MM40436****The location is right next to the ancient village of Azheke, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the terraced fields. We arrived that afternoon and immediately went to explore the village until sunset. Then we walked back to the guesthouse in about five or six minutes.
A small incident occurred. After returning to the guesthouse, my five-year-old wanted a bath, so I filled the tub halfway with warm water. However, less than ten minutes later, she complained of chest pain and shortness of breath. Suddenly, her face turned very pale. I suspect that the altitude sickness from walking at 1900 meters and then taking a bath caused her to experience altitude sickness. The guesthouse owner quickly took us to a clinic. Fortunately, she recovered on the way and was fine. We are so grateful to the guesthouse owner; their kindness and generosity are truly admirable! 👍
MMuxiyiniNestled in the breathtaking terraced fields scenic area, Flower Nest offers a stunning panorama from its private viewing platform. It's like a living landscape painting unfolding before your eyes, with misty terraced fields seemingly within reach. The guesthouse's design beautifully blends with nature, and the service is incredibly attentive and warm, from the owner to the aunties. Even though the Hani aunties don't speak Mandarin, their friendliness and enthusiasm are infectious. Whether for sightseeing, relaxation, or photography, this place is a perfect choice.
Some might say the only minor drawback is the 160 steps you need to climb [chuckles], but for me, it was an amazing experience. Walking along the picturesque path with the auntie carrying our luggage was an absolute delight.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right in the heart of Aicun village, with the Blue Terraces just downstairs. There's also a rapeseed flower field directly below the guesthouse, offering direct access to the terraces through the flower fields. It's not far from the Hadaipu observation deck and Azheke village, both within walking distance. If you don't feel like walking, there's a village shuttle bus for 10 yuan per person round trip. The guesthouse also offers ethnic costumes for photo ops, which is a nice touch.
GGuest UserThis inn is great, the location is great, you can really watch the sunrise while sleeping in bed, and the small courtyard on the first floor feels so good, facing the terraced fields with warm spring flowers. The room decoration and facilities are in place and comfortable. The lady boss is really nice, kind, enthusiastic, capable and hard-working, and her husband is so lucky. A group of our friends don’t want to leave, and we promise to come back next time! No need to buy tickets, just drive in and stay at the inn for a few days.
GGuest UserSo happy with this stay! High-end, modern facilities in the most incredible location. Felt more like a four star hotel. Some of the best pictures I got in Yuanyang were taken right on my balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were so helpful, and the hotel food was delicious. It's a bit more on the expensive side relative to nearby hotels, but I think it's well worth the money. Would definitely stay here again!
AAnonymous UserFirst of all, I like the decoration style of the room, it is very clean. Pictures 5, 6, and 7 are not the room types I booked. I passed by other rooms that were not occupied and they were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take pictures outside the door. The living room is also beautiful, but I forgot to take a panoramic photo.
There is a cute cat, super clingy.
You can watch the sunrise directly from the rooftop. It is also close to the Duoyishu Observation Deck.
It is not convenient to have breakfast here, but the inn provides it. Rooms without breakfast need to pay an additional 10 yuan, which is a reasonable price. There is also a restaurant next to it, which is convenient for eating and tastes good.
Parking is convenient.
In short, I am satisfied!
TTebacaService: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.
FFengqing501The hotel parking was convenient, and the front desk staff were very helpful. Initially, we parked in the courtyard, but they told us we could park in the underground garage and then take the elevator directly upstairs, avoiding climbing more than ten flights of stairs. The hotel opened in 2014, and at the time, the decor was considered high-end. The rooms were large, the wardrobes were large, the bathrooms had separate shower and toilet areas, and there was even a standing air conditioner.
However, after more than ten years, the hotel is showing signs of decay. The shower stall door couldn't be closed properly. Worst of all, the faucets were covered in limescale, and the sink countertop was also covered in limescale. Moving the toiletries box revealed a trace of limescale marking the box itself; it's hard to say how many years it would take for such severe limescale buildup to occur.
XXianghuanyoushijiedeamaoWow, you have such a wonderful guesthouse in China!
The room environment, cleanliness, and service were all excellent. Thanks to Honghe Prefecture, which isn't yet highly commercialized, I was able to stay in a guesthouse with a view comparable to a thousand-yuan guesthouse for under 400 yuan.
The guesthouse owners (doge emoji) are three young men who are warm, gentle, and kind.
They provide free red rice noodles for breakfast. We also get to drink the owners' homemade coffee. They even wash, dry, and deliver my clothes to my room.
Overall, a fantastic experience! I would sincerely recommend it to my friends!
See you next time!
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and well-equipped, with excellent furnishings. Parking was very convenient. It's located on a hillside on the other side of the scenic area, quite far from Duoyishu, so the sunrise view is significantly less impressive. The furniture was solid wood, but the bathtub and shower water temperature was only 40°C; I soaked for 20 minutes and it got freezing cold.
The front desk staff weren't very attentive to guests. When I asked about the weather, they simply replied ”I don't know” and that was it. While this is understandable, one day while she was smoking, she greeted me, and I was throwing away trash in front of her because I had too many things in my hands. She didn't even get up to help. Basically, you're only treated as a guest room; there's no other information or service.
