"This hotel is very well located, just next to the main road and only 100 meters from the scenic platform, making it super convenient for visiting the famous rice terraces. Breakfast is served in a small restaurant downstairs, offering a Chinese-style noodle soup. The staff were very helpful—the lady at the reception arranged a van for me to return to Mengzi since there’s no fixed bus schedule in the area. The rooms have a nice view of the terraces and nearby towns, though some buildings partially block the scenery. The only downside was the bathroom—when taking a shower, water splashed all over the floor because there wasn’t a proper shower enclosure. A glass partition or curtain would really improve this. Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and helpful service, just needs a small upgrade in the bathroom!"

"The most delightful surprise of this trip was staying at this guesthouse run by the Hani people! The owners, a husband and wife, were incredibly kind and hospitable, truly embodying the genuine hospitality of ethnic minorities. There was no commercial operation, just genuine warmth and human touch. From the decorating to the customer service to the meals, it was all done by the family of four, making it a truly remarkable achievement. Even more touching were their two children, a brother and sister, who, at such a young age, proactively helped clean the rooms and tidy up – their thoughtfulness was both heartwarming and admirable. All the rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with absolutely stunning views! The rooms face the terraced fields, unobstructed. Opening the window in the morning, the sunrise slowly rises from the horizon, golden sunlight bathing the vast terraced fields, with mist flowing through the mountains – a scene straight out of a fairyland. A short walk from the guesthouse leads to a path with unbeatable views! Boasting the same view as the Duoyishu Scenic Area, with panoramic sunrises and seas of clouds, it offers exceptional value. The owner is incredibly down-to-earth. They could have run a barbecue pit downstairs, but because the peak season is during holidays, the family of four couldn't handle it all. So, true to their original intention, they focused on running a great guesthouse first and didn't rush into developing a restaurant. This isn't one of those commercialized, trendy guesthouses; it's a truly warm, scenic, and story-filled home. Hopefully, more people will discover this kind of conscientious guesthouse. 📍 Tips: 1. There are parking spaces in front, which is a huge plus in the Duoyishu Scenic Area. 2. Ask the owner for directions to that side street; it's very close."
