Perfect
GGuest UserI found this guesthouse on Ctrip, and it had overwhelmingly positive reviews. So, even though we hadn't planned on coming to Yuanyang, we immediately packed our bags and set off. The owner, Mr. Luo, was incredibly welcoming and meticulous in arranging our itinerary. The Yuanyang Rice Terraces are definitely worth visiting again! The room was fully equipped, and you could watch the sunrise from the balcony. At sunrise, the terraces awaken from their slumber, transforming from dark to light, from cool to warm, creating a silent symphony of light and shadow. I also highly recommend the owner's restaurant; it has won over the taste buds of guests from Guangdong, Shanghai, and Beijing!
GGuest UserThe room was clean, tidy, and hygienic, with new and comfortable facilities and attentive service. The location was excellent, right near the Jingkou Village Terraced Fields scenic area, offering beautiful views of the terraced fields from the room. The room was quiet despite being in a bustling area, and there was parking available outside. Taking a morning stroll along the wooden boardwalk, breathing in the morning mist and breeze, and experiencing the rustic charm of the Hani village was particularly pleasant. The breakfast was excellent, especially the authentic Hani rice noodles. I must mention the receptionist, who was always smiling and provided exceptional service. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.
VVictorRomierThis is by far one of our most amazing experience in Yunnan ! The hotel is very well located in the Pugaolao village, with a stunning view on the rice terrace. No need to walk, you can just open your curtain and you will have a mesmerizing sunrise. The owner is an angel, so helpful and nice with her customers. We enjoy a meal with the whole family, party and many more (they have a restaurant in the hotel). I recommend this place more than any other !!! Thank you very much for this amazing stay
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of clouds. The sea of clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of clouds at Duoyishu that day.
AAliguoguoWe booked the terraced field homestay 2 days in advance. The room was brand new with smart toilet, air conditioning, clean and tidy, and the details of the signs were well done. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows made it a very stylish homestay. The parking lot was very convenient. It was only 200 meters away from the Duoyishu Scenic Area Observation Deck. It was also very convenient to drive there to watch the sunset. It was not far from several scenic spots. The owner of the hotel was also very enthusiastic and provided us with a map of the Yuanyang Terraces tourist route. The food was also delicious. The overall evaluation was very good, with five-star praise.
GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!
GGuest UserWell situated place in duoyishu village. The place is quiet and peaceful, and you can go down to the rice paddies by following the road down.
The hostel is rather basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Hot drinking water provided and the dorm has an attached bathroom with seat toilet! That was really great for me.
The owner is a friendly and approachable guy. Helped me with bus booking to jiashui from xinjie. Also helped me to get my transport in the morning back to Xinjie.
Photos show the areas and restaurants nearby as I forgot to take pictures of the hostel itself.
TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.
Thanks Lucian!

PS. Downloading maps.me beforehand will definitely help with meditation
DDaniela KisiThe location is very good, walking distance to the terraces! The room is very good, and it matches the photos and descriptions, but the service was almost non-existent.
When we arrived we were received only by kids and a teenager checked us in. No adults were seen on site until the last day of our 3-day stay. On our first morning, we were woken up by a couple trying to enter our room because the kids had checked them in and gave them the key to our room!
It was supposed to have breakfast included, but there was no one there to even ask about it. Internet did not work 2 out of the 3 days we were there. Neither did the hot water. I understand that some of these things might be because it's off-season, but if they can't offer services like breakfast, they should not include it in the hotel description.
EemamasI had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops.
The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. For only 70 RMB he drove me in other scenic areas both in the morning and in the afternoon and waited for me as long as I needed to (we went to Bada rice terraces, which is famous for the sunset, and he waited for me for more than two hours). He offered me food, tea and helped me to arrange my way back to the bus station in Nansha (南沙).
The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and it was possible to warm it using an electric blanket.
I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
