Hotels in odori park Surrounding, Sapporo

For my trip to Sapporo, I chose to stay at the Prince Hotel. It's an older, established Japanese hotel with standard rooms that are typical of traditional Japanese hotel specifications. The location is convenient, situated at the end of Odori Park, and just a 400-meter walk from the subway station. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to Sapporo Station. From the hotel, it departs on the half-hour, but you need to book in advance at the front desk in the morning. From Sapporo Station, it departs on the hour, with the last bus at 7 PM. You can find it right next to the bus stop outside Sapporo Station, and the hotel's logo is on the bus. If you have a lot of luggage, you can also take the airport limousine bus directly from Sapporo Airport to the hotel entrance for 1500 JPY (cash per person), which is very convenient. However, for the return trip, there are only two buses to the airport daily, at 9:38 AM and 10:38 AM. We missed them on our way back, so we booked the hotel shuttle to Sapporo Station and took the JR train to the airport, which was also very easy! The hotel has a paid onsen (hot spring) on the second floor; guests can pay at the front desk to use it. We arrived back at the hotel too late each night to try it, but I'd definitely like to experience it next time!😆

This hostel is on the pricier side, and the shower water temperature is inconsistent. It's really inconvenient having to walk through the kitchen and common area, past everyone, just to get to the bathroom. Many residents seem to live here permanently, with their belongings scattered all over the floor. It's not a very welcoming place for travelers just staying a short while.

The room was very quiet, with ample spacing between rooms. The hotel breakfast was a delightful surprise—Japanese-style—with fresh sashimi, sweet shrimp, tempura, seafood rice bowls, and more, all served early in the morning. Refills were prompt, and the staff were quick and efficient in attending to each guest in an orderly manner. Additionally, there's an airport bus stop just 100 to 200 meters from the hotel, directly opposite Abest Hotel.

Location is excellent, right amongst the main shopping malls, seafood markets, restaurants and commercial streets. You can see the TV tower from some of the rooms and the rooftop barbecue site. The check-in process is however painfully slow. The staff forgot to give us water (supposedly one would receive one bottle per night per person at the reception). The room card we received was also not working... The room albeit clean and tidy was rather barebone and small. It's quite rare nowadays to have a hotel of this pricing not to offer a TV. The breakfast was also very simple. 4 types of crepes. And some very limited choices of food items. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quick resting spot with easy access to main visiting spots and having no high requirements for hotel amenities.

The location is great, right next to Tanukikoji, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Don Quijote. Facilities: There's a hot spring, but I didn't get a chance to use it. There's also a self-service laundry, but it only accepts coins, no electronic payments. Cleanliness: It was very clean and tidy; I had a comfortable stay. Service: We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM and were told we could store our luggage first, but check-in wasn't until after 3 PM. We dropped off our bags and went out to explore. We came back after dinner to pick up our room key.

Good location, nice food (breakfast buffet and restaurant), good service and staff. Facilities are also remarkable. Recommend to stay here!

1. **Location** From Sapporo Station, it's about a 20-minute walk through the underground passage. You'll exit near Mega Don Quijote and find the hotel just one block away. Being right in the middle of the shopping district makes it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. 2. **Facilities** The capsule itself is quite spacious – I could even fit my carry-on suitcase inside. There's a locker-like compartment within the capsule, which is great for storing valuables. On the 3rd floor where I stayed, there were two shower rooms, and the restrooms were separated for men, women, and also a unisex option. The shower rooms were a bit small, but they provided basic amenities like body wash and shampoo. The hallway temperature was comfortable due to constant air conditioning, but the capsule itself got quite chilly in the early morning. I tend to get hot easily, so if I felt cold, others might find it quite uncomfortable. It was nice to have a small snack area on the second floor. 3. **Service** Check-in was on the second floor, and the staff spoke decent English, which was a plus. I paid a 300 yen accommodation tax upon check-in. 4. **Other** With quite a few capsules on one floor, I was worried the shower rooms would be crowded. However, surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all, perhaps because people naturally used them at different times. Overall, it's a perfectly decent capsule hotel for solo travelers on a budget.

The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's right by Odori Park, and the airport shuttle drops you off directly at the entrance. There's also a subway station nearby, and you can even walk to Tanukikoji shopping arcade. The front desk provides complimentary skincare sample sets based on the length of your stay, and you can pick up a wide variety of disposable toiletries from a station by the elevators on the first floor. The room itself was great overall – small but perfectly formed, with everything you need. One thing to note is that rooms aren't cleaned daily; it seems to be once every four nights, which the front desk will inform you about. For my three-night stay, there was no daily cleaning, but every morning before 10 AM, I could hang a fabric bag with my used towels and pajamas, as well as my trash, on the doorknob outside my room. Staff would then replace them with fresh ones on the door.

Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The location is excellent, right between Tanukikoji 1 and 2. There’s a FamilyMart downstairs, while McDonald’s, a bookstore, and drugstores are just across the street, making everything very convenient. The hotel lounge offers free coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. I would skip the breakfast. The selection was limited, and some of the fish didn’t taste very fresh and was quite dry, so it wasn’t worth paying extra for.
