocean-view restaurant was also a treat, with both the food and the scenery being delightful. All the staff were very friendly and proactive. The bathrobes were also very comfortable. Overall, it was a truly worthwhile stay; you don't even need to leave the hotel to enjoy beautiful scenery. Some suggestions: 1. Room cleaning was a bit slow, making us wait quite a while before check-in (Grace did offer some comfort, which we appreciated). 2. The shower water temperature couldn't be adjusted very high. I'm not sure if it was because I didn't turn it hard enough or if the hotel set a maximum temperature to prevent scalding. However, as someone who gets cold easily, I'd prefer slightly hotter water. All in all, I highly recommend staying here!"

"Overall, it was absolutely amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. First, let's talk about the location. It's not right by Golden Beach Bathing Beach, but it is considered part of Golden Beach. It takes about a 10-minute walk to get to the bathing beach. However, I think there's no need to go that far. Just a few steps out the back door of the lobby bar, and you're directly on a very fine and clean sandy beach (compared to the crowded Golden Beach Bathing Beach with inconsistent sand quality, I think the beach behind the hotel is much better, though it's not suitable for swimming). Of course, if you want to take public transport, I haven't tried it, but I guess most people drive to resort hotels, right? Or take a taxi. However, there are no hotel-owned charging stations. Next, the room. I booked the 'Embrace the Sea Dream' King Bed room, which offers a partial sea view, quite partial indeed. The hotel's description wasn't very clear on this. All the facilities in the room were fine, and everything you could need was provided, such as disposable bath bags, bath balls, pour-over coffee, a temperature-controlled kettle, etc. You could even request bed rails. Honestly, I never felt like I was missing anything during my stay. As for food, I found the hotel's buffet breakfast to be very rich and tasty... You can even find several breads from 'Fermentation Master' in the bread section. There's also a Mexican taco stand with a really authentic sauce; it felt like Taco Bell couldn't even compare. There were various steamed grains available for children, and what was surprising was that the toddler cutlery was exactly the same as what we use at home (a full set from Shixi). And the most important thing!!! Unlimited craft beer at the hotel! It was authentic Qingdao 1903 Time Craft Beer, about 26 yuan a glass! 🤔 You can get it from the front desk, with two rotating flavors. I went in and out and must have had nearly 30 glasses, it was awesome! Since I don't drink much alcohol, I prefer sweet drinks. I recommend the strawberry grapefruit and grapefruit white tea. The hotel also has a craft beer restaurant (with proper brewing equipment) and a bakery (Fermentation Master). You can have dinner at the craft beer restaurant; the second floor is Chinese, and the first floor is German. The food was decent, and the prices were reasonable. Hotel guests get a 21% discount, and the hotel also provides two craft beer vouchers. Remember to bring them when you go for dinner, so you don't have to buy drinks. Staying guests can buy packaged craft beer at the hotel, about 80-90 yuan for a large bottle, and get the second one half price. However, they don't cover shipping if you want to mail it, so calculate if it's worth it. There's also a pool bar, an infinity pool, and a rooftop bar, but they're not very big. They seemed good for photos. I went during the off-season, so I pretty much had the place to myself. Overall, going during the off-season, I think the experience was excellent. The price and what you get are pretty much aligned. Recommended for those who love beer; it's truly all-you-can-drink for guests! Here are my suggestions for the hotel: 🤔 Since it's close to the sea, although paid foot-washing might be common in Qingdao, I still hope the hotel adds foot-rinsing facilities along the path from the beach to the hotel. It's quite difficult to keep the hotel clean when bringing in sand. Also, as a resort hotel, it felt like there weren't many activities. Perhaps consider organizing some activities for guests to enrich the resort experience (though this might also be because I went during the off-season)."

"The Yihai Garden Hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to May Fourth Square, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The city view room with its floor-to-ceiling windows offers fantastic views. The king-size bed is spacious and comfortable, and the room itself is clean with complete facilities. "Our stay at the Shangri-La Qingdao was fantastic. We've been wanting to stroll along the Qingdao seaside for a while, but weren't sure which section offered the best views and safety. A huge thank you to Cherry for her excellent recommendations! She suggested Lover's Dam, telling us it offered breathtaking views, including the May Fourth Square light show, and was close to the Olympic Sailing Center – perfect for a walk and photos. The sea breeze was gentle and the scenery expansive. Cherry also thoughtfully advised us to go in the evening, so we could catch both the sunset and the night views, essentially ticking off two scenic experiences in one go. The hotel is very close to the scenic spots, making travel convenient and stress-free. Our room was clean and comfortable. We leisurely walked the entire path; it was easy, safe, and the ocean views were stunning. Our whole family absolutely loved it. Thanks to Cherry's precise recommendations, we had a flawless and wonderful experience. It's truly the perfect choice for enjoying the sea and a stroll in Qingdao."

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to nearby shopping malls and the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, and although the facilities were a bit old, it didn't affect our stay. The breakfast offered a rich and varied selection, with plenty of choices that both adults and children enjoyed. The staff also provided great service. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but our child didn't want to leave, so we extended our stay by another day. The hotel also has an underground parking garage, which is very convenient."

"Attention to detail is lacking. There were no tissues in the room, and the light switch design was impractical; some bedside lights couldn't even be turned off. Thankfully, the air conditioning didn't have issues with being too hot to cool down. Compared to the sea view rooms, the details here aren't as good. The biggest takeaway, though, is to be very cautious about breakfast. The bacon was burnt black, and I'm not sure if that's a local specialty or not. The variety also wasn't as good as the sea view rooms – it's hard to describe. After eating breakfast, we didn't dare book their buffet. As for the room, my elderly family members felt a bit itchy after resting. If we're talking about the Shilaoren beach for families, the kids didn't even want to play there, which was quite awkward 😬. However, they did upgrade our room for free, so that's a plus. The travel photography service was also speechless, a bit of a rip-off, but many hotels in Qingdao are like this."

Situated in the prime area of Hong Kong Middle Road in Shinan District, it's just left of the Olympic Sailing Center and right of May Fourth Square. You can step out directly onto the coastal boardwalk and in just a few minutes, walk straight to the beach, the iconic May Fourth Square monument, and the MixC mall. There's no need to rush early in the morning, deal with traffic, or feel stressed. It's incredibly convenient for enjoying the sea, night views, delicious food, and shopping. The surrounding transportation network is excellent, making it easy to hail a taxi or use the subway. Whether you're visiting popular attractions or enjoying a leisurely city walk, the pace is wonderfully relaxed and comfortable. What truly amazed me was the hotel's cloud-high sea view! I stayed in a high-floor sea-view room with super large panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an unobstructed 180° view directly facing Fushan Bay. This is hands down the best view I've ever had in any Qingdao sea-view hotel. During the day, when I drew back the curtains, the azure sea, the layered waves, and the white sails traversing the water were all within sight. The clear blue sky merged with the sparkling sea, and the sunlight streaming into the room felt gentle and healing. Lounging by the window seat, quietly watching the sea and feeling the ocean breeze through the window, all my travel fatigue instantly dissipated. The evening view was even more stunning. At sunset, the 'orange sea' glow of the dusk filled the entire sea surface, and the orange-pink gradient skyline was incredibly romantic. Every photo I took was a masterpiece, no filters needed. Once night fell, the main event began: I could enjoy the entire May Fourth Square light show from my bed, without having to squeeze into crowds by the sea. I had an exclusive view of the entire city's brilliant nightscape. The countless city lights combined with the shimmering sea created an amazing ambiance. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and the night breeze was gentle and incredibly soothing. The living experience in the room completely exceeded my expectations. The overall design was modern and subtly luxurious, simple yet sophisticated and warm. The space was open and airy, with a neat and rational layout that didn't feel cramped at all. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; the entire room was spotless, from the tabletop and floor to every corner of the bathroom. The bedding was soft and fluffy, with a high-quality mattress providing just the right amount of support – neither too soft nor too hard. Lying down instantly brought relaxation, and I slept soundly and sweetly every night. The room facilities were comprehensive and highly intelligent, with electric curtains and smart lighting that were easy to use. The dry-wet separated bathroom was clean and refreshing, and the toiletries were high-quality with a mild, sophisticated scent. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the wardrobe was equipped with an umbrella and a backup charging device, there was a leisure seat by the window, and the bathroom had a bathtub. Soaking in a hot bath in the evening while gazing at the city and sea night views was wonderfully relaxing and stress-relieving. The soundproofing of the walls was excellent. Despite being in a bustling downtown area, I couldn't hear any street noise, significantly enhancing the quality of my stay. The entire service experience was incredibly warm and truly embodied the feeling of 'home away from home.' From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff – Mengmeng, Panpan, Feifei, Tingting, and Zhuozi – were all enthusiastic, thoughtful, polite, and gentle. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, with a simple and smooth process. The staff were patient and meticulous, proactively offering tips on local attractions, dining routes, and light show times. Any requests were met with quick and timely responses. The service throughout was attentive and detailed, never forced or perfunctory, but professional and warm, conveying genuine sincerity. The hotel's facilities were also excellent. The clean and quiet restaurant offered a rich variety of food, including fresh pastries, fruits, vegetables, and hot dishes. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was superb. In my free time, I could relax and take photos in the lobby, with its elegant artistic displays and exquisite decorative摆件 (ornaments), creating a wonderful, luxurious atmosphere perfect for photography.
