"Hygiene: The hygiene was good. Environment: It's surrounded by a commercial area, making dining and shopping very convenient. The nearest subway station is a 10-minute walk away. From the high floor, you get a city night view. There's been a bit of air pollution these past couple of days, so the visibility wasn't great, but it still looked pretty nice."

"The room was well-equipped, with a washing machine and a kitchen. Although we didn't use the kitchen, the view was great, overlooking the sea, and the floor-to-ceiling windows were nice too."

"**Location & Value** Good location and size for the price point. The building is actually a residential condo with local residents, which gives it an authentic feel. Connected to the mall at level 6, so convenient access to dining and shopping. Corridors are very dark. **Rooms & Comfort** Rooms are true to photos. Beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. Fair warning though—this property is really more of a service apartment than a hotel, so manage expectations accordingly. **Cleanliness Issues** This is the main concern. Housekeeping mops the floor daily, but the water appears dirty and the floors end up grimier than before. If you're traveling with a child (as we were), you'll need to clean the floor yourself—and housekeeping will undo your work the next day. Frustrating cycle. **Breakfast & Food** Skip the hotel breakfast package—it's just delivery that you could order yourself. Better options are walking distance away. McDonald's is only 3 minutes on foot. **Service** Service is minimal to nonexistent. Asked about getting a local phone number for deliveries and the front desk was unwilling to help. Taobao/package deliveries get dumped in a communal basket with no sorting—you have to search through yourself. **Condition & Maintenance** Advertised as newly renovated in 2025, but visible wear and tear suggests low-quality renovation work. Concerns about long-term durability without proper maintenance. **Summary** Good for budget travelers who don't expect hotel amenities and don't mind doing some housekeeping yourself. The location and price are solid, but the cleanliness and service gaps are real issues."

"An excellent experience! This hotel boasts a unique blend of German and Chinese architectural styles. They offer complimentary coffee and drinks, and the front desk kindly upgraded my room for free. The soy milk at breakfast was delicious, and the bartender was very enthusiastic, even bringing me a cappuccino before I left. It's very close to Zhanqiao Pier, and Zhongshan Road is lined with shops. You can easily catch a taxi just a hundred meters or so away, making it very convenient. The hotel is also in the process of applying for intangible cultural heritage status. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Qingdao!"

"They greet you with a beer and two skewers upon arrival – if you're in Qingdao for the beer, this is a no-brainer! There's a Brewery No. 4 fresh beer tap right downstairs. Parking is convenient with a large lot, and there are charging stations too. It's best to charge overnight; you might have to queue during midday. It's about a 10-minute walk to Maidong Seafood Market, but the seafood there is a bit pricey, and the surrounding processing services are also on the expensive side. The room offers great value for money. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. For this price in Shinan District, it's really excellent. The hotel is located within a large complex, and the staff recommended ”Qingdao Food Night School” behind the hotel, which was also fantastic! A special thanks to the owner for the extra bottle of wine!"
