"This hotel is located in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang. We chose a room on the 4th floor with a terrace, and the view absolutely blew away all other rooms. We had a vast expanse of terraced fields right in front of us, perfect for photos at any time, especially stunningly beautiful at sunrise – no need to jostle with crowds at the Duoyishu observation deck. The room facilities were pretty complete, including a huge soaking tub, though it felt largely unnecessary. The hotel service was also excellent; they contacted us in advance about our arrival and parking. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, it's not accessible by private car, but the hotel provides a minivan for pick-up and drop-off at any time. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff were very helpful with luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel offers breakfast sets and also has an à la carte menu. I highly recommend this place for guests who want to enjoy beautiful scenery without having to get up too early or rush to crowded scenic spots. "We wanted to come here for the lasts days of our China trip, the view seemed amazing. And it is, but when you buy the guest room with view you don’t know which one you will have, they have put many pictures of different room in the booking section. So we had the one with the view over the sink and from the showers which is amazing (but when arriving I thought the view was from other side too).
We arrived and it was foggy for the whole day, fortunately we booked threee night and the next day was sunny ! I didn’t know there is so much fog in this area so think about it. We had only two choice for restaurants because it’s very small (or they didn’t tell us more) and they are really delicious.
I tried to have a lot of informations from the host to know what to do and how but it was not clear . I think they could to better to explain guest how to move around and visit. We had to go to the tourist center 20min away and have information.
The room is confortable, heating bed and heating in the room (but the heater makes a lot of noises)"

"If you are going to Honghe rice terraces, there is only ONE place you should consider staying in. Jacky's Guesthouse. First: location. The hotel is in the Duoyishu village, which will help you see average life of people living in that village. More that that, the guesthouse is right in front of Duoyishu rice terraces, so you can watch the sunrise from your roof. I have watched the sunrise from both my roof and the official viewing spot, and the viewing experience from the roof was so much more comfortable and good, because there are always a lot of people at the viewing spot, but there is only you on the roof. And the view is almost the same. The rice terraces are 5 minutes from the guesthouse, so anyone can go explore them an then come back home. Second: staff and services. The main hall is suuuper beautiful and cozy and you can order there food even quite late. The food was very tasty and not expensive. Jacky is one of the best people you will ever meet. He speaks English very well and he is very warmhearted and chill. He helped me a lot when I was living there and will help you too, so I strongly recommend you choose this guesthouse"

"The owners are very responsible; they contacted me on the day of check-in with the location and parking details. The room was spacious, and the air conditioning was strong. The views from the room, the first-floor terrace, and the rooftop terrace were perfect for watching the sunrise, the mirrored rice terraces, and the sunset glow. The food was also delicious; the dried beef fried rice was excellent—I hadn't enjoyed a big bowl of rice like that in ages. If you're not in a hurry to leave in the morning, you can change into Hani ethnic clothing for photos. The owners were very enthusiastic and even brought out headwear for me."

"This place truly feels like a divine abode. It's a serene mountain village with terraced fields stretching across the hills, and neatly arranged paddy fields. At night, countless stars twinkle above, and you can unwind on the rattan chair on the balcony. This must be what Tao Yuanming's Utopia was like.
The owner, Xiaohua, is a local. She's warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. She's brought together her fellow villagers to work and prosper together. Many of the local children are left-behind children, and she organizes bonfire parties, which entertain the guests and bring warmth to the kids. You absolutely must visit this place at least once in your lifetime."

The rooms are a bit small but have a charming local touch. The guesthouse's home-cooked meals are quite good value for money, and the owners are very nice. The only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way, and parking can be inconvenient during holidays, though the owner went out of their way to help us resolve it."

From the hotel you can visit Yuanyang terraced fields with a private driver if you can't drive.
We had a warm welcome and the staff was really helpful. They gave us advice on things to do, the best way to visit, the time that we needed...
The food at the hotel was awesome. We really like to eat spicy food so we were thrilled with every dish they served us.
I would definitely recommand this place."

"This guesthouse near the Hani Museum is excellent and highly recommended. It's quiet and peaceful. The underfloor heating was comfortably warm, and they offered dining services. The chef had several signature dishes, and they even cooked the cured meat we brought with us – it tasted absolutely amazing! Thumbs up!"

"We found a warm and friendly welcome in this remote mountain village. The owners are two young and friendly guys. We had dinner in their restaurant, which featured home-cooked food prepared by their wife. The room was beautiful, overlooking the terraces and the valley. Clean and welcoming. Recommended for anyone in the area. 🔝 Thank you for the lovely stay.

GGuest UserSo happy with this stay! High-end, modern facilities in the most incredible location. Felt more like a four star hotel. Some of the best pictures I got in Yuanyang were taken right on my balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were so helpful, and the hotel food was delicious. It's a bit more on the expensive side relative to nearby hotels, but I think it's well worth the money. Would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserYou can’t get a better view. Of all the terraces, 多依樹 Duoyishu is the best one and all the rooms here have a large window over looking the terraces. There’s also roof top access to a big viewing platform. Breakfast is good and the hotel can serve dinner at a cost, it was reasonable and the fish was delicious!!
The beds have warming function and heating unit worked great. Warm milk before bedtime was a great plus.
The shower and toilets are in the same space, even though the space is big, I still thought it was a bit awkward, but over all I had a wonderful time! Don’t come with a lot of luggage, there’s a short trail you have to walk, they will carry your luggage for you but better pack light.
Will remember always.

TTebacaService: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.

GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

Room is well maintained, spacious, clean and comfortable. The room features a view of the magnificent Yuanyang paddy field, mountain and sky through the large window. The bathroom is equipped with heating system which is super essential for the cold season.
Warm, friendly and very helpful owners providing personalized assistance and services. Definitely a great place to stay in Honghe. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserThis was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

Breakfast is served in a small restaurant downstairs, offering a Chinese-style noodle soup.
The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area.
The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery.
The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this.
Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!

EemamasI had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops.
The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. For only 70 RMB he drove me in other scenic areas both in the morning and in the afternoon and waited for me as long as I needed to (we went to Bada rice terraces, which is famous for the sunset, and he waited for me for more than two hours). He offered me food, tea and helped me to arrange my way back to the bus station in Nansha (南沙).
The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and it was possible to warm it using an electric blanket.
I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
