"I also booked this room for my elders, and I wrote a very detailed review in my previous post. In summary: the room decor rivals a star-rated hotel, the bedding is very clean and hygienic, and the owner thoughtfully pre-heats the electric blanket and heater.
The roads in the village are very narrow, and private cars aren't allowed in. Just park on a nearby street or in a parking lot and contact the owner to pick you up. The owner is an excellent driver; he maneuvers his minivan through corners and turns like a pro, and he even helps carry luggage up to the room.
Finally, you absolutely *must* listen to the owner's advice for sightseeing – it's incredibly detailed and will save you a lot of money, time, and effort. And be sure to try the food cooked by the proprietress; it's organic, healthy, fresh, and delicious. I recommend the local specialties I tried: dried beef, Hani cured meat, tree flower scrambled eggs, and stir-fried bitter greens. The other dishes and complimentary breakfast are also super tasty!
This guesthouse exceeded our expectations and gets a perfect score; my entire family was satisfied 👍
Thank you to the owner and his family for their warm and dedicated service. Wishing the owner prosperity!"

Excellent
MMuxiyiniNestled in the breathtaking terraced fields scenic area, Flower Nest offers a stunning panorama from its private viewing platform. It's like a living landscape painting unfolding before your eyes, with misty terraced fields seemingly within reach. The guesthouse's design beautifully blends with nature, and the service is incredibly attentive and warm, from the owner to the aunties. Even though the Hani aunties don't speak Mandarin, their friendliness and enthusiasm are infectious. Whether for sightseeing, relaxation, or photography, this place is a perfect choice.
Some might say the only minor drawback is the 160 steps you need to climb [chuckles], but for me, it was an amazing experience. Walking along the picturesque path with the auntie carrying our luggage was an absolute delight.
GGuest UserThis guesthouse is run by a young entrepreneur who started his business back home after graduating in '98. It boasts the best location with stunning views of the blue rice terraces. The rooms are comfortably decorated, and there's parking right outside, which is a great plus for older guests. The owner provides attentive service, communicating throughout the stay, offering personalized services like hand-drawn maps and travel tips. The staff's unique charm and attention to detail are exceptional. This guesthouse truly puts the guest experience first.
GGuest UserSo happy with this stay! High-end, modern facilities in the most incredible location. Felt more like a four star hotel. Some of the best pictures I got in Yuanyang were taken right on my balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were so helpful, and the hotel food was delicious. It's a bit more on the expensive side relative to nearby hotels, but I think it's well worth the money. Would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThis is a gem. The room absolutely looks like in the pictures. It is wonderful to sip tea in the glass abode and look at the rice terraces. Speaking of the rice terraces, in this hotel you are even closer to them than if you go to the official Duoyishu viewpoint. Duoyishu being by far the best viewpoint. So basically, it does not get any better than just looking at them from your room or from the viewing platform on top of the hotel.
Only small issue that existed - room is not that big and optimized for looking nice, so no cupboard to put your clothes.
They serve dinner for 50-60 CNY per dish (large portion), and it is tasty.
The breakfast is great.
The manager organized a private car for me back to Honghe at reasonable price.
Go here.
LLaohuyouThis guesthouse boasts an excellent location for viewing the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. After staying for two days and comparing numerous guesthouses along the Duoyishu Terraces, I can confidently say this one has a large and well-positioned viewing deck. I highly recommend it for anyone planning to catch the sunrise at the Duoyishu viewing platform. You won't need to rush there early and battle crowds; instead, you can leisurely photograph the sunrise right from the guesthouse's deck. Duoyishu Terraces are often foggy, and sunrises can be elusive, so it's a good idea to check the weather forecast beforehand. If it's foggy, you can simply wait comfortably in your room for the sun to break through before heading down. The guesthouse is built into the hillside, so cars can't drive directly to the entrance. While there's a parking lot, it's a short walk from there to the guesthouse. The hostess will meet you with an electric scooter to help with your luggage, so I'd advise packing light. The owners are a local couple; the husband cooks and the wife handles guests, and they are both very friendly. The room insulation could be better, but overall, its minor flaws are easily overlooked. Recommended!
AAnonymous UserFirst of all, I like the decoration style of the room, it is very clean. Pictures 5, 6, and 7 are not the room types I booked. I passed by other rooms that were not occupied and they were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take pictures outside the door. The living room is also beautiful, but I forgot to take a panoramic photo.
There is a cute cat, super clingy.
You can watch the sunrise directly from the rooftop. It is also close to the Duoyishu Observation Deck.
It is not convenient to have breakfast here, but the inn provides it. Rooms without breakfast need to pay an additional 10 yuan, which is a reasonable price. There is also a restaurant next to it, which is convenient for eating and tastes good.
Parking is convenient.
In short, I am satisfied!
TTebacaService: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of clouds. The sea of clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of clouds at Duoyishu that day.
GGuest UserWe went to Banna and transferred to Yuanyang. The children liked this place very much. The lady at the homestay chatted and sang with the children. The children were very excited after hearing all the flattery. The village is basically inhabited by local farmers, and the children are having a great time strolling around the village feeding chickens, pigs and cows. If the weather is warmer, I would like to stay a few more days.
GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!
