We stayed for three nights and we had a great stay here in Azheke. Excellent location to see or walk through the UNESCO World Heritage rice fields.
We felt very welcomed by the hosts, who invited us to share the dinners with them. We had very warmful and interesting conversations discovering the culture and heritage of the Hani people.

"On the terraced fields, a place I started to miss as soon as I left. I missed the internet celebrity 🐶Kabu who has been working hard, and I missed the fat and kind boss of the inn who advised the guests to order less food and wrote handwritten notes to tell the guests how to find the best attractions! The innkeeper Bingbing, a shy boy who speaks in a slow and babyish voice, answers all the guests' questions patiently and carefully. The boss is cute and interesting. He can cook delicious meals. His chicken soup is especially recommended. The boss knows Yunnan tourism very well. Friends who are visiting Yunnan for the first time should talk to him more, and they will gain unexpected benefits. There are not many rooms in the inn, and each one has large floor-to-ceiling windows. The terraced fields outside the windows are picturesque, and the area is large enough to make the living experience comfortable. Special recommendation must be made to his Chinese pastoral dog, Kabu, who is an internet celebrity. He works diligently every day, treats guests from all over the world equally, is well-behaved and fawning, greets guests every day, takes guests to visit the terraced fields, and looks sad when he is lying on the ground, but he is loved by everyone. After arriving at the hotel, the boss waited for us in the parking lot and helped us with our luggage. After check-in, the hotel also sent afternoon tea in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the lotus has been over the season, but the scenery of the terraces in the distance is very spectacular, similar to the Yuanyang terraces, with the characteristics of the Hani people, there is a tea table in the room to make tea in the stove. The setting is more original, the bed is very comfortable, the hair dryer is very windy, the bath water pressure is very large, it is about 10 minutes drive from Yuanyang Terraces and Azheke Scenic Area, the distance between the rooms is far, relatively quiet

Nestled in the breathtaking terraced fields scenic area, Flower Nest offers a stunning panorama from its private viewing platform. It's like a living landscape painting unfolding before your eyes, with misty terraced fields seemingly within reach. The guesthouse's design beautifully blends with nature, and the service is incredibly attentive and warm, from the owner to the aunties. Even though the Hani aunties don't speak Mandarin, their friendliness and enthusiasm are infectious. Whether for sightseeing, relaxation, or photography, this place is a perfect choice.
Some might say the only minor drawback is the 160 steps you need to climb [chuckles], but for me, it was an amazing experience. Walking along the picturesque path with the auntie carrying our luggage was an absolute delight.

The room has a small air conditioner, and there's plenty of hot water. You can also catch beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the rooftop. They also offer traditional Hani ethnic clothing. The clothes feel really high-quality and substantial when you wear them – perfect for amazing photos.
😍😍 What's even better is that their food is truly delicious. My sister is quite a picky eater, but she absolutely loved their dipping sauce chicken!
👊👊 Finally, for watching the sunrise, you should definitely go to their village's viewing platform. It's much better than going to the paid scenic spots or other free, hidden corners. I hired a driver who took me to a free sunrise viewing spot that was quite remote, and the view wasn't great. After watching the sunrise there, we came back to the village. When we passed the viewing platform, I was stunned by the sight! ❗ You absolutely *must* go to the village's free viewing platform (it's incredible value for money).

I personally think the room worth every cent paid for as every angle is a piece of art. The owner & workers make us felt very welcome and well taken care of. View wise should be great as managed to capture night photos of ladies carry our luggages, the moon and the stars, however morning was covered with thick mist so just has to imagine the beauty which lies ahead.

You can’t get a better view. Of all the terraces, 多依樹 Duoyishu is the best one and all the rooms here have a large window over looking the terraces. There’s also roof top access to a big viewing platform. Breakfast is good and the hotel can serve dinner at a cost, it was reasonable and the fish was delicious!!
The beds have warming function and heating unit worked great. Warm milk before bedtime was a great plus.
The shower and toilets are in the same space, even though the space is big, I still thought it was a bit awkward, but over all I had a wonderful time! Don’t come with a lot of luggage, there’s a short trail you have to walk, they will carry your luggage for you but better pack light.
Will remember always.

Service: My tire pressure kept going off, so I called the owner to ask where I could get a tire repaired. He gave me two directions. We were turned away at the first one in Shengcun (it was closed). We were about to head down the mountain to the old county town when we saw another one at the exit of a one-way street and got the air in. After driving to the private parking lot, we called the B&B to come and help us with our luggage. A Hani woman swiftly carried our 17kg suitcase. The owner was gentle and versatile. Since it was raining, we decided to eat at the B&B. She prepared stir-fried chicken, a mushroom omelet, beetroot egg drop soup, and garlic chayote flowers, and even gave us fried peanuts to go with our drinks.
Facilities: The room amenities were excellent, with Kohler bathroom fixtures. The only downside was the lack of a curtain around the toilet.
Environment: The view of the terraced rice fields couldn't be better! I could sit on the balcony and watch the sea of clouds. There's even a phone holder on the railing for time-lapse photography—a really thoughtful touch. It's about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu Observation Deck. Unfortunately, it rained both days we stayed there, so we didn't get to see either sunrise or sunset.
There's a local dog named Guolai in the shop. He's so well-behaved, but he's trying to lose weight.

The room was very spacious and clean, with down comforters. The owner must have had it designed; the decor and quality were excellent. The food in the cafeteria was especially delicious. Although there were trendy restaurants nearby, we chose to eat at the guesthouse, and it was definitely the right choice. The ingredients were good, and the food tasted great. I glanced at the kitchen, and it was very clean and reassuring. The owner and head chef were very down-to-earth, which was reassuring. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the Duoyishu viewing platform, which conveniently avoids the traffic congestion, and it's also closer to the sea of clouds. The sea of clouds in the picture was seen about 200 meters away from Duoyishu from the guesthouse; there was no sea of clouds at Duoyishu that day.

Guest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

Guest UserThe hotel is architecturally beautiful, with a good location that offers some view of the terraces. However, due to unkempt vegetation, majority of the promised views have become obscured. Can still walk to the nearby public viewing platform 200m away for a better view.
Service crew is prompt and tries to be as accommodating as possible. Have to understand that Yuanyang itself is a remote rural area with few buildings. For meals, there is no food delivery unlike other touristy areas. But, the hotel kitchen whips up very satisfying home cooked menu using fresh produce at an affordable price. We enjoyed the crispest and most delicious plate of stir fried cabbages here.
More on the food, they do less oil less salt options that are still incredibly tasty and easier on a foreigner palette. Breakfast was simple and tried to focus on natural flavours of the produce, also meaning it had toddler friendly options.

BastifantastiThe hotel is easily accessible by local taxi. The view from the room with its large windows was beautiful. You can see a few houses, but also the mountains and the ever-changing weather in this region. The room itself is well furnished, and the bed was clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and tried to help me. There's also a restaurant right in the hotel, and my special requests (meat-free meals) were accommodated. Thank you for this wonderful hospitality. A hotel that I highly recommend.
