Pet Friendly Hotels in Yuanyang

We found a warm and friendly welcome in this remote mountain village. The owners are two young and friendly guys. We had dinner in their restaurant, which featured home-cooked food prepared by their wife. The room was beautiful, overlooking the terraces and the valley. Clean and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of ​​clouds. The sea of ​​clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of ​​clouds at Duoyishu that day.

Everything was so nice. I really enjoyed my time here! It started perfect with a free room upgrade. Then, it continued to be perfect with lots of cuddles with the dog and cat. I love the location of the guesthouse. It’s in the middle of a Hani village. You can watch the farmers doing their incredible work. You can make nice walks here. And the hosts is really helpful and can give you great advice. I am a country side girl and for me this place was absolutely perfect to calm my soul.

This guesthouse boasts an excellent location for viewing the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. After staying for two days and comparing numerous guesthouses along the Duoyishu Terraces, I can confidently say this one has a large and well-positioned viewing deck. I highly recommend it for anyone planning to catch the sunrise at the Duoyishu viewing platform. You won't need to rush there early and battle crowds; instead, you can leisurely photograph the sunrise right from the guesthouse's deck. Duoyishu Terraces are often foggy, and sunrises can be elusive, so it's a good idea to check the weather forecast beforehand. If it's foggy, you can simply wait comfortably in your room for the sun to break through before heading down. The guesthouse is built into the hillside, so cars can't drive directly to the entrance. While there's a parking lot, it's a short walk from there to the guesthouse. The hostess will meet you with an electric scooter to help with your luggage, so I'd advise packing light. The owners are a local couple; the husband cooks and the wife handles guests, and they are both very friendly. The room insulation could be better, but overall, its minor flaws are easily overlooked. Recommended!

The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

The room facilities were very new, and the double room had smart curtains, which is considered very good for the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. Breakfast was served at the hotel restaurant: rice noodles and eggs. The view was fantastic, overlooking two-thirds of the beautiful Duoyishu area – absolutely wonderful!

The hotel is easily accessible by local taxi. The view from the room with its large windows was beautiful. You can see a few houses, but also the mountains and the ever-changing weather in this region. The room itself is well furnished, and the bed was clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and tried to help me. There's also a restaurant right in the hotel, and my special requests (meat-free meals) were accommodated. Thank you for this wonderful hospitality. A hotel that I highly recommend.

The room was very spacious and well-equipped, with excellent furnishings. Parking was very convenient. It's located on a hillside on the other side of the scenic area, quite far from Duoyishu, so the sunrise view is significantly less impressive. The furniture was solid wood, but the bathtub and shower water temperature was only 40°C; I soaked for 20 minutes and it got freezing cold. The front desk staff weren't very attentive to guests. When I asked about the weather, they simply replied ”I don't know” and that was it. While this is understandable, one day while she was smoking, she greeted me, and I was throwing away trash in front of her because I had too many things in my hands. She didn't even get up to help. Basically, you're only treated as a guest room; there's no other information or service.

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great. Thanks Lucian! -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS. The location of the room is good, more than 10 minutes walk up to the Duoyishu Observation Deck, and 10 minutes walk down to the terraces from Pugao Laozhai. The sunrise can be seen from the roof of the inn, but you can't see the sunrise terraces in the same frame. Room facilities are relatively simple. The deluxe standard room has more mountain views than the ordinary standard room. The room size is the same. I personally feel that the deluxe standard room of this inn is not cost-effective, and the ordinary standard room is cost-effective. The breakfast at the inn is 15 yuan per person, which tastes good and is full.
