The hotel is very close to Odori Subway Station, and Sapporo Station is also within walking distance. The room was larger than I expected, and the breakfast was excellent, even featuring sweet shrimp tempura. Tanukikoji shopping street is right next door, and Nijo Market is also within walking distance.

Location is excellent, right amongst the main shopping malls, seafood markets, restaurants and commercial streets. You can see the TV tower from some of the rooms and the rooftop barbecue site. The check-in process is however painfully slow. The staff forgot to give us water (supposedly one would receive one bottle per night per person at the reception). The room card we received was also not working... The room albeit clean and tidy was rather barebone and small. It's quite rare nowadays to have a hotel of this pricing not to offer a TV. The breakfast was also very simple. 4 types of crepes. And some very limited choices of food items. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a quick resting spot with easy access to main visiting spots and having no high requirements for hotel amenities.

The room amenities are a bit dated, but I find that's pretty standard for Japanese hotels. Still, it was good – there was a bedside lamp, a radio, and a heater switch. Plus, it had two chairs and enough space to open two 26-inch suitcases, which is a big plus. The front desk staff were also excellent; they were very patient and accommodating when I needed to store my luggage, and their translation device worked perfectly.

We stayed for 2 nights. The twin room space was comfortable for two. The bed and pillows comfortable and we slept well. Facilities in the bathroom looked dated and the toilet seat was not heated. The bathtub cleanliness can be improved as I found some hair floating on the water when I filled the tub for a bath. This was before anyone use the shower so I was very sure the stray hairs were not ours😖. The free 30min lounge service with alcoholic drinks was a very nice touch to the stay. There is also free coffee and tea at reception area.

Location is great. A walking distance to Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street. If you are with luggage, walking at underground shopping street, once you see Parco on your left, turn right and you will see an escalator not far away. Go up and you will see GongCha. Go straight and pass through the sliding door beside it. Turn right and keep walking until a cross junction. Hotel is the left side of next junction. Room is spacious. There is a new law with tax charge for hotels at Sapporo area this year.

*5 stars - Perfect for families/groups in Sapporo* I just finished a 5-night stay at Karaksa Hotel Sapporo and I’m genuinely impressed. We booked the connecting rooms and it was exactly what a group needs in the city. *The room setup was the MVP*: Two separate rooms with a connecting door + two full toilets and two showers. That meant no morning queues, no waiting for the bathroom when everyone’s rushing out for breakfast. For families or friends traveling together, this layout is a game changer. Rooms were clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for Sapporo. *Location*: Super convenient. Easy walk to transport and the main shopping/dining areas, so we didn’t need a car the whole time. *Service*: Staff were polite, efficient with check-in, and happy to help with local tips. After 5 nights I can honestly say the connecting room setup made the trip so much smoother. If you’re traveling with kids, parents, or a group of adults and want privacy + convenience, ask for this room type. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Karaksa Sapporo nailed the balance of location, clean rooms, and thoughtful design.

A great experience overall. The room had three beds, and while not huge, it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in Odori 8-chome, perfect for a stroll right outside the door, and public transportation is easily accessible. Breakfast was a Western set meal; the freshly baked bread with butter was delicious, and it came with a plate of salad, making for a balanced and nutritious start to the day. The service was attentive.

The location is great! The room was clean and very beautiful. Amenity such as toothbrush was also substantial. I want to stay again!

I stayed at Hotel Abest Sapporo for 5 nights during a company travel, and I appreciated having my own room. The room was small but comfortable enough for one person, with everything I needed for the stay. The location was the best part—very convenient and just a step away from Tanukikoji Shopping Street, making it easy to shop, dine, and explore nearby areas after our activities. The breakfast was also commendable, with many choices to start the day well. I also appreciated the free personal amenities available in the lobby, as well as the free drinks offered during limited hours, which were nice added touches. Overall, it was a practical, comfortable, and convenient stay.

This was my first time staying at this hotel chain, and I stayed for 7 nights. I have to give it a big thumbs up! The location is great, very close to Susukino and Odori Station. Tanukikoji shopping street is just a right turn out of the hotel. We booked three day trips to nearby areas, and all of them departed from Odori. The staff were all very polite and courteous. Even though the breakfast didn't have a huge selection, it was delicious. Both my mother and daughter loved it. And finally, the afternoon ice cream was fantastic, just as good as what you'd find at a specialty shop outside. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.
