Hotels in Stone Old Beach/Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao

During the summer vacation, I brought my child from Penglai Pavilion to Qingdao and stayed at the Haitian Financial Hotel. The front desk upgraded us to a suite for free, which was very comfortable for both adults and children. It's quite close to Shilaoren Beach, and there are also local Qingdao specialty restaurants downstairs.

Attention to detail is lacking. There were no tissues in the room, and the light switch design was impractical; some bedside lights couldn't even be turned off. Thankfully, the air conditioning didn't have issues with being too hot to cool down. Compared to the sea view rooms, the details here aren't as good. The biggest takeaway, though, is to be very cautious about breakfast. The bacon was burnt black, and I'm not sure if that's a local specialty or not. The variety also wasn't as good as the sea view rooms – it's hard to describe. After eating breakfast, we didn't dare book their buffet. As for the room, my elderly family members felt a bit itchy after resting. If we're talking about the Shilaoren beach for families, the kids didn't even want to play there, which was quite awkward 😬. However, they did upgrade our room for free, so that's a plus. The travel photography service was also speechless, a bit of a rip-off, but many hotels in Qingdao are like this.

Spotlessly clean and excellent service! I was able to get a late check-out until 2 PM. They provided a welcome fruit platter and warm coffee. The bedding was super comfortable, I slept really well. The location is convenient and they had a full set of toiletries. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

There's an underground parking garage, which makes parking very convenient. The night before, we stayed at a highly-rated 'Maple' hotel nearby, and while the prices were similar, this one was significantly better in terms of overall quality. The breakfast offered a rich variety of options, making it great value for money. The room was clean, tidy, and beautifully laid out, providing maximum comfort. Overall, I highly recommend it and will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Qingdao!

It's within walking distance of the senior bathing area and very close to the sea. Service: This was exceptional, especially from Elly. As the Guest Relations Manager, she was incredibly thoughtful. She gave us a comprehensive introduction to everything in advance and met all our requests regarding the room. Many thanks to her! Facilities: Overall, they were excellent, especially the gym, both in terms of ambiance and equipment. Suggestion: I hope you'll consider allowing food delivery directly to rooms or implementing robot delivery. Many five-star hotels offer this nowadays, and asking guests to pick up their own deliveries feels a bit outdated for current service standards. Everything else was perfect. In summary: As I told Elly, I'll definitely be staying here every time I visit Qingdao.

Equinox Hotel is my top choice for business trips to Laoshan District! It's conveniently located with direct access to two metro lines, and right downstairs is MixC shopping mall, making business dinners very easy. The room's desk and chair are comfortable, the WiFi is fast, and online meetings were smooth throughout. The hotel offers meeting rooms and a business center, and the self-service laundry room is a lifesaver for long-term business travelers. Breakfast is clean and plentiful, the 24-hour front desk is quick to respond, and Owen and Aiden provide warm and professional service. The rooms are quiet and well soundproofed, allowing for a restful sleep after a busy day. As an InterContinental brand, the quality is consistently high, making business travel efficient and hassle-free. I highly recommend it to anyone working in Laoshan.

As an avid traveler who's stayed in hundreds of hotels, I booked this one for my friends through Ctrip, and I must say, for its price point, the overall quality and experience far exceeded any budget hotel I've stayed in, even outshining some star-rated hotels. It was impeccably clean, and all the facilities were brand new. The hotel's exterior boasts a beautiful environment, while the interior is futuristic and novel. There's an exhibition area showcasing sports memorabilia like game jerseys and balls donated by sports stars such as Yao Ming, giving it a distinct sports theme. The front desk attendant was very enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located just two bus stops from Shilaoren Scenic Area, making it perfect for those visiting Qingdao for a seaside vacation. This stay truly felt like getting a mid-to-high-end hotel experience for the price of a budget one – excellent value for money! Plus, right next to the hotel is the Dongfang Zaocha restaurant (the last picture shows its night view), which offers authentic Cantonese dim sum and dinner cooked by Cantonese chefs – another great option. Overall, this stay offered incredible value for money and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling for business or leisure in the area.
