Hotels in Huangdao Golden Beach Holiday Resort, Qingdao

Since the pet-friendly rooms at the Hilton next door were fully booked, we found this hotel right next to it, with gardens connecting to the Hilton. It's also pet-friendly, though it looks a bit dated. The cleanliness was acceptable, and there's a huge area for dog walking, including the large garden downstairs. It's also very close to Golden Beach, just across the road. There are plenty of dining options nearby as well, which is convenient.

The room amenities were great, and laundry was convenient. The only downside was that the dryers were often in use, but luckily, the room had a dehumidifier. Hanging clothes in the bathroom with the dehumidifier running overnight worked wonders. My kids got several outfits dirty each day playing in the sand, and I was able to wash them all promptly. Breakfast was more Western-style and healthy. The adjacent music restaurant was fantastic; we ate dinner there four nights in a row, and both the Western and Chinese dishes were excellent. The children's toiletries and slippers were good quality, and the room came with pour-over coffee equipment and beans, plus a bed rail for the little one. You could really tell they paid attention to the details. The only slight drawback was the loud music program on Saturday night, with the speakers pointed directly at our room – it was too noisy. If you're staying over a weekend, definitely ask for an odd-numbered room to avoid the noise.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm on the West Coast. The price is pretty reasonable, and the breakfast on the second floor offers a good variety of options with generally tasty food, including freshly ground coffee. The staff are very friendly and even arranged a room with a partial sea view, which was great. However, the hallway carpet was a bit dirty this time, so hopefully, they'll improve on that. The hotel is conveniently located near plenty of dining and shopping options, and it's not far from the main attractions either.

Although it's a bit far from the city center, the amenities are quite good. The shopping mall has everything you need, and you can even see the sea. The room facilities are also very good, with a refrigerator and washing machine. For this price, it's practically a five-star hotel.

This room is exceptionally spacious, as are the restaurant and the long corridors. The entire hotel is just massive, feeling more like a resort. It's also very clean, and all the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. The environment is lovely. The only minor drawback is the limited dining options. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality of its dishes and lower prices. If they can make improvements in their F&B, I believe this would be a must-visit resort in Qingdao. After we provided feedback on this to our butler and the service staff, their attitude towards handling it was excellent. Not only did they waive the restaurant's service charge, but they also very humbly accepted our suggestions. We hope to see a perfect Lalu Hotel on our next visit.

Extremely satisfied with this family-friendly beach hotel! The beach is right outside, with fine, clean sand. They even upgraded us to a sea-view room for free, which was super nice of them. The kids' pool and play area are excellent, and the room comes with children's toiletries – thoughtful details. The staff are gentle and patient, and breakfast offers a huge variety of treats that kids love. Taking care of the little ones was effortless and relaxing throughout our stay. The sea view is absolutely stunning. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next family vacation!

This was an absolutely perfect stay! From the security guards at the entrance to the front desk, the guest rooms, the fitness center, and the restaurant – every single staff member displayed an incredible level of service consciousness. I honestly couldn't find a single fault. The hotel's location is excellent; just across the road is a seaside promenade, perfect for an outdoor run or a post-dinner stroll. It's a 10-minute drive to Golden Beach and less than 20 minutes to Yumingzui or Liansan Island. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both quite good, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the air conditioning was strong. If I ever have the chance to visit Huangdao again, this will be my only choice.

Let's be realistic here. Who designed that sink? It's literally the perfect height for a urinal – I had to bend 90 degrees just to wash my face! And the smart toilet was like a regular toilet, the lid kept hitting my back every time I used it! The main issue though was the cleanliness. It looked okay, but after two nights, both of us had about seven or eight suspicious red bites, especially on our feet, which were incredibly itchy! Seriously, DO NOT wear the hotel slippers!!! As regular travelers, we don't have high demands, just clean and hygienic accommodation. Is that really too much to ask?

The hotel boasts a luxurious and upscale design, and the butler service was exceptional. We booked a cloud-view room, and the view outside was fantastic. The only minor drawback was the room layout, which felt a bit cramped and not very open. The breakfast buffet had a great ambiance and offered a rich variety of high-quality dishes. It wasn't one of those buffets that looks fancy but leaves you wondering what to eat; the food stations and customer flow were very well-organized. The Eggs Benedict were particularly delicious. All the soft drinks and snacks in the room were complimentary, and the book about Bloody Marys was quite interesting. I would definitely consider staying here again if the prices are more attractive during the off-peak season.
