Hotels in Stone Old Beach/Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao

Hygiene: The hygiene was good. Environment: It's surrounded by a commercial area, making dining and shopping very convenient. The nearest subway station is a 10-minute walk away. From the high floor, you get a city night view. There's been a bit of air pollution these past couple of days, so the visibility wasn't great, but it still looked pretty nice.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. It's a mere five-minute walk to a bus stop with direct routes to May Fourth Square, and from there, it's convenient to transfer to buses heading to more distant attractions like Lu Xun Park or the Naval Museum. The subway station is also just in the same block, making transportation incredibly convenient. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall, offering plenty of options whether you want to order takeout or dine out. It's perfect for unwinding at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing. The rooms are clean, tidy, and odor-free. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent. They provide a generous supply of disposable amenities, and replacements are prompt. The hotel also has a restaurant with good quality dishes, and breakfast hours are extended, allowing for flexible dining times. Pearl's service was warm, attentive, and responsive. When I called the service center with an issue, the staff member who came to check on it arrived very quickly and promptly. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and offered great value for money. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

A truly wonderful stay! The surroundings are beautiful, and the apartment itself is very spacious. We even found a large plush toy inside! The large windows offer fantastic views; you can just look out and admire the scenery, which was very satisfying. This is an absolutely outstanding apartment! The quality is excellent, and the attention to detail is superb. On top of that, the customer service was incredibly attentive and highly efficient. Choosing to stay here is definitely a smart decision. Highly recommended!

I was on a business trip here and saw on the map that the sunrise and sunset at Wheat Island are beautiful, so I booked a hotel at Ocean World. Since the hotel is right behind the coastline, I walked along it and the scenery was just stunning with the ocean all the way. Qingdao is so beautiful, I'll definitely come again next time.

I originally booked a room on the 5th floor, but they upgraded me to the 17th, which had a really great view! I even got to see the sunrise in the morning, definitely recommend it! The staff were also excellent, and the breakfast was decent, pretty much had everything you'd need.

Can you believe there's no air conditioning? How can a hotel this big expect guests to survive without it? I had to call them to bring a portable air cooler, and the fan was so weak, you had to be right next to it to feel anything. It took me all night to get a decent sleep, it was such a struggle! The central air conditioning in the room only blew out natural air, not cool air. The shower pressure was awful; it was uncomfortable to shower with such a weak stream. Are they really that stingy they won't turn on the pump? Breakfast was also very mediocre. The sausages and ham were clearly cheap. I definitely don't recommend this place!

This last-minute Dragon Boat Festival trip to Qingdao led to a scramble for hotels, with prices for impromptu bookings being quite high. Hotels around May Fourth Square were either old or expensive. I ended up booking this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The location and value for money are great; Shilaoren Beach is just a short walk away. The price was also more reasonable than the nearby MGM and Hyatt Regency Qingdao. Being a new hotel, all the facilities are quite modern. The environment and overall quality are good, and the breakfast selection is quite diverse. I booked a king room, and the front desk upgraded me to a sea-view suite. The room even had a small washing machine, which was super convenient for washing clothes after coming back from the beach. Overall, highly recommended!

I rarely review hotels, but I absolutely have to share my experience this time! My friends and I specifically chose this beachfront hotel for our summer vacation with the kids. However, once we arrived, we realized it's quite a distance from the beach – we needed to take a taxi to get there. What really bothered me and was the most unacceptable was the strong smell in the rooms and hallways. It was a very strong formaldehyde smell from new renovations, and opening the windows did absolutely nothing. It really put a damper on our mood. How did this place pass inspections and open without any odor removal tests?

The room was clean and tidy, and there was no noise from outside the window. As an old three-star hotel, it offered excellent value for money during the May Day holiday. The sea view room had a great view, and we were lucky to catch a sunny day, making the feeling of being surrounded by the curved sea truly wonderful.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Here is my review Pro: 1. This place is run by a China reputable Bath & bedding group. Hence amenities provided in the room is on the high quality side. 2. Pillow and Bedding is comfortable 3. It is next to a heartland mall 4. It is near to Buxi Mrt station. There is a Seafood market opposite but I would recommend Tuandao Seafood market as pricing is transparent and many restaurants in the market provide cooking services. Cons: 1. The place feels like an Airbnb as it is in a private condo and not very professionally manage 2. The reception staff will respond to your request but they are not at the level of hotel chain Overall, this is a ok hotel. But I would recommend to stay in Shinan area as it is near to the beach and city area.
