GGuest UserThe best thing about this place are the owners. Full of initiative and kindness, I am very appreciative of their initiative services.
For example, they asked if I already had transportation for my next destination, then how much I was quoted. Then they said that was a fair price if it was right to the hotel, to just check and verify if it is so. This is a very helpful guidance for out-of-towners.
The room is clean, and after 4 days of travel in the area, it is the only one that doesn't have any lingering smells of cigarette smoke. It is hard to find rooms like these, including rooms that claim to be smoke-free.
The view from the room is great and it is nice to watch the birds fly over the border river. Birds are not constrained by fences.
Bottles of water are provided, as are disposable towels, which I'm not a fan of, as well as soap, shampoo and so on. There is no separation of wet/dry areas, but slippers are provided.
You may not get the best photos in such a homestay, but it is functional and practical, and everything works well, drainage and so on, which is more important. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

GGuest UserShanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse may sound unassuming, but stepping into the rooms is a pleasant surprise. First, the cleanliness is impeccable; the beds and rooms are spotless, comparable to a five-star hotel. Second, the service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. When we couldn't find Yushui Dam while driving there, he kindly suggested we call him – a truly kind gesture. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, easy to find, and very quiet at night. It even has an elevator, which is rare for a guesthouse. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – each one is large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the scenic area. I couldn't resist taking several photos. The curtains are automatic, the toilet is a smart toilet, and the bedding is excellent. There's also a table, two chairs, and high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, and slippers. Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels of all levels and star ratings, I feel that Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse offers a five-star experience at an economy price. All 14 of us in our group were extremely satisfied.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

AAimaoxiandeyayaHey Shanghainese folks, listen up! It's only a few hundred meters from the actual main entrance, but for lazy people, it might be a bit of a trek. You can drive there, and parking is 30 RMB. The guesthouse itself is really great – clean and relatively quiet! It's the tallest and largest guesthouse around, standing out from the ones on either side, so the views are unobstructed. During the National Day holiday, things were busy, but the landlady kept her cool and was super responsive to everything, which I really appreciated. Honestly, after looking around this trip, the service here was better than other so-called high-end guesthouses. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. There's parking right outside. I didn't have the landlady buy the 80 RMB tickets for me because she couldn't get them until 8:30 AM, and the scenic area opens at 7:30 AM. I bought my 110 RMB ticket online directly and was the first one through the gates on National Day. By 9 AM, when I was done and leaving, the peak crowds were just arriving. Then I went back to the guesthouse, took a shower, had some noodles, and relaxed watching a Vietnamese drama – pretty sweet!

JJuedaimengluoThe room is clean and the bed is very big. It is no problem for two people to sleep. Although the bathroom is simple, the bath water is stable. There is bottled water in the corridor on each floor. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor, which is not far from the dining place.
Here I would like to remind everyone that when you go to Mingshi, don't go to a ”Shiwei Restaurant” for dinner. We have been playing in Mingshi for several days and have eaten in many restaurants without any problems. We had dinner in this restaurant on the 15th and went to Chongzuo on the 16th. We planned to visit Taiping Ancient City on the day of Chongzuo and go to Yangshuo the next day. As a result, we started to have diarrhea the next morning after dinner. When we arrived at the Chongzuo Hotel, both of us had **** phenomenon, felt cold all over, and were exhausted. We could only buy anti-inflammatory and anti-diarrhea ***** online. We lay in the hotel for three days, which delayed the subsequent itinerary and made us feel very uncomfortable. We have contacted 12315 for rights protection on the 18th and are now waiting for the result.

- the room cleanliness could be much better. There were dirty marks all over the bathroom floor, windows and TV
- poor sound insulation (you can hear your neighbours)
- the village is currently undergoing a lot of construction work - it's clear that the homestay can't change it, however, it would be great if guests could be warned about it in advance. The area is quite dusty
Overall, taking into consideration hygiene and the state of the area around (construction sites), the price was a bit too high for the stay. The views of the nature are unbeatable thought.

GGuest UserThis is an absolutely fantastic guesthouse! The environment is very clean, and the facilities are quite complete, more than enough for my solo travel needs. A cleaning lady comes up every day to clean, and the owner and other staff are all very welcoming. The food at the restaurant downstairs is also delicious. I stayed for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. 🥺

The twin rooms on the second floor and the third floor were all floor-to-ceiling windows. The big bed room on the fourth floor had a balcony and I liked it very much. The price was right. The owner of the hotel is very good, and the situation is solved in time. They also opened a drink stall downstairs and sent us juice.
