Guest UserGood hotel with newly renovated room. Very near the main attraction. Some mosquitos in the room but understandable since it is the rainy season. Minor feedback would be the smell of the sheets and blanket, slightly damp. In general, very happy with the price we pay - cold ac.

Guest UserThe wooden floors in the room felt comfortably warm and smooth underfoot. The lighting was soft and subtle, and the electric curtains were a breeze to use. Every little detail showed thoughtful consideration. The hotel is right on the Tuojiang River, offering beautiful views from the window. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Although the hotel is located by the Tuojiang River, offering some river views, its location within the ancient city means parking is a hassle. We had to park in a separate lot, which was very crowded and cost 40 yuan a day (the hotel managed to get us a small discount down to 30 yuan). We then had to drag our luggage quite a distance over uneven, cobblestone streets, which was extremely inconvenient, especially traveling with children and seniors. Combined with the crowds during the May Day holiday, the overall experience was quite poor. All these ancient towns seem pretty much the same, indistinguishable from Lijiang or Dali. We might as well have just driven from Tianmen Mountain straight to Changsha – and the room wasn't cheap either. On a positive note, the fish at Gaaizi Restaurant in the ancient city was delicious; we ordered a second helping after finishing the first. The taste was excellent, but definitely skip their chicken – it wasn't good at all.

Guest UserHuge thanks to the lovely lady who checked me in; she was so kind and helpful. The room itself was really comfortable, spacious, and thankfully, had no strange smells. The bedding was incredibly cozy, and the pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!

I recently stayed at Qin Ting Yu Yuan Homestay in Fenghuang Ancient City and here’s my honest review:
Location:
The homestay is tucked inside Fenghuang’s ancient town, giving you a charming traditional atmosphere right at your doorstep. It’s within walking distance to the river, bridges, night views, and popular photo spots. Very convenient for exploring both day and night.
Room:
The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a cosy, traditional style that matches the old-town vibe. The bed was comfortable, and the temperature control worked well. The bathroom was modern despite being in an old-style building.
Host:
The host was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. They assisted with directions, luggage, and gave tips on where to eat and what to see. Check-in was smooth and communication was easy.
Noise Level:
As it’s inside the ancient city, there can be some noise at night from tourists and nearby shops — normal for the area. But overall, it didn’t disturb my rest too much.
Overall:
A wonderful stay for anyone who wants the full Fenghuang ancient-town experience. Beautiful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and friendly hospitality. I would recommend it for couples, families, and travellers who enjoy cultural and historic scenery.

Silvia PalopThe first room was nice but had a enormous spider (Huntsman spider) at the bathroom wall. We told the staff and they changed our room ( I don't know if they got rid of it or just left it there). The second room was at the top floor and the views were stunning. The mattress was comfortable and the amenities were nice. It was also full of spiders (we killed 5 of them) but weren't enormous (only about 3cm big) but they definitely have a problem with spiders in the rooms. The staff kept our luggage after the checkout until we left the city.

Guest UserThank you from me and my mum for taking care of us.
From the moment I booked, we communicated on trip.com and then wechat, I had all my queries answered which would have been enough, but they kindly asked me how I would be arriving at Fenghuang. From there I was guided on every transport option, its description, ease and cost and which area to direct a taxi to, from where we would be met.
I let them know when we got on a taxi from the train station and when we got off at the taxi drop off point, someone was stood waiting for us! Took our luggage and it was an easy 3 minute walk from the car, across Hongqiao bridge to the home stay. We were helped with our luggage too.
When we saw the balcony view we were overjoyed! The hotel is located in the bend of the river so you get stunning views all around and one of the night time river performances is just infront of the balcony.
Location is perfect. Can easily get around and it's in the main streets with all the hustle and bustle around.
Room has everything you need.
Service is impeccable, we were even helped in arranging a driver (special thanks to their driver) who took extra care of us. Anything we needed we could ask for on wechat and were responded to immediately. Discounted tickets for the boat and scenic spots too.

First, I want to thank the owner for helping me with my suitcase, both to and from the hotel. The last picture shows the stairs, which are very narrow and steep, so thank you for the help.
I stayed in a quad room on the third floor, facing the river. The photos I took at noon, night, and in the morning really show how beautiful the scenery is.
Across the river, there's a row of places where you can listen to music. I visited one, and the B&B owner reminded me to always confirm the price beforehand and pay upfront, rather than at the end. It's a good reminder! The singing continued until 11:30 PM, which was a bit noisy.
The food I ordered was from the B&B itself, and it was delicious!
They also offer a free 2-hour Miao ethnic costume experience, and you can do your own makeup. There are many spots by the river where you can take photos for a fee.
Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe entire experience here truly shows the owner's thoughtful dedication. The room was clean and tidy, and the location is absolutely fantastic, right by the river. Being centrally located, it's super convenient for sightseeing. They offer a diverse breakfast in the morning, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy a lovely high tea by the riverside, just sitting and taking in the view. Downstairs, there's a cozy bar that offers a unique 'day coffee, night drinks' experience, which I absolutely loved. You can leisurely sip coffee during the day and unwind with a drink in the evening, all while enjoying the river view – it's incredibly relaxing. The service was warm, attentive, and incredibly thorough, taking care of every little detail. It’s a one-stop-shop for dining, accommodation, and entertainment, offering great value for money. Staying here for my trip to Fenghuang was perfect, and I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back!
